PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME, I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO....I recently got a second hand flatscreen imac and for some reason it wont go pass the boot screen (the white screen with the apple logo in the middle and the little loading clock underneath) and then it just stays that way endlessly unless I power it off. But I still can access my terminal if I power it on and hold down the command+S key at the same time for usually about five seconds then my terminal comes on......HELP ME PLEASE!!!

@Sincitybabyg This same this happened to me. Take this to the closest Apple store and they will fix it for free. Your hard drive has been wiped or fried.

Can't you just sudo open CrashScreen ?

@Jiggerjinn 'open' is a command made specifically made for the Mac OS X desktop environment. You would not need to, in this case use sudo if you were going to use open. The way I show to launch executables is the standard way, and works better when connected via ssh, or in single user mode.
