  • Great job and very entertaining! Are you a pro or a hobbyist?

  • At the time I was a hobbyist wanting to be a pro and at this time I can't even call myself a hobbyist as I've became a Character animator.

Perhaps I'll grab my guitar again when my newborn kid will be old enough for me to teach her guitar.

It's not a sad story. I'm happy with where I'm at.

  • super high man super duper

  • Killed it. Dope video.

  • 5 stars for you from Nikos Greek Bouzouki player

  • nice dude ive been doing the same thing with my 1952 reissue telecaster. the kaossilator has added so much to my jamming. ha u look mad high too.

  • Does the Kaossilator have a speaker ? Or is ist audio output ?

  • Only Audio output.

  • nice. I wish I could play like that.

  • here again ...love this

  • This is amazing, great work man.

  • u need some more fuckin videos!!! i could listen to u forever

  • the Kaossilator is a piece of shit, having said that, the guitar is work of art, sounds real nice, this kat plays with good control, has a nice natural feel. been watching clips for about an hour and change, probaly 200 of em this guy sounds like a guitar player, those other 200 sounded like people who "know how to play guitar", and as for the equipment chit chat bullshit its like dudes on a basketball court in new Jordans, in awhole $2-$300.00 outfit and they cant dribble never mind dunk.

  • awesome...

  • I like what you have done here

  • It's interesting hearing the bass line come together over a number of bars.

  • really nice video, just a shame the kassilator takes a while to set and that you cannot save to patch on it! Looks like a fun song to play will try that one myself :)

  • GREAT VIDEO!!!! This is a PERFECT example of the difference between a $500 guitar and a $2000 guitar! Great playing, nice improv, never got boring. Awesome skills building that riff on the Kaossilator. What amp/pedals did you use or was it software? If so, what software? Again, great video, definitely fav'in this one!

  • Thanks for the comment.

The amp is a Roland VGA-7, which is completely digital, so no external pedals needed.

  • @chapped78 How the hell could u hear the difference between a 500$ & a 2000$ guitar on a youtubemovie with crappy sound?

  • @chapped78 Great vid though!!!

  • what scale did you use? ive got one myself and would love to do this one live :3

  • It's been a while since I've played it and I don't really remember.

Unfortunately I don't have the Kaossilator here with me in this apartment so I can't check.

Experiment man and I'm sure you'll find it.

    Good luck

  • you are incredibly good what could Isay I never thaught this was possible with a kaos

    congratulation

  • lol.

fucking awesome, and you actually look like you enjoyed making this - so often on youtube people make cool sounds while looking completely dead!

    Nice job :)

  • Great! Keep working on it!

  • Brilliant, you're clearly a cool guy too. Great faces BTW :P

I just ordered my Kaossilator earlier today, and it should arrive in a couple of days. Can't wait! :D

  • lol, quality.

  • i think you got too much reverb on the quitar.... But nice vid keep it going!

  • Fuck dude, its like ur using the pick of destiny....only for that...thing.....idk wat that is,......

  • Wicked!!!! 5 stars.

  • 5:05 - 5:36 ... fkn amazing man, who's YOUR crack dealker ::twitch:: haha

  • wow that was amazing

  • amazing!

  • Thank

  • Dude, you just keep impressing me!

Love this song! And again, nice use of the Kaossilator! Another one to the Favs!

    One word, mate... AMAZING!

  • I more than love this. Honestly - I listened to it 5 times in a row. Louder each time, at that.

BTW: there are a number of videos that describe how to set up the K. for 16 bars instead of just 8 (which is what I believe I saw the display counting - I don't have mine yet so I really don't know). Chances are that there are a lot of other "tweaks" in there, simply because engineers hate getting bored.

No doubt it will get better, albeit more expensive.

  • lol!!

  • what kind of guitar is that? i love natural wood finish guitars.

  • It's a Washburn N4, Nuno Bettencourt signature model.

  • Dude, you rock!

  • You are fucking AMAZING.

  • i just jizzed ma pants.

  • amazing

  • damn bro, yet again.. amazing. You're videos have persuaded me to buy myself kaossilator

  • I think you will enjoy it

  • How do you save the loops you got? i've read it doesn't have any output for saving. that's the only thing that sounds negative about it. unless you got a clever way?

  • correct, don't believe you can save the patches/sounds. Only thing you can do is to record them direct to your computer or other device. I would hope/think they will come out with a memory component. Will cost more for sure...

  • You can't save anything on it. Shut it down and all is lost. Some people use it to creat a single chanel at a time and record it on their computer with Qbase and then creat the music with the computer.

It is a drawback but I can live with that as I bought it more as a fun gadget than as a serious tool, although I thing it can be a serious tool if you put some effort into it.

You can't really appriciate the quality of the sound here on YouTube but it is excellent, and also stereophonic.

  • "It wasn't easy making 7 minutes of the same chord not boring or anoying, but I think I did a good job."

    YES I remember the song.....

YES you did damn good... ha!

    F-I-V-E S-T-A-R-S *****

  • brilliant! would you let know, what scale was your korg set to, as well as root note... i am not so good with music, but still i would like to be able to play something like this on my kaossilator... many thatnks.

  • Awesome!

  • That was freakin' great!

  • heheh. Great as always! You truly are the next Paul gilbert. You got the teqnuique down, showmanship, and best of all, not afraid to dabble in styles outside rock/blues! just like paul!

  • Yeah, that tap and bend lick, he always does this.

You should listen to his Freak Guitar albums if you want to hear some more of his playing.

  • I just finished listening to the Freak Guitar album and enjoyed it very much.

Do you know any other players like Mattias Eklundh and Ron Thal that play that type of crazy music?

  • Been listening to mattias eklundh lately now, have'nt you?

  • Actually no..

Never really heard his music. Only heard him a bit performing with Bumblefoot as I'm a huge Ron Thal fan.

Where's the similarity? I assume the over tones. Right?

  • I now listened a bit to him.

The simmilarity with the tapping licks... completely accidental.

    Good ears man :)

  • awesome as always :).

    keep it up.

too much reverb this time btw :P

  • amazing! :)

  • cool!

  • Cool, but it would have been even better with a bit less reverb/delay!

That little Kaossilator seems to be a fun thing!

    :D

  • You are correct.

    Next time.

  • Good skills man :-) First cover I've heard using the kaossilator as backing track and it sounded great. And your guitar playing...well...I can only dream of being so damn good.

  • God damn you are the most awesome guy I've ever seen.

  • Yes, an original Floyd rose.

  • Wow man, that was incredible. Glad to see you are making vids again. You not only have the techincal skills, but you play with lots of feel too. And that trick where you were tapping the pick over the pickups - awesome.
