@killerfishthensum1 When the count is positive, it means there are more tens and aces left in the deck, which is good for you, so make bigger bets. When the count is negative, there are more small cards left in the deck, which is better for the dealer, so bet less or sit out if it gets really bad (just don't be too obvious about it if you're at a casino!).

if you really want to win at the tables you need to be extremely fast at keeping the count and make it seem like you are not doing it.....in other words you really have to get so good at it to the point where you do it like it's second nature...like smoking a cigarette or something....really really really really extremely incredibly absolutely quick with the count it has to be perfect you have to be really really good at it....

ok either the video is glitched, or something is wrong with the counting. all i kno is that 10 values are -1, Aces are -1, 2 - 6 are +1, and 7-9 are 0. He threw down an ace and it added 1. so either its glitched, or something is wrong.

i thought all tens were minus 1, but in the beginning, he counts the 10 of clubs as zero

He counts the first 10 as -1.

2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 are all +1

7, 8, and 9 are all 0

10, J, Q, K and A are all -1

1st card was 6, so the count became +1.

2nd card was 10, so the count became 0 again (1-1=0)

3rd card was J, so the count became -1 (0-1=-1)

It can take a bit of getting used to seeing only high and low cards, and not confusing the +1, 0 and -1 steps from the count itself, especially when the count is between 2 and -2.

if the count is high and you have a low hand (preferably 10 or under) you hit. a high count also means your 2 cards should be high to start with

The problem people seem to have is in math a - and a - make a +, and a + and a + make a +.

however dont get confused with this, its as simple as -1 -1 -1 = -3 then if 3+ cards came out the count would be at 0.

When you get better at counting you will be able to count multiple cards at once, so instead of calculating -1 -1 +1 +1 you will instantly see that they all cancel each other out and make 0. multiple card counting will become easier as you progress with single card counting.

counting cards helps u know when to bet big or not. When the number is higher, there are less low cards in the deck, increasing youre odds of getting blackjack while also increasing the houses odds of busting.

i'd also like to point out to all of u who replied tocaseykc18 that counting IS illegal if u use devices, however, if u use youre head then it's perfefctly legal although u can expect to be kicked out of the casino should u be caught.
