I got a horrible jolt when the poppy, bollywoody bit started about 1:36 - I had thought these guys were giving some sort of actual concert-hall/cultural performance.... Lol! Talk about dissonance!
And then...despite the cheesy movie production-values, somehow... maybe because the depth of feeling in the voices, the song itself, is real... well, somehow it just pulled me in all over again. Does something in your chest, doesn't it?

Most of the worlds Muslims are Muslims because of the work of Sufis centuries ago. @mrsdhontha Read Hadith Qudsi 25! Furthermore, there are two kinds of Shirk > i) Shirk e bizaat and ii) Shirk e bisifaat. The first one is to worship someone besides Allah, as God. The later one is to believe or worship some attribute of something believing that its equivalent to Allah. Shirk is pretty clear subject. New interpretation of Shirk from the 18th century changed a lot in the minds of the people.
@artistdigital there are so many ways u can do shirk.what i just mentioned above is how darga is being a shirk n the proof frm holy quran.. :) so all the followers of darga are not considered as muslims and they r truly misguided. may there eyes get open wide enough to see wats wrong n wats not.. may there minds get much wiser to think wats happening on this world today n wat they might face afterwards becox of their wrong doings.fear god.fear for his punishment n anger which might b upon u n us
@mrsdhontha Where in the Qur'an bro? Point at the verse so that I may take you to the context and pre 18th century interpretations. Dargah isn't a shirk at all. If some individuals do Shirk thats another thing altogether!
Hello! Someone please explain to me what this song is about. I would also love to know why many non-sufis think that Sufism is not islam. I know it has something to do with praising and praying to old wise imams, but I would really and truly appreciate a bit more explanaition.
@BigLittlePlanet yes many muslim or must say lots of muslim thinks that sufism is not actual islam because in it the sufis are too much praised even much that they seem to be much more important than Allah and his beloved prophet the shabis and hazrat mohammad peace be upon him never preached that thing in Islam he only gives the concept of Allah and His worship and nothing else.
even Hazrat Mohammad peace be upon him didn't ask for his worship but yes durod to him so how could it be to love
I really don't understand Why we have to ruin a beautifull dedication to God, cal him God, Khuda (allah), Bhagwan, Wahe guru or what ever you want, at the end we are just nominating one. As said by Sai Baba (the real one, who wasn't Hindu, Musslim or Sikh) "Every one belongs to one ("Sab ka malik ek")".
As I'm Hindu, I respect every one, and I'd really like if none interfere with religion, 'coz religion + politics just takes to hell.
@Sihera1sabu A lot Of Differenet, Hindi Is Hindi But When You Change the words of Hindi with Words From Arabic, Persian, Turkiche and Poruguesse, Then The New Language Formed is Urdu...!
@Sihera1sabu urdu is purly india language born in agra it is mixture of northen indian language with persian based on afghan and iranian influance. beacasue moghal emperor settle in india for centuries so new langage develop was urdu . now it is national language of pakistan. who know hindi they can understand urdu but can not write bcz of it arebic script.this song is in urdu but sufi are not strict muslim . sufi cult is maily in india and iran.their worship is differant from orthodox muslim.
@smcbridemtl : Yes it is mystical brach of Islam and every religion has similar branches... mystics... I wish the whole world look at this side of each religion and learn to love eeryone and live with each other in peace and harmony. This is the true side of every religion and GOD...eerything else is just practice and rituals
You are wrong about the song being Hindu. A.R. Rahman converted to a Sufi Muslim and his song is a meditative worship of his belief, that what he said in a recent interview anyway; perhaps you know better?
As for Muslims dedicating "all the songs" they hear to their Allah is also wrong. I would guess any follower, of any religion, would do the same if the song moved then to some spiritual place in their heads...
Allah had 99 names, Ya-Allah, Ya-Rahman, Ya-Rahim like that. How come Ya-Khajaji came now ?? Its not permitted in Islam and no one can defend saying its a sufi song when the ground platform is wrong. And have you seen the grave yard of Prophet Muhammad, its not even build with a single brick at any side. You see what is happening in Ajmeer, the Kabar is made bigger and with silk over that and all. I dont think there is someone so much bigger and important than Allah's Rasool. Its not done there
@mohamedansif mate Allah HAS 99 names not HAD lol. mate Allah is greateer than all of his rasools & our rasool [pbhu] said v are not to place him above or lower than any other prophet. :) salam
@mohamedansif when will you move away from the physical islam? Try to understand islam spiritually and not just physically. Learn more about sufism and you will understand the hidden meaning behind islam. There is more to islam that just following 5 pillars and praying. without love you have not understood islam. Learn more about sufism and you will see why sufis are what all muslims should be. Their love for allah surpasses all boundries
Actually robertteuma, this song is not from the Hindu religion, it is a practice amongst some Sufi groups--Sufism is like a branch off of Islam--it still fall under the category of Muslims academically and according to Islamic scholars unless they do not believe in the 6 pillars of faith or the five pillars of Islam generally. The song is dedicated to a person who lived before--a scholar perhaps but not a Hindu God
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
You know what surprises me about you muslims, all the songs that you hear beautiful, you dedicate them to Allah, this song is Hindu song and dedicated to the Hindu Gods, not Muslim God. I am Christian, i am speaking neutrally
@robertteuma This song is not dedicated to Hindu Gods. It would help if you were able to understand the language rather than make an assumption. This song is for a Sufi saint.
@robertteuma : Supergrl10 is right this song is dedicated to Khwaja (a (Muslim) Sufi Saint) from the Chishti order of the Sufis. So check the Urdu before guessing or biasing the content of this video. Oh and one last add, your religion is not relevent to this content of this video, especially that you're a christian and not a muslim and especially not a Sufi.
I bet Robert is an ignorant American who can't even point India out on a map let alone understand a word of Urdu inorder to understand the islamic content of this song...LOL

@heartscience : hey i to am a christian ....what u replied to robertteuma was right yet wrong....if someone's religion is different does not mean he is wrong he is just unaware of the muslim sufi and saints and pious shah sb's ...but any song of praise whether for a christian or a muslim...remember God is one it just its just the way we praise him makes it a bit different..im not trying to be absurd ...i to have strong belief's..tc
@aloysiamanuel You are repeating what I say however... It is true that Allah (God in Arabic called by Christian Arabs and Muslims) or Jehova (God in Hebrew) or God are all the same God however in Islam it is strictly forbidden to compare his Prophets to him (i.e. as the Christians do with Jesus (whom acc. to Islam was a Prophet(peace be upon him))) or the holy angels. In Islam comparting any of the other creations to Him is regarded as an insult....
@aloysiamanuel That is why I gave that response to Robert. SUfism is the philosophical path of religions and its most complete form is found in Islam (followed by Shia Muslims) though Imam Ali(A) who is named in the song. He was the King of mysticism. There is a famous Christian scholar, George Jordaq, who has written the book "The voice of justice" concerning the personality of Imam Ali.
@MyAennchen Yes but still it is a philosophy but it is not a religion, which many are confusing. It is a tariqa (meaning path, line, way) and therefore requires a fundamental compenent which is laws of God for it to ejecte the person to the Skies. Without these fundamental rules, which in Islam are derived from the teachings of God through the Holy Quran and the last Prophet(A) and his closest and most loyal and faithful ones Imam Ali(A) his daughter and the rest of the 11 Imam(A).
@MyAennchen ...To love a mother of father doesn't help much if you don't prove that; you have to manifest it by practicing the laws of the parents, so that manner your parents will accept you as a faithful child. The same does for God's laws (Quran and ahadith), in order to move towards God's Eternal Light you have to submit yourself to the path of those who did the same to the extent of perfection and those are the ones I named, and before them all other Prophets(peace be upon them all).
@MyAennchen ... Singing and dancing won't help besides give you a non-lasting melodic effect in you biological system which melts down after a few hours or days. Therefore sufism alone is incomplete, it requires the "pilars of religion".
@MyAennchen ... The only group of muslims who do have both of them are those who truely follow the ones I named and they are the Shia Muslims, where in their spiritual part of their practice is called irfan(mysticism) rather than sufism (there are several differences in mystical practices between sufism and irfan), the sunnis have very lite irfan or sufism in their ideolgy and moreover the wahhabis (who are constantly portraited as so-called "Muslims" in western medias) lack any spirituality. :)
@heartscience In one point I agree:salafism and wahabism are absolutly free from spirituality! They were very successful in making me run away from islam at all too. In this world I don't want to waste more time on their agendas.
Khwaja was a muslim (Sufi)...but one shouldn't forget that Sufis were persecuted and even jailed and killed by some muslim rulers.Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti was a disciple of Mohammed Saheb, his Dargah in Ajmer, Rajasthan India is visited by Million of Hindus,Muslims and Chirtians in that very order.
Sufis tried to bring out the Love for mankind and all living beings apart from God.Sad @Robert you are trying to tell that the music that they produced was a patrimony of urdu/muslims
@heartscience I am a Christian as well, and I love sufism. Sufism, is about human LOVE to God/KHUDA, and goodness. A HUMAN condition, irrelavant to what religion you were born to!!!
@robertteuma ;we never dedicate songs to allah...because music is not liked in islam...nd in sufi songs one sided drum is played which is allowed in islam exept any other instrument...nd these songs are for allmighty allah not dedicated to allah
@robertteuma clearly you dont know what the hell your talking about. This is a strict muslim song not hindu song. And what is this about "hindu gods" and "muslims god". There is only one god. PERIOD.
@utubegay1 : Ha Ha... Its a Song Dedicated to a Great Sufi.. It is in Urdu... But I am sure you can take this song to any religion and sing it for the God you worship and the feeling will be same... The God is One I agree...we all see it in different forms... and all forms are valid... Because if God is One form and not other, then w are limiting God. God is ever where and in everything.
@ramils Its true, god is inside everyone. As mowlana rumi said, he looked at mosque, church , temples but he found god inside him. Thats the whole reason why true sufism is the real islam. The main goal of a sufi is to be one with the light. This will kill the ego and all material and carnal attachments. Read masnavi if you want to learn true sufism, its a fascinating book. Rumi warns that whoever reads it , the book will destroy their physical attachment of the world.
@utubegay1 : I agree..and the fact is one can take any of the mystical book of any religion - Sufi, Hindu Saints, Kabala, or Christian mystic and you will get the same message of True Spirituality. I love reading Rumi.. He was a Great Sufi. What you wrote is same in hindus also... Get dettachment, leave(kill) your ego and become one with the light/conciousness/God... I would look into the book you metioned. Do you recommend a good book about Rumi?
@utubegay1 : I am looking for his poems but with translitteration in English, word meanings, transaltion and explanaion... Sadly I dont understand persian in wich he wrote.. :-(
@ramils Me either, i have irani heritage in my background but i dont speak persian either. PM me and i will send you a link where you can find masnavi in english. Also i would recommend reading rumi: In the arms of the beloved. And also read "the mystics of islam" You wont be disappointed. Both books are fantastic and very uplifting. Also, research the name mansoor al-hallaj. I am a fan of bhagwat gita, mahabharat, masnavi, overall..all of rumis poems.
@ramils Where i was born, ive seen lots of violence between religions because of religious differences. I want to write my own book, showing how all these religions are same and esentially lead to one god no matter how you pray or when you pray or what name you use. All the religious fanatics who claim they are this they are that are nothing. Because, as rumi said when you become nothing, are you everything. Meaning, when your ego dies(u bcom 1 with the light) you are not yourself anymore.
@ramils Just PM me if you want to know more about sufism or just spirituality in islam or hinduism or anything like that. This stuff is my passion, id love to share my experiences and my philosophy regarding this matter. I also have a huge compilation of all the quotes by rumi that shook me and raised the hair on my neck..rumi believed in reincarnation, most muslims will not agree to that but his works prove that he did believe in it. And the way he said it made total sense too.
@robertteuma Hello Mr Asshole, If This Is Not For Muslims, Then Why Are They bringing Ghareeb Nawaz in the song?? this song is stricly Islamic You Cunt......!
uhm this song is dedicated to Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti who lived in the late 12th Century and early part of 13th Century and settled in Ajmer afters its conquest by Muhammed Shihabuddin Ghuri

Humanity is chaos!
So many religons, ways of life, faiths, etc etc etc, yes, so much indifference to nature and to our own selves!
The only prophet I know that is real is that one that beats in my chest, and the spirit within me is my intent, anything is chaos!

@artistdigital there are so many ways u can do shirk.what i just mentioned above is how darga is being a shirk n the proof frm holy quran.. :) so all the followers of darga are not considered as muslims and they r truly misguided. may there eyes get open wide enough to see wats wrong n wats not.. may there minds get much wiser to think wats happening on this world today n wat they might face afterwards becox of their wrong doings.fear god.fear for his punishment n anger which might b upon u n us
mrsdhontha 9 months ago
@mrsdhontha Where in the Qur'an bro? Point at the verse so that I may take you to the context and pre 18th century interpretations. Dargah isn't a shirk at all. If some individuals do Shirk thats another thing altogether!

Hello! Someone please explain to me what this song is about. I would also love to know why many non-sufis think that Sufism is not islam. I know it has something to do with praising and praying to old wise imams, but I would really and truly appreciate a bit more explanaition.
BigLittlePlanet 1 year ago
@BigLittlePlanet yes many muslim or must say lots of muslim thinks that sufism is not actual islam because in it the sufis are too much praised even much that they seem to be much more important than Allah and his beloved prophet the shabis and hazrat mohammad peace be upon him never preached that thing in Islam he only gives the concept of Allah and His worship and nothing else.
even Hazrat Mohammad peace be upon him didn't ask for his worship but yes durod to him so how could it be to love

SUFISM IS THE TRUE ISLAM.
WE ARE NOT BEHIND JANNATH.
HUMEH TOH SIRF YAAR SE HAIN MATLAB.
JAHAN MERA YAAR, WAHEN MERI JANNATH HAI.
YEH SAMAJNE KE LIYE EEMAAN BAHUT MAZBOOT HONA CHAHIYE.
LOVE TOWARDS ALLAH, RASOOLALLAH AND AHLE-BAITH
IS THOUGHT ONLY IN SUFISM.
IF YOU DON'T KNOW SUFISM,
YOU DON'T KNOW ISLAM.
MIND IT.

SUKHDEV001 1 year ago 10
@SUKHDEV001 don't believe in god but I agree with you, religion + politics divide people. Relationship with god should be personal.

@ robertteuma
You are wrong about the song being Hindu. A.R. Rahman converted to a Sufi Muslim and his song is a meditative worship of his belief, that what he said in a recent interview anyway; perhaps you know better?
As for Muslims dedicating "all the songs" they hear to their Allah is also wrong. I would guess any follower, of any religion, would do the same if the song moved then to some spiritual place in their heads...
By the way I'm not a Muslim, rather a Humanist.

Its not done there
mohamedansif 1 year ago
@mohamedansif mate Allah HAS 99 names not HAD lol. mate Allah is greateer than all of his rasools & our rasool [pbhu] said v are not to place him above or lower than any other prophet. :) salam
younib100 1 year ago
@mohamedansif when will you move away from the physical islam? Try to understand islam spiritually and not just physically. Learn more about sufism and you will understand the hidden meaning behind islam. There is more to islam that just following 5 pillars and praying. without love you have not understood islam. Learn more about sufism and you will see why sufis are what all muslims should be. Their love for allah surpasses all boundries

calsabiille 1 year ago
Actually robertteuma, this song is not from the Hindu religion, it is a practice amongst some Sufi groups--Sufism is like a branch off of Islam--it still fall under the category of Muslims academically and according to Islamic scholars unless they do not believe in the 6 pillars of faith or the five pillars of Islam generally. The song is dedicated to a person who lived before--a scholar perhaps but not a Hindu God

You know what surprises me about you muslims, all the songs that you hear beautiful, you dedicate them to Allah, this song is Hindu song and dedicated to the Hindu Gods, not Muslim God. I am Christian, i am speaking neutrally

not is diffrence between muslim hindu or christian God ok! dont think nagitive .

@robertteuma This song is not dedicated to Hindu Gods. It would help if you were able to understand the language rather than make an assumption. This song is for a Sufi saint.
SH7861WeezyBabyy 1 year ago
@robertteuma : Supergrl10 is right this song is dedicated to Khwaja (a (Muslim) Sufi Saint) from the Chishti order of the Sufis. So check the Urdu before guessing or biasing the content of this video. Oh and one last add, your religion is not relevent to this content of this video, especially that you're a christian and not a muslim and especially not a Sufi.

aloysiamanuel 1 year ago 14
@aloysiamanuel You are repeating what I say however... It is true that Allah (God in Arabic called by Christian Arabs and Muslims) or Jehova (God in Hebrew) or God are all the same God however in Islam it is strictly forbidden to compare his Prophets to him (i.e. as the Christians do with Jesus (whom acc. to Islam was a Prophet(peace be upon him))) or the holy angels. In Islam comparting any of the other creations to Him is regarded as an insult....
heartscience 1 year ago
@heartscience shh you know nothing
msayofemi1 11 months ago
@aloysiamanuel That is why I gave that response to Robert. SUfism is the philosophical path of religions and its most complete form is found in Islam (followed by Shia Muslims) though Imam Ali(A) who is named in the song. He was the King of mysticism. There is a famous Christian scholar, George Jordaq, who has written the book "The voice of justice" concerning the personality of Imam Ali.
heartscience 1 year ago
@heartscience for me personally sufism is the religion of the heart. It is way more than a philosophy.
MyAennchen 9 months ago
@MyAennchen Yes but still it is a philosophy but it is not a religion, which many are confusing. It is a tariqa (meaning path, line, way) and therefore requires a fundamental compenent which is laws of God for it to ejecte the person to the Skies. Without these fundamental rules, which in Islam are derived from the teachings of God through the Holy Quran and the last Prophet(A) and his closest and most loyal and faithful ones Imam Ali(A) his daughter and the rest of the 11 Imam(A).
heartscience 9 months ago
@MyAennchen ...To love a mother of father doesn't help much if you don't prove that; you have to manifest it by practicing the laws of the parents, so that manner your parents will accept you as a faithful child. The same does for God's laws (Quran and ahadith), in order to move towards God's Eternal Light you have to submit yourself to the path of those who did the same to the extent of perfection and those are the ones I named, and before them all other Prophets(peace be upon them all).
heartscience 9 months ago
@MyAennchen ... Singing and dancing won't help besides give you a non-lasting melodic effect in you biological system which melts down after a few hours or days. Therefore sufism alone is incomplete, it requires the "pilars of religion".
heartscience 9 months ago
@MyAennchen ... :)
heartscience 9 months ago
@heartscience In one point I agree:salafism and wahabism are absolutly free from spirituality! They were very successful in making me run away from islam at all too. In this world I don't want to waste more time on their agendas.
MyAennchen 9 months ago
@heartscience
Sufis tried to bring out the Love for mankind and all living beings apart from God.Sad @Robert you are trying to tell that the music that they produced was a patrimony of urdu/muslims
prakhardixit7 1 year ago
@heartscience I am a Christian as well, and I love sufism. Sufism, is about human LOVE to God/KHUDA, and goodness. A HUMAN condition, irrelavant to what religion you were born to!!!

@robertteuma ;we never dedicate songs to allah...because music is not liked in islam...nd in sufi songs one sided drum is played which is allowed in islam exept any other instrument...nd these songs are for allmighty allah not dedicated to allah
cutemebaloch 1 year ago
@robertteuma clearly you dont know what the hell your talking about. This is a strict muslim song not hindu song. And what is this about "hindu gods" and "muslims god". There is only one god. PERIOD.
utubegay1 1 year ago
@utubegay1 : Ha Ha... Its a Song Dedicated to a Great Sufi.. It is in Urdu... But I am sure you can take this song to any religion and sing it for the God you worship and the feeling will be same... The God is One I agree...we all see it in different forms... and all forms are valid... Because if God is One form and not other, then w are limiting God. God is ever where and in everything.
ramils 1 year ago
@ramils Its true, god is inside everyone. As mowlana rumi said, he looked at mosque, church , temples but he found god inside him. Thats the whole reason why true sufism is the real islam. The main goal of a sufi is to be one with the light. This will kill the ego and all material and carnal attachments. Read masnavi if you want to learn true sufism, its a fascinating book. Rumi warns that whoever reads it , the book will destroy their physical attachment of the world.
utubegay1 1 year ago
@utubegay1 : I agree..and the fact is one can take any of the mystical book of any religion - Sufi, Hindu Saints, Kabala, or Christian mystic and you will get the same message of True Spirituality. I love reading Rumi.. He was a Great Sufi. What you wrote is same in hindus also... Get dettachment, leave(kill) your ego and become one with the light/conciousness/God... I would look into the book you metioned. Do you recommend a good book about Rumi?
ramils 1 year ago
@utubegay1 : I am looking for his poems but with translitteration in English, word meanings, transaltion and explanaion... Sadly I dont understand persian in wich he wrote.. :-(
ramils 1 year ago
@ramils Me either, i have irani heritage in my background but i dont speak persian either. PM me and i will send you a link where you can find masnavi in english. Also i would recommend reading rumi: In the arms of the beloved. And also read "the mystics of islam" You wont be disappointed. Both books are fantastic and very uplifting. Also, research the name mansoor al-hallaj. I am a fan of bhagwat gita, mahabharat, masnavi, overall..all of rumis poems.
utubegay1 1 year ago
@ramils Where i was born, ive seen lots of violence between religions because of religious differences. I want to write my own book, showing how all these religions are same and esentially lead to one god no matter how you pray or when you pray or what name you use. All the religious fanatics who claim they are this they are that are nothing. Because, as rumi said when you become nothing, are you everything. Meaning, when your ego dies(u bcom 1 with the light) you are not yourself anymore.
utubegay1 1 year ago
@ramils Just PM me if you want to know more about sufism or just spirituality in islam or hinduism or anything like that. This stuff is my passion, id love to share my experiences and my philosophy regarding this matter. I also have a huge compilation of all the quotes by rumi that shook me and raised the hair on my neck..rumi believed in reincarnation, most muslims will not agree to that but his works prove that he did believe in it. And the way he said it made total sense too.
