  • WHAT PAPER DID U USE?

  • thats HUGE!!! :O

  • Wie groß ist das Papier, und wie mache ich es? Bitte sagen Sie mir, weil ich wirklich will diesen Drachen machen

  • @TheHalomaster360 Dein Papier muss 5 mal so lang wie breit sein, also zum Beispiel 10 cm breit und 50 cm lang (:

  • gee...you could've cut out ALOT of this part out. ( the creasing and all that). But great vid!!

  • i used 6in by 30 in and i was only able to do 4 squares and 1 half square?

  • @Tazthespaz9999 Well, that doesn't work. Either you didn't cut the paper correctly, or you didn't fold the squares correctly. :)

  • how long is the paper on this video?

  • @mikuliny Please check the video description for details. :)

  • can you use printer paper?

  • yay! chrismas!

  • wait how long im 10 so 5 feet of 5 inches????

  • @MissFluffFluff When I say 1 by 5, I mean that the paper should be 5 times as long as it's wide. You can decide yourself how long and wide the paper should be. For example, in the video the paper I used was about 5 inches wide and 25 inches long.

  • @AdamsSara where do you get that paper

    please respond

  • I don't have that long paper :(

  • @Razor2553 Actually, I use wrapping paper in that video. Some wrapping paper makes excellent folding paper (not necessarily the paper I use in the video, though).

  • Ahahaha, are you folding with christmas wrapping paper? XD That's brilliant!

  • @artificialartificial Yes, I actually fold a lot with wrapping paper. Nowadays it usually doesn't have patterns, though. :)

  • @AdamsSara Me to...lol

  • please help me with this one!

we i cut out an paper thats 13cm wide and 65cm long i just get four squares instead of five wen im done with the steps you start folding 1:15

  • @MrMultidream Are you sure you cut the paper correctly? And creased the squares precisely. By doing simple maths, it does work out to get exactly 5 squares: 13x5=65

I'm not sure where you went wrong, but the paper size should work well for this model.

  • WOW u use knives and good work btw

  • Awwwww,I want to fold it,too. But too anxious that it's too hard for me.

  • you can also accordian fold into those pieces

  • also - SO MUCH CREASING... o.O

  • @afroninjaman7

i dont think she speaks posh its just how her voice sounds -.-

  • noraa likes sarah

  • Sara, I love the way you get people's permission to put their Origami inventions on youtube. also you must be very talented to do all of these origami folds. :)

  • where do you get that paper i only have 6cm by 6cm paper

  • its gift rapping paper

  • it was a4 paper

  • but ios colour a4

  • Someone should create a video on how to fold Joseph Wu's Great White Shark.

  • i might make a second one if i have some time....but that sadly isnt soon

  • Lots of precreasing involved in the model, but, it helps a LOT with creating the actual piece. Very nice X3

  • To get that sized paper you use wrapping paper i believe

  • hi i really like your origami videos cause they help me a lot and i was wondering if you could make a video of how to make a Noboru Miyajima's Bat cause i cant get past step 38 and their are 100 steps so ya please make a vid of how to make it PLEASE and THANK-YOU

  • really good tutorial!

  • ermm....how do u get that long paper ??

  • Use wrapping paper! X3 Or, do what I do, get 5 squares and tape them together XP

  • erm... you rock

    that is all...

  • muchisimas gracias por compartir tus conocimientos.

Sos muy clara...y apesar de no conocer el idioma te entiendo todo....

  • Darias athe paper(role) for which my alone papermeasures 60 cm answer me please

  • Sorry, I don't understand the question.

  • i have a question.....

what exactly is the size of the paper?

  • See the video description:

Paper size used in the video:

    initially: 13cm by 65cm

    finished model: 18cm by 18cm

  • Why do you speak so posh.

  • I never realized I did...

  • I think it's very nice to listen to actually!

  • Would wrapping paper be too thin for this model?

  • That depeds on the wrapping paper and how large the model should be. With most wrapping paper the tail would probably not stay upright. If you fold a larger model, this is almost certainly true.

  • wah magic paper =P lines come from nowhere

    ahahahahahahah

  • It Was Creepy When The Lines Poped Up...

  • What type of paper do you prefer?

  • For this model slightly heavier and stiff paper will work well.

You can go for paper-backed foil, or ~100gsm stiff paper. Office paper works relatively well, too, as to heaviness and stiffness of paper. I think that's what I used for my first fold, actually.

  • i see use exactly fi5ve square mesures =D ^_^ =3 ;:3

  • Thank you so much for this!

  • big knife...

  • i bet this would take at less 2 hrs for the whole dragon thingi

  • Hm, I'd say it takes me about 15 minutes to fold. It takes much longer if you explain what needs to be done, though. Same for the first time you fold it, of course.

  • so, if i used a piece of computer paper, what would the width be...........

  • how big does the paper have to be??

  • It says in the discription but I don't think it really matters as long as it's at least 5 by 1.

  • that was a big knife you used to cut the edge off :O

  • are you using wrapping paper?

  • By the way the paper sounds as she folds, Christmas tree graphics and the fact I have used wrapping paper before tells me that she is indeed using wrapping paper. It is thinner than regular paper so for practice or really big projects I like using it a lot. You can get some really nice looking paper out there too. I like hitting stores after Christmas to look for cheep wrapping paper anyways. Dollar store works too but the paper is not as long usually.

  • I use wrapping paper a lot, although the quality of the one I used in this video was really bad. But it was the only big paper I had lying around, and I really felt like doing a video. I was visiting someone, so I didn't have my usual paper with me. Still works, although the model will not stand up in the end. That requires stiffer / thicker paper.

  • I love how she says the phrase: "and crease.":)

  • Thanks for this video..it was really helpfull!

Without it I think I would never have done this dragon eastern model^^

  • i have request please to one on neither flshaer big bang or flasher hat

  • mmmmmmmmmm by anychange is this rated complex good vid helped thansk

  • how do u do the horns?

  • nevermind i got

  • hi Sara, i'm from peru :) i have a question: which are the measures of the paper

  • The paper has to be 1:5. In the video I use fairly large paper (13cm by 65cm). I've folded this model from paper as small as 33mm by 1.98cm (that's a longer tail, because it's 1:6), and that wasn't too hard to do, either. I would advise you not to use all too small paper for your first try, though. The first time I folded this dragon, I used paper that was 4cm by 20cm. Hope this helps.

  • Here's a picture of the 33mm by 1.98cm dragon: happyfolding(dot)com/gallery-wu-eastern_dragon
