I saw in your comments that you used Ardell individual lashes. I can't het these on without looking like a clown to save my life. They twist and turn and I never know where to put them. They looked beautiful on you. Any tips? Perhaps a tutorial?
Goodness, I'm not too good, either--I just make sure I let the (DUO surgical adhesive--from MAC) glue dry a little and get tacky, then I just put a few clumps of tem on the ends--I like these better than the whole strips--then go over with my Lancome Artliner--thanks! :)) Lisa
I use stromboli in the nars foundation so I doubt it will work for you since I am so much darker than you, but hey you never know. Btw I have the same issue with my neck being so much lighter than my face it makes it real hard finding a foundation. Great stuff Lisa! Mary

Hope you had a great holiday!! I have to tell you that I did get the Nars Sheer Glow foundation~I was matched to Deauville but I don't think this foundation agrees with my Cetaphil moisturizer~I had to change moisturizers and now I love it!!! I think that the Cetaphil dosen't absorb into the skin fast enough so the foundation slides around on my face!! I guess I'm used to a heavier coverage foundation but I love the feel of the Nars foundation!! Hope you can find your color!!!
Oh, I'm jealous!! I want to go to a Nars counter so bad!! I understand about the moisturizer, I don't even use one, I just use my primer and that's it!! I can't wait to try it again--I tried the Pro Lumiere in Cameo today--I mixed it with a pump of the Beige Vita Lumiere and I really liked it--I'm making my own foundation cocktails these days!! I did have a nice holiday, thank you. :) Right now with the EL Double Wear, I've been using Bare Escentuals' Mineral Veil, and it has been working well but Make Up For Ever's HD Microfinish Powder is much better because it leaves your skin looking really smooth and not powdery like the Mineral Veil sometimes can (for me, and I have combination skin).

I'm thinking I have to send my Nars Sheer Glow back too! I also got Punjab, but similar to you - my neck is way darker than my face; and whereas my body pulls more yellow, my face is more neutral! Ugh, makes it tough. I also got Rose Amethyst a few months ago and agree with you - it is LOVE! Too Faced's Free Love is very very similar in color and texture; so ppl may still see if that's available. Please let us know how you like Melba, as I've thought about getting it but just never have. =)

estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Linen has been my fav foundtation for over 10 years. I also LOVE Loreal Infallible foundation. It works just as well as EL and half the cost. Good color selection too. I have the same problem with foundation colors because I am so pale with pink cheeks.
I am loving the EL Double Wear! I wore the lightest shade yesterday, and today I mixed them--I can't tell what I like better!! I will also look at the LOreal, I just wish you could sample that!! I like that the EL is so neutral--it's perfect for the redness!! Thanks! :)) Lisa

Hi Lisa. I looked up Cyber Monday as you suggested and I believe it is tomorrow so I hope your Hubby has a good one. I think UK retailers also have a Cyber Monday which is the 1st one in December. So I feel it my duty to support the cause :-) Mine may have to wait til Tuesday as my daughter has an operation to remove tonsils and adenoids tomorrow :-( I have 2 shades of EL double wear which I mix and sometimes add some EL "spotlight" cream to give it a more luminous look.

You're too kind!! I don't use a "moisturizer" before my makeup--I just use the Mac Prep N Prime SPF 50--it has a lot of Zinc Oxide in it which helps soothe and also helps with the oilies!! I've used it for over a year or so--love it!! Thanks again!! :)) Lisa

I'll get some out and try it--the formulation is the best part, though--it's super creamy and very moisturizing--you don't even need gloss--I think a lot of Estee Lauder lipsticks are this way--I'll have to ask them (the EL counter) what the closest color would be!! I LOVE Rose amethyst! It's only limited edition in the UK (Is it limited in the US?) - it was available here a few months ago and I got the last one in my local store, and I am SO happy with it, it's beautiful. It looks fabulous with the fig lip liner, I will have to go and buy that too :) xxx

It was limited with a collection called 'Sensuous Gold' in August/September time but some counters may well have a few left over, it's definitely worth asking or ringing around stores to see if they have any. I know for a fact that Debenhams in Taunton have some left (they did last weekend). The girls on the counter there are great and will post it out to you.. you just need to pay over the phone but it's all very safe. Good luck with finding it! x

Lisa i figured out why Bobbi browns concealer quit working..i have a new foundation sue devitt triple seaweed.. its very light airy and gel like.. So remembered the number one rule i learned yrs ago..like products attract .sues makeup is water based / so that was the issue- I have a mirrense touch-up its like YSL but better! in my opinion and much cheaper-i can easily apply this over makeup with out built up. (Australian cosmetic) yea!!.. i dont have dark circles any more. love shelly

I've been having the same problem w/ my foundation! Ever since I stopped tanning it seems like I just cannot get my foundation color right lately!! I recently watched some of gossmakeupartists' videos where he talks about using 2 different colors of foundation.. the darker around the perimeter of your face and the lighter shade concentrated toward the center of your face.. and it actually provides a contoured/highlighting effect too! I've been doing it for the last 2 weeks and it's been amazing!

A foundation that I've been using is Shiseido lifting foundation and I really like it. I use Lancome Dual Finish powder over the top and I love the combo of those two. I'll have to go check out Beauty Is Relative, those prices sound amazing!

The Dual Finish is made to wear alone if you use it wet I think but over liquid using it dry w/the sponge pad it gets you great coverage w/out looking "cakey".
I ALWAYS come back to CG LashBlast--I like the Mac Zoom Fast Black Lash, but it is really goopie--you have to work with it a little, the BadGal is good, but not amazing, the YSL Faux Cils is good, but dries up so quickly--so, LBlast is the one I buy over and over!! I used some individual lashes in this vid--I think 3-4 on each eye--makes a difference! Thanks!! Lisa

Gail got me to try the Double Wear Estee Lauder foundation too, so I got a sample of the color "Dusk". I'm going to buy the full bottle this week! When I do, I'm going to check out fig and rose amethyst, they look gorgeous on you! Can't wait to see them in person, hope they work for me too. Especially, since I have a $40 credit to use! I saw in your comments that you used Ardell individual lashes. I can't het these on without looking like a clown to save my life. They twist and turn and I never know where to put them. They looked beautiful on you. Any tips? Perhaps a tutorial?

Goodness, I'm not too good, either--I just make sure I let the (DUO surgical adhesive--from MAC) glue dry a little and get tacky, then I just put a few clumps of tem on the ends--I like these better than the whole strips--then go over with my Lancome Artliner--thanks! :)) Lisa

I use stromboli in the nars foundation so I doubt it will work for you since I am so much darker than you, but hey you never know. Btw I have the same issue with my neck being so much lighter than my face it makes it real hard finding a foundation. Great stuff Lisa! Mary

Hope you had a great holiday!! I have to tell you that I did get the Nars Sheer Glow foundation~I was matched to Deauville but I don't think this foundation agrees with my Cetaphil moisturizer~I had to change moisturizers and now I love it!!! I think that the Cetaphil dosen't absorb into the skin fast enough so the foundation slides around on my face!! I guess I'm used to a heavier coverage foundation but I love the feel of the Nars foundation!! Hope you can find your color!!!

Oh, I'm jealous!! I want to go to a Nars counter so bad!! I understand about the moisturizer, I don't even use one, I just use my primer and that's it!! I can't wait to try it again--I tried the Pro Lumiere in Cameo today--I mixed it with a pump of the Beige Vita Lumiere and I really liked it--I'm making my own foundation cocktails these days!! I did have a nice holiday, thank you. :) Right now with the EL Double Wear, I've been using Bare Escentuals' Mineral Veil, and it has been working well but Make Up For Ever's HD Microfinish Powder is much better because it leaves your skin looking really smooth and not powdery like the Mineral Veil sometimes can (for me, and I have combination skin).

I'm thinking I have to send my Nars Sheer Glow back too! I also got Punjab, but similar to you - my neck is way darker than my face; and whereas my body pulls more yellow, my face is more neutral! Ugh, makes it tough. I also got Rose Amethyst a few months ago and agree with you - it is LOVE! Too Faced's Free Love is very very similar in color and texture; so ppl may still see if that's available. Please let us know how you like Melba, as I've thought about getting it but just never have. =)

estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Linen has been my fav foundtation for over 10 years. I also LOVE Loreal Infallible foundation. It works just as well as EL and half the cost. Good color selection too. I have the same problem with foundation colors because I am so pale with pink cheeks.

Hi Lisa. I looked up Cyber Monday as you suggested and I believe it is tomorrow so I hope your Hubby has a good one. I think UK retailers also have a Cyber Monday which is the 1st one in December. So I feel it my duty to support the cause :-) Mine may have to wait til Tuesday as my daughter has an operation to remove tonsils and adenoids tomorrow :-( I have 2 shades of EL double wear which I mix and sometimes add some EL "spotlight" cream to give it a more luminous look.

You're too kind!! I don't use a "moisturizer" before my makeup--I just use the Mac Prep N Prime SPF 50--it has a lot of Zinc Oxide in it which helps soothe and also helps with the oilies!! I've used it for over a year or so--love it!! Thanks again!! :)) Lisa

Sure, Marina! I'll get some out and try it--the formulation is the best part, though--it's super creamy and very moisturizing--you don't even need gloss--I think a lot of Estee Lauder lipsticks are this way--I'll have to ask them (the EL counter) what the closest color would be!! I LOVE Rose amethyst! It's only limited edition in the UK (Is it limited in the US?) - it was available here a few months ago and I got the last one in my local store, and I am SO happy with it, it's beautiful. It looks fabulous with the fig lip liner, I will have to go and buy that too :) xxx

sorry! It was limited with a collection called 'Sensuous Gold' in August/September time but some counters may well have a few left over, it's definitely worth asking or ringing around stores to see if they have any. I know for a fact that Debenhams in Taunton have some left (they did last weekend). The girls on the counter there are great and will post it out to you.. you just need to pay over the phone but it's all very safe. Good luck with finding it! x

Lisa i figured out why Bobbi browns concealer quit working..i have a new foundation sue devitt triple seaweed.. its very light airy and gel like.. So remembered the number one rule i learned yrs ago..like products attract .sues makeup is water based / so that was the issue- I have a mirrense touch-up its like YSL but better! in my opinion and much cheaper-i can easily apply this over makeup with out built up. (Australian cosmetic) yea!!.. i dont have dark circles any more. love shelly

I've been having the same problem w/ my foundation! Ever since I stopped tanning it seems like I just cannot get my foundation color right lately!! I recently watched some of gossmakeupartists' videos where he talks about using 2 different colors of foundation.. the darker around the perimeter of your face and the lighter shade concentrated toward the center of your face.. and it actually provides a contoured/highlighting effect too! I've been doing it for the last 2 weeks and it's been amazing!

A foundation that I've been using is Shiseido lifting foundation and I really like it. I use Lancome Dual Finish powder over the top and I love the combo of those two. I'll have to go check out Beauty Is Relative, those prices sound amazing!

Hey Miki! I wish I had a Sephora, I don't have any Shiseido or Nars counters near me--but I do love Lancome, I'll have to check out the powder--I've never used it over foundation--just by itself--thank you!! :)) Lisa

The Dual Finish is made to wear alone if you use it wet I think but over liquid using it dry w/the sponge pad it gets you great coverage w/out looking "cakey".

I am using smokey lash and I do love it but just wanted to swich it up

I ALWAYS come back to CG LashBlast--I like the Mac Zoom Fast Black Lash, but it is really goopie--you have to work with it a little, the BadGal is good, but not amazing, the YSL Faux Cils is good, but dries up so quickly--so, LBlast is the one I buy over and over!! I used some individual lashes in this vid--I think 3-4 on each eye--makes a difference! Thanks!! Lisa
