Paul's voice sounds really, really powerful here. No doubt, he is a one of a kind rock singer. Singers just don't sound like this anymore. I think his singing on Layin' Down The Law (1991) is just smoking hot!
Thankyou so much for uploading this, What a great song! LOL at Jimmy the way he's dancing and trying to get P Rodgers attention and he just ignored him but he was really getting into it which i love and that's what it's all about!
@RockNRollGiiirl Paul never ignored Jimmy, he's about the AUDIENCE though! Are they enjoying it, and digging it. Oh, and even if Warners got hold of Paul Rodger's Cut Loose, Gotta work that LP up on the site, it's too good to keep getting ignored, the fact Paul played everything on it is news!
I think Page is so fucking entertaining, it's unbelievable. Everyone can speculate as to what is going on, but we don't have a clue. It's easy to sit on the side lines and try to figure out what is going on, but we really don't. I see at least 2 great musicians having a great time. If you see something else, that's life. Rock on Jimmy and Paul.
Rodgers is playing the Les Paul that Clapton gave to Paul Kossoff in trade. I assume Rodgers got it after Koss died. Was auctioned for the Kossoff Charity several years back...
@impala327 On the expanded audio track of this song also posted on youtube, Rodgers states that he is borrowing Andy Fairweather's guitar a few seconds before this video started.
@GeneVRocks I'm not listening to Paul Rodgers voice...he's got a great voice, but it's not his vocal talent that interests me....oh lordy! Do the pants fit the song...or "the song fits the pants?" Lord luv the 70's...whew!
Right near the beginning of this video I thought "whoever that guitarist is, HE'S sure a Paul Rodgers fan." Then I realize it's Jimmy Page - wow. He was having a blast. Cool video, thanks for posting it.
lesxpaul. I agree. Page looks like he's having fun. Quite different than the Zep days. He looks much more loose. Not to say that during Zep they weren't having fun, but here he is very entertaining. I like it.
This was a great show! I caught the show in Dallas. My first time to see page, clapton, and beck. I'm gld they changed the line up from the first show in Europe. The addition of Paul Rogers and Joe Cocker were an added bonus.
page played brilliant here! I think he was really enjoying himself for first time since led zep stopped! great playing and even his dancing was gerat. Well done page!
Don't knock Page!! He was in a bad way at the time with his heroin addiction.. He'd lost his band which was his life..I know he wasn't playing great on these show but you have to admire him for going out there dispite his condition and enjoying it!
@LIGHTMAN004 Page was doing 'H' during Zeppelin.. and it seemed not to show him down.. as was Bonzo........ but, pit-falls in life will do a number on an individual no matter what they're taking or not taking. Sometimes you gottat do what you gotta do. "You can't always get what you want (you get what you need)".........
@LIGHTMAN004 I agree with you. It seemed that the death of Bonham and Zeppelin took a huge toll on him. He plays wildly and frenetically, but without the clarity he had. I feel real bad for him seeing him perform like this
Not knockin Jimmy, I'm a lifelong fan, but he ain't up to scratch is he? That guitar solo was crap, his dancing was ridiculous and his outfit just about topped it off. What a mess he was at that time. I really feel sorry for him watching that.
Mr Rodgers on the other hand, is on top form! Great voice as usual, surprisingly good guitar solo...and better than Page's dare I say.
i think Page is awesome in this vid, he's used to those types of antics form beign with Zeppelina nd it worked. Yeah maybe it's a lil overdone, but it adds energyt o the stage and if nothign else makes it fun to watch:-)
that's a fact, my friend. just witness paul and band for free in mt. clemens, mi on the river then had a meet and greet at midnight full moon, he sang a song with the drummer of bob seger's band 1973, he's in a wheelchair now but paul made his day it rocked.
It is awesome despite Jimmy's antics...funny how he keeps trying to get Paul to look at him while acting like a drunken school kid but Paul maintains his sense of decorum. Nevertheless, I still love Page as well and the whole musicianship on stage is great!
Does anyone know what Rodgers says at 1:57?

@MetallicBill B/c it's a WMG track is probably the reason why it's not at YT. Don't you just love WMG? Man I swear...!
