Bass drum holes are great on some occasions on others not. There is no wrong or right here!.

  • Ah, your snare drum sounds horrible. Just thought I'd let you know.

  • Rogers are the best!

  • I like the way you play man! (don't pay any ayention to the short comments, they have little dicks and just wish they could play that good) I know Remo heads are probobly period correct, but have you ever tried Aquarian head on the bass? I love mine!

  • I am a certified idiot because I sold my 6 piece black Big R set back in 1985. I couldn't find a Rogers kit in good condition so I settled for a new Tama kit last year. The new Rogers drums are complete crap. Thank God I have my Dynasonic!

  • they don't make em like they used to, i love my super ten

  • I say thanks to Dave Clark Five because apparently ROGERS developed the center tom mount for Dave Clark thus the name Londoner mount!!

  • I have a 1970 White Marine Pearl Londoner tom mount (Thanks Dave Clark Five) Holiday kit with matching powertone and 14x14 floor tom - also I have a 1968 Red Sparkle Holiday also with Londoner mount with matching Luxor snare - both killer sets all original - I've played them both out - I don't get comments on my drumming but everyone loves the drums sets!!! LOL

  • rogers are the shit, but mine are new and have a way diferent sound.

  • Damn, it has a really big sound to it :]

  • cool set ! i had the late 60"s blue sparkle set.1 of the best sounding sets i ever owned.nice pocket sound you got.keep rocking!

  • That sounds AWESOME! :O

  • yay real rogers kit... they dont make drums with that sound anymore

  • oldies but goldies :)

  • hahaha moby dick :p

  • i've got nearly the same kit. '77 white 22" bd 14" 15" ride toms 16" floor. i usually don't use the 15 though. lot's of 2002's this guys kit looks like the ramones rock and roll high school! i wouldn't trade mine for a new d.w.!

  • Wait, that's an American Rogers Kit. There was an American and British version.

  • Wow nice set, where did you get it from?

  • Thanks! I bought that set (with an additional 13" tom) back in 1988 from a guy over here in England.

  • you must have been a big zeppelin fan nice drums

  • My friend has this MASSIVE black custom Rogers kit from the late 60's. The toms are - no kidding - 14x14, 16x14, 16x15, and 16x16, and two 18x18 floor toms. The kicks are 24x18. Insane.

  • holy shit

  • Moby Dick

    haha

  • Thanks kurbatipas. That's a 24x14 bass drum with a coated Remo PS3 head. The toms have coated Remo Ambassadors top and bottom. The snare has an Aquarian Hi-Energy batter on it - I usually use Emperors! I filmed this with my camera just to see how it would pick up the sound of the kit. I guess the result wasn't too bad after all!!

  • Man, this is EXACTLY my dream set.

What drumheads are you using? Is that a 24 or 26'' bass?

    Snare sounds killer, man :)

  • You've got enough sonny !

  • great job sounds like "bonzo" wish i still had my vintage slingerlands!

  • Cheers!

I wish I had your vintage Slingers too! ;)
