  • I learn so much from watching what you guys do. Thank you.

  • Thanks for the comment! I see you're from Lancaster. Both of us are originally from Pottstown.

  • Nice! ! !

All my friends watch your videos too. Are your guys working on new stuff to put up?

  • Love what your doing guys, but please get some protective equipment. You'll find with some basic protectives you'll learn a lot more about the fight.

  • We plan on doing just that. We think that to become proficient it is best to be able to pull hits when needed (without gear) but be able to hit hard when necessary (with gear). Thanks for the comment!

  • Great! The slow motion replay makes all the difference. Keep it up!

  • Thanks!

  • We've had some major innovations/realizations/changes of interpretation since shooting these videos, mostly due to the practice shown here. We'll be making updated videos shortly that better reflect our current interpretations.

  • It's fine for what it is but I don't think you should call it freeplay. It is too staged and attacks too linear. You aren't moving at the edge of zufechten to create openings, just ploughing in.

  • Thank you for the comment! Nothing about this video is staged in the slightest. I can also assure you that the attacks are not linear, but I can see how the camera makes it look that way in the video. We're still on the fence as far as the preferred way to approach the opponent with the longsword, and how to act in the Zufechten, but in least in this video we are abiding by Master Liechtenauer's words; "Who there lies, he is dead. Who moves, he will live."
