I'm not an animal rights activist. I don't have a problem with hunting in general. But I kind of wonder if the beaver is a special case. I think if we let beavers have their way, and encouraged and helped them, they would create an optimum water system. Their dams would keep the water at high elevations for longer periods of time. Look in the latest Scientific American magazine about the mega drought in the future in the western U.S. its coming. I think the beaver can help.
