Why didn't you just use a capo on the first fret instead of "adjusting:" the tuning with an app... that is probably what was done in the studio... people like to over complicate things
i can play....never took the time to learn this...as it was painful to watch...dude broke it down nice...just a lil fast forwarding and i got it no prob! yeah i no his a beginner him self but really you can learn from anyone! i think he rocks! thanks man1 i dig it!
On the chorus...It doesn't go to a C# chord...Instead C# is the major third of A major chord...so an easy and resonate way to play the changes is play an "E5" on the 7th fret (E on A string 7th fret, B on 9th fret of D string), then slide that shape down to "D5", then hold the A note on the 3rd string while you drop your index finger down to C#, over to A on low E string, back to C# and then back to "D5". You are basically doubling the melody that goes major 4th, major 3rd, tonic, 3rd
are u playing the tab in ur blog on this video? because when i play it it doesnt sound like that, but it might be because im playing on acoustic. btw does this work on acoustic? thanks!
@CSxWOOF It will not sound the same as the album since the pitch of the album is not in standard tuning. The song was recorded on an analog Reel-to-reel system, and when they finalized the song it ended up raising the pitch up about a semitone. But they liked the effect so they left it like that. Yes you can play it on an acoustic, and I am playing the tab on my blog.
Hey Jim, thanks so much for taking the time to make this video. Your teaching has really helped me bro. Thanks again and that is one beautiful SG. Peace, Daniel.
@emaccomputer Thanks! I am no pro, but I tried to share what I know. I learned a lot of songs from videos on youtube, so I thought I would try and make some of my own to contribute back. I love that red SG, my favorite guitar I own.
I concur keep practicing

@CSxWOOF Don't use power chords. Use open acoustic chords.
