  • i want an ipad, and ipod touch (maybe an ipod human! lol look for it on youtube), just dance 2, iphone, hmmm, lets c, o yea! and of course ill want money!!!!! lol!

  • thats wierd how you have thanksgiving in november!!

i got an ipod touch, guitar hero workd tour, DDR, new stuff to decorate my room, jewlry, clothes, cd's andthats all i can remember now becxause its july! lol

What did you end up getting?

i dont really EVER make wish lists! i dont expect anything amazing because its about giving, and we dont have that much money

  • It is a fun video, and I'm not saying everyone should be responding with "Peace on earth!" and "love for everyone!" But it is showing greed and materialism.

I buy gifts, but it's something useful that they need, and I get something spectacular that they made themselves, or just a hug, and a "thank you" which is all I wanted in return.

But really, just think about it.

If you're a kid writing out your Christmas list, would you be able to buy all those things for someone else?

  • Hi guys, I posted a response but Youtube says the video is unavaliable :(

  • I want an Ipod , Webkinz, Shining Star, and a real live duck lol

  • Merry Christmas!!!!! lol cute video =]

  • cool video and ummmm dk just i want smackdown vs raw 2008 for psp

  • cool

  • hmmmmmmmm world peace and a paula dean cookbook

  • I would like my fellow Americans to stop placing so much importance on "stuff" for Christmas and actually focus on "Peace on Earth, Good Will Toward Men...And Women and the Planet itself". Also, I would like to see you kids take the RISK of NOT getting anything for Christmas, not BUYING into the notion that people have to always BUY stuff. Spend your Christmas doing something for your family & community that you wouldn't normally do...

  • i agree, i wish that people would not wait in line all night for products, the consumer programming is comparable to propaganda, people in th usa are so used to buying and throwing away junk... we reject spiritual values for junk

  • It's crazy, isn't it? But I hear more and more people rebelling against modern consumerism in America, partly out of the realization that it is obscene, and also out of the realization that it is killing us and the natural world around us, whcih cannot sustain unlimited growth and consumption. A sliver of hope...

  • I think it's stupid as well, i work in retail and it makes me sick at this time of year. people have really lost the meaning of christmas . Now all people focus on is i want this i need this if i dont get this i'll die! my parents didn't have money do buy me what my brothers and i thought we wanted for xmas, so I grew up wanting more important things like family togetherness and celebrating xmas for what it really is and not what the retail biz made it be.

  • It's like we've all become DRUG ADDICTS, addicted to THINGS and CONSUMPTION, and Corporate America is the dealer. What's WORSE, we have handed our children over to Big Biz who, like some Pied Piper, is leading them away from what's truly important.

  • Yea. A little gift for the ones you love is fine, but people feel that they are obligated to buy others computers and all sorts of shit that these little brats can get a job and make the money to get it themselves. sure someone buying something like that for them would make them happy and appreciative for like five days then they are back to being the same little selfish, greedy, brat! have seen first hand many a time.

  • You said it. If I had a nickel for every EXPENSIVE gift given to the children of friends of mine that ended up in a closet a week later as they screamed for "MORE!", I'd be a very rich man.

  • A nation of super-consumers WILL fail for the simple reason that you cannot sustain this level of consumption. Look around. Dwindling resources, higher prices, gross pollution, etc., all so that we can have a new car every three years and TONS of stuff we throw away after a few uses. Disgusting.

  • You have your points but you are being too political now. There is nothing you can do. My best friend made this video and it is cute! and this is a place for comments on his video and what not, i think it would be polite to stop protesting the "new" meaning of Christmas here and take it to a forum elsewhere, I'm pretty sure that one exists.. we all deserve to have a peaceful Christmas which ever way we chose to celebrate it, weather its with fancy , over the top gifts, or just the gift of love!

  • i disagree. While it may be a cute video, if someone posts a video on YouTube, a VERY public forum, asking people to not solicit certain types of absolutely relevant comments is unrealistic and an attempt at censorship. AND, the volume is getting MUCH louder as people bemoan the perversion of Christmas. The time for "polite" is LONG over, and "polite" is just another form of denial at how serious the problem is.

  • Peaceful Christmas? There IS no peaceful Christmas anymore!!! You have MILLIONS of people losing there HOMES because of the VERY same super-consumer mentality that fuels Christmas spending! Second of all, thousands are DEAD, and hundreds of thousands WOUNDED fighting to secure Middle Eastern oil to lubricate our "economic engine".

  • This is NOT cheap or partisan politics. It is the stated objective of our government to secure the American way of life. If Chavez cuts off our oil after December 2, or if Iran has it's way with the oil and the full transition from the dollar to the Euro, this country is in BIG trouble. So "polite" and illusions of a "peaceful Christmas" achieve NOTHING except to deceive the youngsters in this video that their future is bright!

  • Look around. We're at war. Home sales are at RECORD lows, which WILL precipitate a falling economy, gasoline is at RECORD highs, towns in Georgia have access to water for only three hours a day as drought grips the Southeast AS WELL AS the West, causing MAJOR expenditures from fires, FURTHER weakening local economies, and ON AND ON AND ON!

  • PEACEFUL CHRISTMAS?!? I'm 51, and people my age and older will tell you that this country is in the WORST shape of our lifetime, INCLUDING the Vietnam Era! PEACEFUL CHRISTMAS?!? The more we hold that illusion up to our children, the greater disservice we do to them. The time for lies and deception and masking the degradation of values and quality of life by BUYING MORE STUFF is FAST coming to a VERY tragic end.

  • Now, if you cannot connect the dots between the super-consumption of American society, which is only INCREASING as we teach kids to clamor for MORE, MORE, MORE material crap (the VAST majority of which is garbage and only serves the dumbing down of American kids) as a path to happiness, to SO much of what ails this country, then that is a shame. America needs it's citizens to wake up and smell the coffee, before it's too late for us...and these kids.

  • My family is one of those that could be on the brink of losing everything, and i still manage to have a peaceful christmas, and christmas cheer.

  • If you can have a peaceful Christmas, more power to you. But the idea of "peaceful Christmas" nowadays reminds me of that MOST famous WWl Christmas day, the Christmas Truce of 1914, when after some of the bloodiest & senseless fighting mankind has ever known, soldiers on both sides put down their weapons, came out of the trenches, exchanged cigarettes, talked, embraced, played games...

  • ...and then went right back to killing one another at the end of the day. The OBSERVANCE of Christmas only made the madness more profound and tragic. I wonder would happen if people went on a "Christmas Boycott", bought nothing, saved their money and concentrated on family and community, and even DONATED that money to programs that help strengthen our world?

  • that would be nice, it's never going to happen.

  • DVDs! And an HD camera.
