When I was in Paris, there were homeless people everywhere and one came up to our tour group and started asking for money. As she was talking to us, she reached over slowly like her hand in was in spy mode and tried to steal my friend's food OUT OF HIS HAND. She just tried to take it out of his hand without us noticing! Worst theft attempt ever.
dude, i had to go and give food to homeless people one night with school, and the bastards refused to eat half of the stuff we had, they were all like "we want cakes!" and we're like "sorry, we've only got pies and stuff like that" and they were like "oh, go away then" and then while we were walking through one of the buildings, and we heard a heap of yelling from below us, the regular volunteers we were with made us run out of the place...oh and the entire housing commune thing smelt like pot..

Dude, Homeless people in Tally are the craziest! Just moved up here like 5 months ago. I have had more random creepy encounters with hobos than I ever cared to have in my entire life. They're aggressive little bastards.
The school I went to for my social work degree was in a pretty ghetto town. There was this guy who kept asking me for money. It's generally not a good idea to give them any. But, this one time this same guy asked me for $9 so he could get something to eat. All I had was about $1.65 in change and about $1.50 of it was in pennies. So, I hauled every last cent of it out and gave it to him. He did not like it, but he took it all. He never asked me for money again.
i have a crazy homeless story i posted it on my channel a while ago was at a tim horton's and almost threw a chair at me and my roommate feel free to check it out. BTW good story i was entertained... well good to hear you're ok too and it sucks it happened... but good story
I feel for homeless people - there are good people who lose their jobs due to circumstance, or their majors can't get them anywhere. By the same token though, there are crazy people out there, so I keep a knife/pepper spray handy if I go downtown.
3 weeks ago 3 friends of mine and me (so 4 gay guys) were standing on a square in Budapest. And an old homeless guy walked up to us and asked us if we can give him some money. We gave him 50 cents and he said: Thank you, I wish that you will get the best girls tonight. :D And of course we began to laugh. :D
My friends and I were at this bar and there was a homeless guy in the parklot and when we came out we didn't see him but we all got in the car had the windows down and getting ready to leave when the homeless guy came up to our window asking for money we said we we're out bc we had bought drinks all night then he said are you scared of me and took CHILD PROOF SCISSORS and reached in the car and said he was going to kill us!!! so we took off and almost ran over the guy and called the cops!
I generally try to minimize my contact with homeless people. I politely say, "I am sorry. I am not prepared to help you today." I repeat that, if they interact more with me. While many homeless people are quite harmless, some homeless people have a criminal record and are not good people. I have photos on my cell phone of a homeless person who tried to steal money from the offering plate at church. Glad you are safe Will. :-) HUGS.
...Once inside we looked around and we couldn't see her. So we got in line to buy tickets. While I am buying my ticket this lady appears and like starts talking to me, "Wow that was scary wasn't it. Good thing we ran. Some people are really creepy." I look at her like WTF O_O I said "I don't know you, please leave me alone." and she goes over to my friends and starts talking to them. So I tell the ticket lady about her and she got kicked out :P

I parked the car and we all started talking to our destination (Science World). This lady comes up and asks for money. We say that we don't have anything and keep walking. We were about 200ft away from her and she starts running towards us. So we just start walking faster... She started to shout and wave her hands at us... My friends and I were totally creeped out so we ran into Science World...

when i was on a school trip for a few days i was walking down the street with a few of my friends, and there was this homeless guy running down the street behind us yelling "ya you better run you fuckin asshole im gonna come over there an kill your ass"

I work in downtown toronto, so I deal with drunk/junkie homeless people on a daily basis. One day last summer, I was outside, having a cigarette, and next thing I know, I'm getting a hug from a large smelly man.
the ones where i live are nice enough, i have been mugged in Vienna though (he wasnt homeless) and thankfully i only take exact change, so i only had 5 euros in my pocket. On a side note, theres also actually a really nice article on a journalist who gave some homeless people in Toronto prepaid credit cards w/ the condition they return them the next day, most did and they were actually really nice and told him their stories.

i loved what you said about him getting mad when you don't have money. i was with my mom on the way to church for easter and a homeless man was begging at a light. my mom is very pious so she wanted to at least give him a prayer cuz we're tight on money (who isn't?) then he started yelling that we weren't christians cuz we wouldn't give him money, even tho my mom was clearly showing him her bible and praying for him. i was just praying the light would turn green lmao

I was standing at the bus stop, and there was this incoherent homeless guy that just started shouting at me. Then he would go harass someone else, but he kept coming back to me! Last Summer here in Indianapolis Indiana, a lady rolled down her car window to hand a homeless guy a $1.00 bill, and when he reached for the dollar bill he cut her hand with a razor blade and tried to steal her car. True story!
Homeless people are crazy! One time some guy said he wanted money from me to buy beer, I told him I'm not giving anything to buy you beer. Than he want to throw a freakin' beer bottle at me for not giving money and shouting I was a whore and stuff.

We almost don't have homeless people in Norway. Poor people who is able to live in an apartment, get one provided for them by the state. So, no experiences with homeless people.
I rode the bus when I attended High School. One day, a man with one leg came up to me and told me to rob a bank for him. As I was backing away slowly, he told me that if I didn't rob a bank for him, he would bite my ear off.
Another time, my grandmother was visiting and as we were leaving a stop light, a homeless man ran his bicycle into the back right door of my mom's car. When everything was settled, we find out he'd done it intentionally to get money from us.
My friend was observing a homeless person for a school research project and he saw one of the homeless people pull out an iphone. Some aren't homeless, just a fair warning.
Working on an ambulance in Los Angeles a year ago, we were taking a homeless guy to the hospital when he flips out and punches me in my face and kicks my partner. We were called by him to help him.... It took five police officer to get this guy under control in there cop car. Fun time, The Streets of LA can be crazy. Sad part was is this is pretty common.
What an awful situation to be in, I don't even want to imagine how you felt. It's a good thing you called the cops though, if you ever run into him again you'll have that to help your case. Glad you're okay, you're much more brave than I would have been.
The only harassment I've had to deal with from homeless people is one asking me and my friend for money, then when we said no he just said "well f*** off then!", was more funny than anything else.

I go to school in Chicago, so I've got a few stories myself (none quite as epic as yours). My favorite is when the homeless MIDGET began following me after I wouldn't give him change...thankfully I was able to out-walk him, haha. There's also this guy on the train I see all the time who walks from one car to the next announcing that he's been on the streets for "almost three days now" and needs some cash. He must be making money because his story hasn't changed for the past THREE YEARS.
I'm all for charity and stuff but if a homeless person who I can see is an "able" individual I get annoyed if they ask for financial help because if I can contribute to society no matter how much I HATE my job, why can't you do the same am I right? It's like get your life back on track and get to it
I'm a big fan, but this vid doesn't do you credit. 1) why engage with a homeless person whom you recognize to be intoxicated? not smart; 2) comes across as a trash on all homeless people, many of whom started out as lgbt kids who got kicked out of home because they're lgbt and then got abused or fell in with 'friends' who were abusing drugs/alcohol. Other homeless are mentally ill wgo've been de-institutionalized with inadequate follow-up to save government funds. It's too easy to mock them.
@trisshandy Not all homeless are lgbt...and if one abuses drugs or alcohol is no one elses fault but their own regardless of who introduced it to them. The only good argument is the last one, but living in an area with quite a few homeless people, I'd say that's not all that common.
@sugaryxoosweets - Who said "all homeless are lgbt"? But a high proportion of homeless youth are lgbt. Many kicked out of home and with no family support by the age of 14. Many shelters and outreach programs have been defunded, and in some places the only ones are church-run and reject lgbts. Easy to say that drug/alchol abuse is the "fault" of the user, but that doesn't help to someone on the street who realizes s/he made a mistake,and then is told there's a 4-month wait to get into rehab.
One of the very few times in my life i went to church i ran into people i hadn't seen in a long time. At the end of mass, there was only 1 exit, so there was a lot of pushing to move out 100+people. As i was leaving, this old lady grabs me by the shoulder and puts her hand out, and i thought i recognized her and shook her hand and gave her a hug, thinking it was an old friend from the neighborhood.
By the time i got out, i realized that was actually a Homeless woman asking for money.

At this bookstore i used to work, there were so many homeless people who would come by. most would keep to themselves which is fine, but there would others that would literally cause so many problems. they would pee on the floor, yell at my coworkers and i, and leave food everywhere. kinda glad i don't work there anymore. lol.
back in my NYC college days I used to always pass this homeless guy on my way to my dorm. Most times I gave him a dollar, but this one time I only had a quarter, so I gave him that. He got all pissed, started screaming that a quarter was nothing, that I should give him a dollar. From that moment on I decided I would never again give a homeless guy money. I'll buy them food, but that's about it.

I know what it's like to be set upon by psychotic homeless people. It happened to me when I was in college. Once by a tall one who felt I failed to return his greeting with sufficient respect and another one who chased me down the street screaming nonsense language at me and hollering, "Wubbitz! WUBBITZZ!!!" True story.
It's not realy nice to generalize like that. I was homeless for like 6 months because my boyfriend beat me up and threw me in the street and I was like hundreds of miles away from anyone I knew. I had a homeless guy go nuts on me once when I didn't have cash. He tried to pull me out of my car window by my hair. Ever since then I can't sit in the car at all without a seatbelt, even windows up and doors closed, because that belt is the only thing that kept me in the car.

I had a homeless black dude try to guilt trip me into giving him money! and I AM BLACK!! I was very upset . He wanted me to go to the ATM and get money for HIM because I didn't have any on me.....what? I'm in college and I am broke too. The homeless problem needs to be addressed. LOL.

I feel for homeless people - there are good people who lose their jobs due to circumstance, or their majors can't get them anywhere. By the same token though, there are crazy people out there, so I keep a knife/pepper spray handy if I go downtown.

3 weeks ago 3 friends of mine and me (so 4 gay guys) were standing on a square in Budapest. And an old homeless guy walked up to us and asked us if we can give him some money. We gave him 50 cents and he said: Thank you, I wish that you will get the best girls tonight. :D And of course we began to laugh. :D

My friends and I were at this bar and there was a homeless guy in the parklot and when we came out we didn't see him but we all got in the car had the windows down and getting ready to leave when the homeless guy came up to our window asking for money we said we we're out bc we had bought drinks all night then he said are you scared of me and took CHILD PROOF SCISSORS and reached in the car and said he was going to kill us!!! so we took off and almost ran over the guy and called the cops!

I generally try to minimize my contact with homeless people. I politely say, "I am sorry. I am not prepared to help you today." I repeat that, if they interact more with me. While many homeless people are quite harmless, some homeless people have a criminal record and are not good people. I have photos on my cell phone of a homeless person who tried to steal money from the offering plate at church. Glad you are safe Will. :-) HUGS.

...Once inside we looked around and we couldn't see her. So we got in line to buy tickets. While I am buying my ticket this lady appears and like starts talking to me, "Wow that was scary wasn't it. Good thing we ran. Some people are really creepy." I look at her like WTF O_O I said "I don't know you, please leave me alone." and she goes over to my friends and starts talking to them. So I tell the ticket lady about her and she got kicked out :P
P.S. Her breath smelt REALLY bad :(

My friends and I were chased by a homeless woman once. It was a rather interesting experience...
I parked the car and we all started talking to our destination (Science World). This lady comes up and asks for money. We say that we don't have anything and keep walking. We were about 200ft away from her and she starts running towards us. So we just start walking faster... She started to shout and wave her hands at us... My friends and I were totally creeped out so we ran into Science World...

when i was on a school trip for a few days i was walking down the street with a few of my friends, and there was this homeless guy running down the street behind us yelling "ya you better run you fuckin asshole im gonna come over there an kill your ass"
but we had no idea who he was yelling at and chasing because the rest of the street just had some pedestrians on it. so we were like ok this guy is clearly on some scary shit, so we ran into a random resteraunt for awhile

the ones where i live are nice enough, i have been mugged in Vienna though (he wasnt homeless) and thankfully i only take exact change, so i only had 5 euros in my pocket. On a side note, theres also actually a really nice article on a journalist who gave some homeless people in Toronto prepaid credit cards w/ the condition they return them the next day, most did and they were actually really nice and told him their stories.

i loved what you said about him getting mad when you don't have money. i was with my mom on the way to church for easter and a homeless man was begging at a light. my mom is very pious so she wanted to at least give him a prayer cuz we're tight on money (who isn't?) then he started yelling that we weren't christians cuz we wouldn't give him money, even tho my mom was clearly showing him her bible and praying for him. i was just praying the light would turn green lmao

I was standing at the bus stop, and there was this incoherent homeless guy that just started shouting at me. Then he would go harass someone else, but he kept coming back to me! Then the creepoid followed me onto my bus, because low and behold, he had a giant wad of one dollar bills. But then he fell asleep in the back of the bus. But when he followed me, I had so many images in my mind where he followed me home, all of which ended up with me fairly dead. But no harm done.

That's insane. I hate it when homeless people hang out right at the door of a business. There was one in the airlock of the Cheddars here in Dallas. So technically he was IN the building panhandling customers on their way in and out of the restaurant. Good job having the guts to call him out on /his own/ prejudice!

Last Summer here in Indianapolis Indiana, a lady rolled down her car window to hand a homeless guy a $1.00 bill, and when he reached for the dollar bill he cut her hand with a razor blade and tried to steal her car. True story!

I rode the bus when I attended High School. One day, a man with one leg came up to me and told me to rob a bank for him. As I was backing away slowly, he told me that if I didn't rob a bank for him, he would bite my ear off.
Another time, my grandmother was visiting and as we were leaving a stop light, a homeless man ran his bicycle into the back right door of my mom's car. When everything was settled, we find out he'd done it intentionally to get money from us.

Working on an ambulance in Los Angeles a year ago, we were taking a homeless guy to the hospital when he flips out and punches me in my face and kicks my partner. We were called by him to help him.... It took five police officer to get this guy under control in there cop car. Fun time, The Streets of LA can be crazy. Sad part was is this is pretty common.

I go to school in Chicago, so I've got a few stories myself (none quite as epic as yours). My favorite is when the homeless MIDGET began following me after I wouldn't give him change...thankfully I was able to out-walk him, haha. There's also this guy on the train I see all the time who walks from one car to the next announcing that he's been on the streets for "almost three days now" and needs some cash. He must be making money because his story hasn't changed for the past THREE YEARS.

I'm a big fan, but this vid doesn't do you credit. 1) why engage with a homeless person whom you recognize to be intoxicated? not smart; 2) comes across as a trash on all homeless people, many of whom started out as lgbt kids who got kicked out of home because they're lgbt and then got abused or fell in with 'friends' who were abusing drugs/alcohol. Other homeless are mentally ill wgo've been de-institutionalized with inadequate follow-up to save government funds. It's too easy to mock them.

@trisshandy Not all homeless are lgbt...and if one abuses drugs or alcohol is no one elses fault but their own regardless of who introduced it to them. The only good argument is the last one, but living in an area with quite a few homeless people, I'd say that's not all that common.

@sugaryxoosweets - Who said "all homeless are lgbt"? But a high proportion of homeless youth are lgbt. Many kicked out of home and with no family support by the age of 14. Many shelters and outreach programs have been defunded, and in some places the only ones are church-run and reject lgbts. Easy to say that drug/alchol abuse is the "fault" of the user, but that doesn't help to someone on the street who realizes s/he made a mistake,and then is told there's a 4-month wait to get into rehab.

One of the very few times in my life i went to church i ran into people i hadn't seen in a long time. At the end of mass, there was only 1 exit, so there was a lot of pushing to move out 100+people. As i was leaving, this old lady grabs me by the shoulder and puts her hand out, and i thought i recognized her and shook her hand and gave her a hug, thinking it was an old friend from the neighborhood.
By the time i got out, i realized that was actually a Homeless woman asking for money.

I used to ride the bus to downtown Cleveland. I had a guy ask me for money to pay for his morning coffee. I offered him my drink from my lunch. He looked at me and said "I need bus fare".At which point I walked away.
I was walking around downtown Chicago. A persistent man began to chase me and my friend after we declined to give him some cash, yelling "You afraid? If you afraid, you better run!" (we did).

Once my friends and I were walking out of Barnes' and Noble's and a homeless guy in a wheel chair asked us if we could help push him up to a Burger King across the street, and we did. He then asked us for our names and we gave him fake ones...and yah, that's pretty muc my only experience with homeless people...It's that bad, I suppose. I was on vacation with a friend in New Orleans one time and a homeless guy came up to us holding up a naked, obviously old and used Barbie doll saying he would sell it to us for $4. We politely declined and he was nice enough about it, but it still made for a pretty unforgettable experience.

I was walking in Down Town San Diego with my dog (20 lbs max) and this homeless guy kicked my dog (Not hard thankfully - I think he was a lil tipsy) and started shouting at my dog "Get away from my cans!"
This other time I was walking on a bridge over a highway in Down Town San Diego and a crazy (Not sure he was homeless, maybe a junkie) guy comes up to me and asks me to jump off the bridge with him. The guy was three times my size.

back in my NYC college days I used to always pass this homeless guy on my way to my dorm. Most times I gave him a dollar, but this one time I only had a quarter, so I gave him that. He got all pissed, started screaming that a quarter was nothing, that I should give him a dollar. From that moment on I decided I would never again give a homeless guy money. I'll buy them food, but that's about it.

omg I remember once I was in D.C. with school and we went to get ice cream at like 11 at night and there was this guy like moaning and making weird noises and at first we all thought it was a joke but it wasnt and it was super scary and then this other guy, that is clearly drunk, decides to start yelling at this guy and the guy kinda started walking toward him and then back toward us, idk y he didnt just go over there and so we freaked and then 5 mins later we saw a 10 yr old get arrested.

@danceqt19 and I'm not sure if this guy was homeless but thats what it reminded me of. and he was walking weird, his legs and arms would randomly jerk out and stuff, we decided he was probably on drugs. and then these girls took sporks from the ice cream place to 'shank' people with if they tried to attack us because they saw it on tv once. it was very odd.

I had a homeless black dude try to guilt trip me into giving him money! and I AM BLACK!! I was very upset . He wanted me to go to the ATM and get money for HIM because I didn't have any on me.....what? I'm in college and I am broke too. The homeless problem needs to be addressed. LOL.

i was in spain once and i was coming out of this store and all of a sudden out of nowhere this homeless person lets out some weird moan shoves a cup (for change) right in my face. it was so unexpected i like tried to run away but ended up hitting into my friend who was standing next to me and it made the whole situation awkward
