• nicely done! but isn't that against the law? combining star trek and star wars?

  • Great I can watch this video again in my coutry

  • i love Q's "little speech" just before the music

  • good Job "Q" is always trouble no matter what era. thanks theinquisitor nice video. Delta quadrant :)

  • Works quite well I think! I noctied some Trek tunes in their too on slight bits.

  • I hope you get to drown in Stovokor's sewers for making this mutant :)

  • NICE.

  • I personally think "Battle of the Heroes" would've worked better

  • I'm not familar with "Battle of the Heroes", is that a music track? What's it from?

  • It was the song that played while Anakin and Obi Wan were dueling on Mustafar in "Revenge of the Sith". It's pretty intense.

  • Cool, perhaps I'll use it for a future project, thanks for the suggestion.

  • @theinquisitor it is from the newist starwas the regenge of the sith battle of the heros

  • is the track at loop

  • Some of that sounds like Starcraft music. Heh.

  • Can you tell me the name of that music?

  • It's a mix of the track "Duel of the Fates" from the soundtrack to "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace", and the techno remix of the same piece.

  • tank you

  • haha, nice.

check out my new star wars drum n bass mix :D

  • very good and i like star trek and star wars

  • I think of a theme as like in Darth Vaders theme the Klingon theme

Something we all know not a peice from an episode :P

  • Yeah, but everything needs a theme, so you just make do with what you have.

  • I have NEVER heard of a Borg theme

Klingon theme I know but where is the Borg theme?

  • I don't think there was anything that was used as frequently as the Klingon theme, but I've always thought of the music that goes with the Borg has a particular character. For example, in Best of Both Worlds, when Picard faces the image of the Borg cube approaching in the viewscreen. After he says "magnify", the music comes in. That's what I think is the most Borg-ish music. I think the music in First Contact has some similarities too perhaps.

  • I liked that you had Ben Sisko and the battle of Wolf 359 in this

    The music fit perfectly

Too bad there was never a Borg theme

  • There is a Borg theme

  • Thanks. I love the Borg themes too, but for this I was trying to do the unspeakable and put Star Wars music to Star Trek video.

I wish some ambitious 3D animator would try to animate the whole battle of Wolf 359. That would be something. Maybe I'll do it one day if I get a lot better at animation.

  • very good vid but why did ya put star trek with its sci fi opponent's music?

  • Good question. Partly it was just to screw with the die hard Trekkies and Star Wars fans who can't stand the other one. I don't like it when the fans get tribal and bitch at each other. It seems to me that anyone who loves the message of Star Trek should be open to different things. As the vulcans say "infinite diversity in infinite combinations."

Also I thought the choral nature of the Star Wars music lent itself well to the Borg.

  • Show of sound track....very good ...

  • very very good vid sounds like a five star

  • what is the background music

  • has any seen the star trek v star wars week on sky movies sic fi and thriller

  • my favroite star trek video on youtube thank you for making it

  • Thanks very much, glad you liked it.

  • I am Locutus of Borg. Resistance is futile

  • This is my favorite Star Trek video on Youtube. Thank you for posting it.

  • Thanks very much, that's high praise considering the numbers of Star Trek videos on youtube. Glad you liked it.

  • thats true

  • the answer why they use force is ovious. They are perfection all other life needs to be perfect. They are better all life must join them and improve themselves. If they dont their being irrational. Collective minds dont bring compassion and reason those are singular concepts. A collective mind sees only threat non threat and food and to the borg all ships and personal are food.

  • the borg are like our future selvez

  • Perhaps, but I'm not so sure that linking minds would create a malevolent collective consciousness. It seems to me it would be capable of greater compassion and reason than the sum of it's parts. I've often wondered what the origin of the Borg was, and why they tended towards force.

  • Try playing Star Trek: Legacy :) Interesting storyline about the Borg. Unexpected...but still cool.

    BTW, awesome video.

  • This was really good. I loved how you matched the musich pitches with the movie. Really well done!

  • *hears borg voice* thats jus plain creepy

  • can i use some clips from this movie?

  • Sure, but my username will be there in the top right. You might want to look around for a copy without that there. I don't mind if it's there, but might look odd if it appears suddenly when you edit in those pieces.

  • thanks!

  • o.0 Q!

  • q episodes were some of the best star trek episodes

  • Loved the way you worked around BOBW and Emissary to show Wolf 359 properly

  • This is alright - music doesnt go too well

  • That was ALL RIGHT, not great!

  • hey ppl i mad a vid called Star Trek TNG "Faced With The Past". check it out sometime

  • Sacrilege! But otherwise it takes me back to happy times.

  • I knew it was wrong, but it felt so right :D

  • Thanks to everyone for your positive comments and favouriting. I may be banned soon for bullshit reasons but I'll be back under the account inquisit0r. See my latest video for more details.

  • What are the tags for it?

  • It's called "Hardcase's retribution is not coming... but he said it was". He's not going to try to get me banned any more, even though he said he would. So there's no real danger now. Thanks.

  • this is an incredible video.

  • its great believe me

but (theres always a but) i think you stetched the song to long, my opinion nuttin else

  • Yeah I agree. In hindsight, maybe I should have mixed in some other music too. I didn't expect it to be so long when I started it and I was even considering moving onto First Contact, but that would have been too much. Thanks.

  • wut episode is this from?

  • Some scenes from "Q Who" (series 2 episode 16), most of it is from "The Best of Both Worlds" (series 3 episode 26 and series 4 episode 1) and the battle of Wolf 359 with Sisko is from "Emissary" the first episode of Deep Space Nine.

  • Very Impressive, well done

  • Nice flow of events. well done!

  • wow

    Q's a genius, cool guy

  • That was superb well done.

  • q's well good

  • I was thinking it might be too long, but your story flowed. It went by fast. Excellent....

  • Thanks, I had some great material to work with. Must have seen the episode a hundred times.

  • I thought it was excellent... :P

Love Star Trek, love Star Wars... :D

  • KICK ASS VIDEO.

But you dont mix star wars music with STAR TREK movies. Star Trek is too good for that.

  • Thanks, I knew it was wrong, and that's why I had to do it.

  • GREAT MUSIC AND VIDEO !!!! ^-^

  • Great battle footage and great music being used for this sequence what a great combination please any more footage please do the same

  • I have to watch it first....

i could have been better, but it was ok

  • great. thank u ...

  • very good video, love the episode clips you used, "Q who" "the Best of both worlds" and "the Emissary" at least i think those are all the episodes it showed, and "Duel of the Fates" fit it quite well.

  • Thanks, I just wish I could have thought of a decent title. I couldn't think of anything that fit well so "Borg music video with star wars music" was the best I could do. I hate titles.

  • theinquistor, i'll have that answer for you soon

  • very cool video

  • COOL! :D

  • nice clips and editing, but the original music fit much better.

  • Very cool!

  • A good selection of Borg scenes of series 2&3 of STTNG.

I liked the way they put the Saratoga into the battle of Wolf 359, but where was Admiral Hansen, when he tried to communicate to Enterprise. I still believe that Admiral Hansen was aboard the USS Melbourne.

  • During Hansens's hail to the enterprise from the battle, he states that the fight isn't going well and fleet is attempting to withdraw and regroup. The Melbourne is the first ship destroyed by the cube (excelsior class). Hansen must have been alive until the fight had progressed somewhat in order to state that the fight isn't going well, and so couldn't have been aboard the Melbourne, since that ship didn't have the chance to see the battle progress at all.

  • I doubt it. On 'Emissary' DS9, the Melbourne (Excelsior), Saratoga (Miranda), 1 Oberth-class, 1 Ambassador-class, 1 Nebular-class attacking the Cube -- others obviously destroyed.

Melbourne was 1 of 5 who passed and survived, suffered damage, came back to attack.

Hansen told Riker that the fight is not going well, ordering a withdraw-and-regroup -- but the saucer section is blown -- and then cut off.

  • While Hansen is in communication with the Enterprise, you can see that the ship is under fire because of the way he is rocking about. In the scene where the Melbourne is destroyed, only a single shot from the cube is shown. Also after Locutus's opening hail, the Saratoga is ordered to ready weapons and advance on the cube. It's possible that this happened during the regrouping action, but then why would Locutus hail at this point? What evidence is there that Hansen was on the Melbourne?

  • I was just thinking that about 30 seconds after posting the message lol. sorry :-)

  • Haha no worries. It's remarkable how self-consistent Star Trek manages to be considering the number of different writers over such a long time. So much so that trekkies can debate about what really happened.

  • Yeah, I know :-D. Sometimes I'm convinced I'm correct on some things.

I have been trying to write a book on the Earth-Romulan War, and it's not easy with such little information. How about this for a theory: The Romulans infiltrated Enterprise, NX-01, and removed the Xindi vortex technology, and eventually adjusted/modified to create an artificial singularity - a black hole, to power their Warbirds.

  • Did the Enterprise get hold of vortex technology? I thought they just used vortexes generated by other ships. Is there an established link between Xindi vortexes and quantum singularities? I think the Romulans never used anti-matter, which is why they used forced black holes. Remember the singularity used by the Romulans is only a power source, not a method of bending space itself.

  • You remember they boarded Degra's ship, they might not have got the technology, but i bet they downloaded it with the rest of the database to gt as much information on the Xindi as possible.

  • the hand to hand combat choreography is incredible, how did they pull off those stunts?

  • I can't find a Darth Vader vs Borg vid. I'm surprised since they are the two most evil forces ever

  • Imagine if the Borg could assimilate a force user, would that drone have force powers? Would the entire collective learn how to use the force, combining their collective will?

  • If that was the case, the Borg would know telekinesis, telepathy, surely one or two species would know certain skills. So it must be suppressed someohow.

  • I applaud for your work. I am a StarWars fan, and it's one the awsome things where you add SW and Trek together :D (Nice... Duel of Fates is cool)

  • This video had...

Q à la John de Lancie

Captain Picard and Locutus of Borg à la Patrick Stewart

Duel of the Fates (with well-edited coreography)

    Borg

    The Battle of Wolf 359

Sisko à la... ...the guy who played Sisko

    Data vs. Locutus

    Lots of explosions

Yes, this is definitely sacrilege. Then again, so is pre-marital sex. The difference is that Star Trek/Wars is more satisfying.

  • That music's not star wars - it's carmina burana by carl orff :D

  • You're mistaken. It's a mix of the Duel of the Fates from Episode One and the techno remix version of the same song. Trust me I made it and I know carmina burana, they're just both choral.

  • Hmm, I've googled it and yes you are right! They are very similar though so don't hate me!

  • Haha no hate man, just thought I'd point it out.

  • A great effort!!!

  • I've made a Star Trek music video about the Dominion. It's on my videos. Hope you like it.

  • Cool, fits really well.

  • very nicely done! Grats!

  • SICK! I love the borg!
