This film is fucking badass. It is the only movie where warlords actually sit down and beg the banker masters for money and troops. The warlords compete against one another to win the bankers praise. The bankers even order the warlords to sack their own cities just to take more power and profit from their own people. Great movie but too bad most can't see what I just said.
I hope they will release The Sorcerer and the White Snake in the US, too. The movie with both Jet Li and Raymond Lam and a bunch of other chinese actors.
I think the point is , that they don't escape into some sort of Utopia . but , in these worlds inside their minds , they can actually fight for their freedom . unlike the grey reality where they are powerless . it's kinda like...a disabled kid , who in his imagination , is a super hero .
