Those twits. How do they not know the "Join or die" symbol? What a good sport Craig is. I would have been incredibly rude and called them all friggin' idiots. To their faces. Also, a couple times, Craig is reining in a couple of swear words. Ha!
@Procrastinator300 I learned about the join or die cartoon in school. It was in my textbook. We didn't spend two minutes on it but History is my favorite subject so I guess it just stuck with me.
@MangoHombre it's weird how they don't teach about that in school. In 5th and 8th grade when I was learning about U.S. history, my teachers never even mentioned that as far I can remember. The first time I saw it was on him
Honestly, I could just sit there and watch Craig and Whoopi talk with each other for an hour without the rest of them there. It's not that the others are useless, but Whoopi and Craig pull no punches AND they're incredibly funny. I have to say, though, that Walters does surprise me occasionally when she displays her frankness.
he wore the same shirt on Rachel Ray AND they made a point of him wearing the shame shirt on RR TWICE!!! (Plus they showed a segment where he was on video on RR...wearing the same shirt...) That's awesome :)
@18scotslad@missdailybailey well there's more than one scottish accent isn't there? yeah there's probly a scots accent and a scottish gaelic accent, right? but yeah there is a difference between Irish and Scottish for sure, I can tell. Don't know what that person's talking about he doesn't sound irish, sounds scottish. Britain seems so cool, I mean US is great too but Britain seems awesome as well. want to go there again
@procrastinator300 Yeah, there is Scottish Gaelic and Scottish. Lol. I'm thnking of moving to the USA. Scotlands weather is shit. Always rains in the summer. Can u recommend any good real estate websites that covers the whole of the USA. I go on Realtor.com to look at houses and apartments. Thanks.
@18scotslad don't know, I'm 16 and have lived in the same house my whole life. I should really learn though, shouldn't I? but yeah, I remember the one time I went to England when I was 9, it was April, and on the day we drove to London (I stayed in Southampton), it was raining fucking bullets. You never get that here in L.A. The people suck, but its the best weather in the world. Even the rain is alright here.
@procrastinator300 Ah right. Nice. LA sounds lovely. UK weather rains most of the time. Sorry but just for the record, Scotland and England are 2 separate countries. Scotland, England, Northern Ireland and Wales are 4 separate countries that make up the United Kingdom. Thanks for the info.
@18scotslad I know that. But Britain is the whole of Scotland, England, and Wales right? The whole island is called Great Britain. And don't England and Scotland have similar weather? Well, i guess Scotland might be colder
@procrastinator300 Ah right. cool. Yeah, Britain is the whole of Scotland, England and Wales. Ireland is a separate Island that isnt part of Great Britain. Scotland and England have the similiar weather yeah. To be honest, I dont if Scotland is cooler as I have only been to England a couple of times.
i love how some comments are saying how does an American not know what the join or die symbol means. Maybe you shouldn't blame it on the American and blame it on the school. I didnt learn about that until college.
@Tamashi88 in my old school system we focused on math an english and our test scores for those two courses. Nothing else really mattered. sports, arts, and sciences are way underfunded and virtually are uncared for. When I went off to college i started to take more history and science classes. We couldnt help what we learned. As public school students we learned what the teachers felt like teaching.
@Tamashi88 I just want to add that I was in the largest school system in my state, it just makes me sick that a lot of the students didnt get to learn about much our American History. Yet the stupid big wigs in our state government want to cut our school funding even more.
@CandyShakes As a Canadian I really shouldn't criticize American legislator… but I cannot help but agree with you.
Also I am a student of history and I have been all my life… I doubt that most of my friend would know the significance of his tattoo.
I was lucky enough to be in the Separate School System (catholic) which has better funding then public schools in my province. So my schools had a fairly round education.
@Tamashi88 I used to go to a Magnet school where arts were the main thing we worried about. You did what interested you. At the regular public schools we had a list of classes you had to pick from to graduate (just like college when getting a degree) but it was nothing useful. I hate that school. Nobody cared, not the students or the teachers.
@CandyShakes i see. In a city near me there is an Arts secondary school.. so the classes are the main Idea ...but you have to be good to get in. and they still have the other manditory classes (English, French, Maths, Sciences etc) I would have liked to have gone there... It's a shame that it isn't the same south of the border.
Have you seen 'Wating for Superman' It's a doco about the amarican school systems.

Wow, how didn't these 5 idiots not know "Join or Die"? Jesus fucking Christ are we the dumbest country ever to exist? It's got the name of all the colonies right on the cartoon! That's Junior High history stuff.
Shame on these Americans on not knowing the history and background for the Join Or Die political cartoon! A (awesome) Scotsman had to educate them on it! Even I knew about the origin! and i'm a South Korean from Europe! and yes I am a douchebag :)
