@wknose would you happen to know the size and the offset? i'm guessing its a 18x10.5 rim cause i know they run a 285 tire. i just need to know the offset thanks
Hey! That's Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah. That's my home track. I race Formula Continential and the Tequila Patron Porsche GT3 there! Awesome track!
Stupid internet trolls. Who cares if an evo or sti is better with stock internals? no stock internals engine will last long above 400 whp in a race setting
ok it might be a little bit stronger. But by no means is this guy correct with his horsepower remarks. ESPECIALLY here in utah at 6,000 ft above sea level. Impossible.
To run RELIABLY yes. I've been at 510awhp for 20k miles on the STOCK BLOCK with absolutely no problems. Stop making excuses for the STI. I'm trying to buy one for a daily driver but when it comes down to pure performance the Evo wins everytime hands down. There really is no arguement for this and all the records the Evo holds over the STI proves this.
Well how much money do you need? No STI has come close to the AMS Evo in the 1/4 mile. That Evo trapped 138 in the 8th mile and ran 8.4 with only 3 cyclinders in 4th gear
Rally yes, road racing... maybe a handful of times, but anyone with common sense knows the Evo owns the STI on the road course as well. Absolutely NO STI could touch the TA-1 on the road course. Period. I'm an STI fan don't get me wrong. My next car is going to be an STI but I'm getting an STI because I don't plan on racing it. The STI has a few more creatures comforts then the Evo that I like.
have you seen the versace can-jam subaru? i think if they were put head to head the subaru would win now to get that race going is going to be hard seeing as one is in canada and one is in Jamaica :)
Honestly, I think it comes down to preference. I love how the flat 4 sounds. Plus it has a lower CG because the motor sits really low. The Evo responds to mods wayy better than the Subaru does. Don't get me wrong, Evo's are AWESOME cars, I just prefer the STi.
im a nissan fan obviously, but damn if i only had the cash to dig out for either an evo or sti, though i think the evo looks a bit better both of these cars are very very fine peices of machinery, its a great competition.
How much did it weigh???????

Get an Evo. Sti is weaker and prone to motor issues. Evo= 600-800 whp with internals. Sti= 500+ whp and needs internal work.
turkeyshitting 2 years ago
your an idiot. 600-800 whp on the evo would require motor work.

thw time attack evo VIII stroker engine was used in four seasons, I think 4g63s are stronger than EJ25s.

Not entirely true. I believe the record on stock internals is over 700+awhp. Can't say the same for the STI.
damstr 2 years ago
Sounds about right. Does STM still hold the record for the fastest short block evo? Didn't it go 10.1 or somewhere around there?
ls1maro99 2 years ago
As far as I know yeah.

well u can go unlimited and be as fast as anything really SO IN THE END IT COMES DOWN TO MONEY
subeefan 2 years ago
oh and in road racing and rallying the STi has beat the evo several times so i guess it depends on what discipline you know 'bout

Bolt ons.

oh tru but if you spend the time you can mod as in customize it for your car :)

I want to see more. This should be like a TV show of AMS vs Crawford. Them arguing and stuff, that'd be funny.
