  • Why are the only accepted serice animals dogs? Other animals are used but are not accepted. I have a bearded dragon to prevent panic attacks but people give me trouble because she's a lizard. Lizards are not the proper service animal for everyone but neither are dogs.

  • Do you know if there are sevice animals that can detect a stroke? and If so how do you go about getting one certafied? My moms two cats started screaming thier heads off right before my mom had her stroke, so I want to turn them into service animals if I can. Please any one who would know let me know as soon as possible.

  • @DreamsofCentaurs I don´t want to sound insensitive...but can it be that the cats where soooooooo annoying that they caused the stroke? Screaming cats sucks.

  • When I'm trainign two dogs, I train with two separate clickers from different brands. Each dog has its own clicker, so it doesn't respond to the other dog's clicker.

  • National Geographic's video "Is your dog a genius" shows disabled people who put their lives on the hands of their dogs. These animals aren't trained by dominating them, or jerking them around until they shut down but by reinforcing the desired behavior.

  • My dog is a smart dog!

  • Have you ever thought or considered that Brain Surgery might cure or reduce your seizures? Did you ever asked your neurologist about Brain Surgery to cure your epilepsy? Check it out with your neurologist or any other sources of Brain surgery in curing Epilepsy and see if it helps. Frustrated of 10 years old seizures, medications and side effects, I'm demanding for Brain surgery, knowning that I've 70% chance to stop my seizures. Gerrie

I now live in San Diego and plan to re-form Noble Paws in the next few years, with a slightly different concept. I am focused more now on the psychological benefits of dogs. I remain committed to clicker training and empowering people with disabilities to participate in training our own dogs!

  • Do you have any tips for me, i am trying to train a service dog on my own. i have major depression, anxiety And Panic disorder.

  • As one of the "stars" of this video, I must say that although it wasn't my finest performance, I am so glad it was made. My beloved Merlin passed away from cancer in January 2004. He was almost 13 years old. Artie is now 6 and a devoted companion. He accompanied me on my internship last year facilitating support groups for cancer patients. He brought them a lot of joy and comfort.

  • I'm really pleased to see this, as I know the people and animals in the video! I think they do a great job here of explaining the value of service dogs of many types, as well as the value of being involved in your animal's training, and using methods which build on mutual trust rather than dominance.

  • Thank you! I too live with an "unofficial" service dog. I have schizophrenia and psychotic depression. My dog regulates when I eat, sleep, leave the house... I owe my life to him. Thank you so much for this video!

  • Thank you so much for this video! Shows a humanitarian, enlightened way of training service dogs (clicker training), and how the disabled can chose their specific dogs, rather than be assigned a dog.

  • We need animals like this in our socitey because people could do things without them.
