The PROBLEM is many fold. First you are trying to bring God down to our level of making us equal with Him. You and I are SINNERS with disgusting thoughts and actions because we are of the flesh and have a SIN NATURE. God is Holy, Spiritual, Supernatural and, EVERYTHING that our flesh is NOT. This verse doesn't refer to annihilation, but rather a change of one condition to another (unlike the flood). The text that follows immediately after this indicates The Great Tribulation (7 years) and then followed by The Second Coming of Christ. All prophecy is fulfilled and the moment awaits. The unredeemed (Israel) does not know, but will discover it at the Battle of Armageddon when Jesus comes to rule His Kingdom. Because of the end-time signs, this is literally just around the corner.

The PROBLEM is many fold. First you are trying to bring God down to our level of making us equal with Him. You and I are SINNERS with disgusting thoughts and actions because we are of the flesh and have a SIN NATURE. God is Holy, Spiritual, Supernatural and, EVERYTHING that our flesh is NOT.
