my sister went tonight thanks to her bf lol but the whole group of them saw it. You can still see the light now days but it's really a hit or miss thing.
@DoctorHowitzer That's a good question...quite a few hours I know that (I've heard there are many hobos near the train tracks now so if you go there be careful)
Thankyou for posting..getting more and more idea's from people like you who take the effort to edit and film things...got new edit sofware and doing my best to learn it..so thankyou for posting and have fun..mehidabelx
They took still shots but actually came back the next night and shot video of the light (and got good results). The light is definitely there... however, you have to be ready to make a good trek down the tracks (to the right). Have a flash light and be careful not trip up along the track. It will take you about 1.25 hrs ONE WAY...so be prepared, bring bug repellent and plenty of beer (or whatever it is you drink).
I had informed them that they were in the wrong spot and and confidently stated, "You have to cross seven trestles before you will see the light". I think that's right... I haven't been there since. Anyway, we made the trek...took about an hour maybe....sure enough, it was there, hovering (dancing) about 4' or 5' above the track. It disappeared as we approached and then it would be behind us, but much further back than the distance we had walked forward. The guys with the camera were speechless
Very true story indeed. I was a college student at Henderson St. University in the fall of 1994. A couple of friends and I had driven to Gurdon (where my mother was raised) to see the light for the first time. As we approached the tracks, we saw two guys with a very long range telephoto lens/camera and a six pack of beer. They were actually on the opposite side of the road. They had informed us that they were from Los Angeles and that Unsolved Mysteries had sent them there.
Believe it or not, Will McClain is my great great uncle :) I've always been curious about the light & have always wanted to see it for myself :)

Awesome information and research! Thank You! We have visited the tracks four times and have seen the light three out of those times!
