  • ok her hair did not look the best when she finished the video but come on yall are just being disrespectful. aint no need to talk about the girl like that. i swear people have such big balls behind a computer screen. smh.

  • SMH! wth do u thinkk ur doinn ?? u have thin long hair my hair is still long and very thick and healtyy!! u dont flat iron hair while its wett! that was a waist of time. . . 4 both of us. . . first of all u need to blow dry then yuu like really need to lay off the heat 4 a while. . . i really dont know what to tell u. . . ur just a hot mess && then ur gonna say u think it looks good. . . well obviously u thought wrong and personaly im not a mean person but u make me wanna b!! smh

  • your hair is too greasy to flat iron

  • your hair is see through...i'd rather have short thick healthy hair than long thin damaged hair. VERY UNATTRACTIVE. I hope you are taking better care of it now...

  • this is a joke right? U cant straighten ur hair when it's wet dummy. it's gonna damage it.

  • You have long beautiful hair. Why damage a nice thing...

  • Maybe why it's so still no movement

  • i just wanted to slap the shit out of her when she smiles at the end of the video

  • @TheItalianFlavor what? why? lol, so wrong!

  • Sista - I say this with luv (if it's not 2 late). PLEASE stop doin what u doing. Research what everyone's trying 2 help u understand : applying direct heat 2 wet hair's the WORSE thing u could do 2 yr hair. Do u still do this?

Guys, 'we don't know what we don't know'. D'you notice this 'tutorial' vid got 58 positive ratings (2date) - raving bout the tool (refering 2 it as a "product") & how they luv how this Sistas (sizzling) hair turned out. No 1 in the early comments said "STOP" ;-(

  • It's working for her. Might not work for you, though, so don't try it.

  • Your hair is so thin...you can see it when you turn. It's thin because..you done burnt it!

  • Your hair is popping but drying your hair while its wet will damage your hair, you should dry it with a towel or blow dry it then hot iron it !

  • Amillionmorelikeme, you look so beautiful with her hair like that; but take it from someone who knows something about natural hair grow, the last thing you want to do is flat iron WET HAIR. Please don't do that again. :-)

  • Why Are You Flat Ironing Ur Hair Wet?.. That A No-No!!.. I Suggest u dry it a least damp stage or fully dry and the flat iron.. Ur Puttin to much excessive heat on it by goin over it more than 2x.. Just a suggestion

  • @ benyealiscute: all people are saying is that you're not supposed to straighten your hair when it's wet...that's just common sense.

we're saving her from going bald.

  • u have nice hair but i would NEVER in a million yrz suggest flat ironing while itz wet

  • Leave her alone if you aren't going to post way and suggestions to help her. Some people really feel better about themselves by talking down to others. Now if you left a comment and your input was constructive criticism, good. But if you just came on her page to say something hateful...fail. If you see the sister struggling...help her by suggesting hair care blogs, forums, etc....like crabs in a barrel i for real....

  • Wow.

Someone really needs to teach you to flat iron properly before you end up bald...

  • Okay, put the flat iron down and no hair follicles will get hurt.

  • lmao

  • why are people so mean geesh she posted a video not to inconvenience anyone but to show her routine. constructive criticism people, not demoralization.

  • Notice how your hair can barely keep a curl..wanna know why? The damage your doing is so extensive that your ends are probably split beyond all recognition! The next demo, (I Hope) will be you doing the BC and cutting all that mess off n starting over with proper hair care..Good luck to you!

  • speechless

  • your hair turned out good but flat ironing wet to dry will cause damage and breakage over time.

you can flat iron on damp hair but doing it on wet will cause damage. i know :(

  • You're adorable but please don't flat iron on wet hair. You;re just asking for damage to happen

  • You're not serious.

You can't be. You mean to tell me that after you flat ironed your hair when it was soaking wet, giving each section like 7 passes, you went back through with the same flat iron and curled it?

    Can you say "heat damage?"

    Gtfoh. Please take this down.

  • Comment removed

  • oh no! Please kids dont follow this example!

  • you are very pretty ..but flat ironing you hair when it damp you are distroying your hair ..dry it 1st

  • You are a cute girl, but you really need to go to a salon. Take care of yourself and your hair. This is not the way.

  • when they say that "straighten you hair when its wet will lock in the moisture" they ACTUALLY mean... SLIGHTLY DAMP HAIR NOT DRIPPING WET.

  • @XxBrandiGirlxX No, no, no, Sweetheart. Your HAIR SHOULD BE TOTALLY DRY before flat ironing it, and you should coat your hair with a heat protectant before applying a flat iron to a single strand of your hair. This product protects the hair cuticle and underlyng hair structure from getting damaged by heat. You can add natural oils, shea butter, or and a light pomade after flat iroining is finished. Hopes this helps.

  • ur hair looks fried and u need a trim bad

  • Omfg.

    Iyou straighten your HAIR WET?

    are you MAD?

Gurl, you just totally destroyed your hair no questions.

  • you look great LOL

  • your so pretty i love your hair

  • YOUR HAIR WAS SOAKED WHEN YOU BEGAN FLAT IRONING

your gonna end up with not a strand on your head:S

  • Lmfaoo

  • Wash, spray with heat protection spray, dry, style, set with whatever after product you like. DO NOT follow by her example and straighten hair wet!!

  • Comment removed

  • also, when your hair is wet when flat ironing it the end results are stiff because when water is added it makes it stiff but when flat ironed and dry it is more BOUNCY../

  • Comment removed

  • i think it looks pretty cute lol... but u should dry it before u iron it

  • Its just her type of hair.. it looks very nice!

  • don't kill your hair!

  • ur hair looks very damaged horrible

dnt ever do that again unless u HAVE

IT DRYED WITH A HEAT PROTECTOR

    ND IT MOUSTERIZED ND EVERYTHING

ELSE NOT THIS STUPID SHIT WET ND STREIGHTIN IT

  • her hair looks damaged at the ends and brown and also dry and has no life or bounce. she should have dried it and not moisturized with water but actual oils meant AFTER flat ironing not WHILE!!!

  • oh just pleas dont damage your hair like that i have the same straighter at home and its wrealy good and if just straigh them dry then they wont be that damaged and they will be prety :D

  • your hair looks damaged and it looks so dry its so lifeless no body

  • we can all agree that the results of the Kyoseki is damaging to her hair but why are yall so agressive its just hair dummies

  • Actually you can use it on wet hair, but you have to use the crystal shine stuff first instead of last, because it locks the hair cuticle and all that stuff. but I have had my Kyoseki for 2 years and it has done just fine. One reason it might break is because it has a defect. All you have to do is send it back and tell them to send a new one. Anoter tip, the silver ones have a better chance of lasting longer. i learned that from expierence.

  • So, out of curiosity - does it actually advise in the instruction leaflet that it can be used on wet hair? TIA =)

  • it is all up to you. in my opinion when i straighten my hair when its wet my hair has a better shine to it and instead of a hair straightened smell you get a natural smell to your hair.

  • The results are horrible, the hair has no life

  • She looks like a bunny at the end when she's smiling.

It'd be best for her reputation that she remove the videos in this series because she is being treated left and right by comments.

  • Please use a hot oil treatment ASAP...

you have put so much heat on ur hair i cant believe its still on ur scalp.

yes, that hair is dead... really dead...but if u like i then... watever floats ur boat

  • Um yeah Im gonna have to ask u not to do that ne more!!!!!!!!!!!!! My mom does hair n she was over here freak'n out b/c of this vid!!LOL

  • UGLY WET OR DRY

  • OMG, your hair has no life to it. Its so flat and dry. No bounce what so ever. its stiff as a board. You have no idea what you're doing, let alone the damage you are doing to your hair. Your ends are so dry and thin. i hope you have stopped this. u need to take these vids down ASAP to try and save yourself some embarrassment!!

  • i dont c anything wrong with her hair it doesnt look stiff it lookz bouncy it looks very nice but sshe shouldnt have flat ironed it wen it was wet dat damages it. i would never do that to my hair

  • NO SWEETY her hair is lifeless, for her to only use conditioner in her hair her hair should be bouncy. trust me, haer hair is very damaged.

  • just because youre biracial doesnt mean your hair will always have that "white girl" bounce. i have 3 biracial friends and guess what their BLACK parent was more dominent giving them afro textured hair. now you might be confused and hate being half black and having BEAUTIFUL afro textured hair but you need to embrace being black as well as white. please god lord.

  • i know u have a perm nd so do i. but does flat ironing ur hair wet make it not poffy? because wen i wash my hair i conditon it blow dry it den flat iron it nd makes my hair real poofy nd sometimes i cant even wear it out because it was poofy. ok comment be me bac wen u get a chance

  • do not, i repeat DO NOT EVER flat iron you hair wet its so damaging!!

  • totally agree even with flat irons designed for it, it's very very bad for your hair

  • LMAO! shes too cute!

  • Ah, name calling. What a mature way to get your point across. :|

  • I have just read through all of the comments and to my utter shame laughed at many...I then watched other video's she posted. While she may not be an authority on haircare I admire her because she is switched on intellectually and politically. I watched the Bell Hooks video, an academic I have read and studied. I have learnt an important lesson about what really matters and it isn't HAIR. This was a good experience. - Thank you!

  • O.O omfg.

  • That's too much heat. You did like 7 passes when flat ironing and now when its dry you're still using heat. I've seen many flat ironing tutorials/demos and yours is not something beginners should use as a reference. Sorry.

  • she hasn't posted in 8 months. I hope her and her hair are alright.

  • fa real

  • lol forreal she probabaly embrassed now, she should look

@ some of the you tube pages and write stuff down, did u see her wet her hair on propose and start flat iron and said can u hear it popin my hair lol i want to cry

  • LMAO!

  • her poor hair is just crying with pain from all that damn heat!! ha ha

  • watch2mefly that's the dummest thing you can say. this has nothing to do with long hair and hating on her. Flat ironing is bad, if u use it on wet or dry hair. If you use it often your hair will be damaged. And you dont even have to see it

  • Comment removed

  • i seriously cant stop watching this, its like a horror movie. it hurts my feelings

  • That flat iron scares me! Never will I use that! I hope you're not doing this to your hair anymore either.

  • omg..girl..i seriously hope you're not

    using that thing anymore!!

uhh i just have a hard problem when

i see someone doing something like that

to their hair..i cringed when you flat ironed

    from wet to dry. :(

  • She's probly using a wet to straight.

  • LMAO. Oh dear.

  • seriously, she has some major heat damage going on! First she flat irons her hair completely wet, then even though it looks dry she is STILL putting heat to it? Her hair looks flat and stiff.... cause she fried it.

  • u peeps need 2 stop negative commenting so much

  • the comments are of concern! Her hair doesnt look good considering the price of the iron and technique. Wet hair and oils are fried pieces like chicken. Plus she doesnt have the just left the salon look at all!

  • i kno but she probably wont listen to anyones advice so i might as well not put a comment of wat she is doing wrong

  • ur hair is already straight

  • you have really pretty hair! Just ignore all the rude and jealous comments:).

  • now everyone with negative comments pls stop cause thats just fucking burnt cause in real life she would roast all ur fucking ass and beat the shit out of yous so dont get dumb bitches

  • why you gotta take it to that level... talking about beating people's ass. you sound IGNORANT!

  • ignorant to the fullest.

  • are u kidding? her hair is crispy lol. but on a more serious note, thats really not good for her hair.

  • Major props to you for doing your hair on camera for us! And for all the negative commenting people why did you watch all 3 videos in this series if you were so annoyed.

Your hair is nice! They are just jealous, because they can't do black hair in 15 mins and have it look that good! Congrats your hair looks great! Thanks for the post, for people like me who are thinking about buying the Kiyoseki flat iron!

  • i just saw this vid on the homepage, that doesn't mean i have seen 3 parts

  • Im not hating at all but I think she posted these videos for the whole world to see and as a sister who know about taking care of black hair I was just giving her advice on what she is doing.. She can do what ever she feel fit for her hair but I was just giving my opinion on what I know just because you disagree with someone doesn't necessarily means your hating.

  • who said her hair looks fried is totally worng...that hwo our hair looks when its wettish...

    get ur fact staight...

  • you can tell from the video the iron is too hot.

  • your hair seems heat damaged because for the bottom 6 inches of your hair there is no curl definition. it's already straight.

  • i assume she had a relaxer and had decided to let it grow out. that's why it looks like that.

  • she doesn't know what she's doing.

  • you should only use a vented flat iron on wet hair! when you flat iron your it should never create that much steam and noise! thats a sign tht ur causing lots of heat damage to your hair!

  • i glad it turn out well with all the trouble you went thro, pls next time dry ur hair first

  • omg yur hair is well pend do you have it relaxed

    tayla ...x

  • How long does ur hair stay straight 4 ???

  • a chi is better and the hair moves instead of this greasy look

  • Kewl.

  • ur hair looks fried

  • i jus brought one of those..and THANK U ..SHIT THE 1ST FUCKIN VIDEO THAT I...ACTUALLY BELIEVE..I THINK IT WAS A GOOD INVESTMENT

  • I like the Kiyoseki and it did work wonders for your hair, but you should have dried your hair out first. You didn't even put any moisturizers in your hair before you flat ironed it. I am not saying use Chemicals, but use something like Extra Virgin Olive Oil in your hair before you dry it or flat iron it. This will protect your hair from drying out in a bad way.

  • its a really good straightener. but ladies. dont do it when ur hair is wet! in the long run. its sooo bad for u!

  • I love it when she turns and smiles lol it's cute.

  • ...and she looks so happy lol

  • haha I don't even remember making that comment but yeah she DOES look really pleased lol

  • Ladies don't use a flat iron when your hair is WET !!!!

  • ur very pretty thanks for tha vids

  • looks cute...i might just buy it for my daughter!!

  • What! dont do that! lol

  • i like how your eyeballs get huge

  • right i was looking at the same thing,, it is soo cool when she does that..

  • lol i do the same when i put eyeliner

  • it is such a good straightener

  • Good job, steam is good for your hair{watch that skin!} you know what you are doing.

  • Hey, how often do you do this, I would like to try it but I dont want to suffer more damage than I have to.

  • If you don't want to damage your hair.Use a a protein based conditioner before washing your hair ( with a plastic cap for 30 minutes) Than wash and conditioned your hair.ROLLERSET is a must in having healthy hair. Do a wrap use a little bit of oil sheen and sit under a hood dryer. You'll have the same result .Try it you'll see

  • to each his own.....although I think you could have had a lot more body with a rollerset......

  • the whole thing didnt come out to good!

  • your using way too much heat on your hair when flat ironing it wet.. totally not good. let it air dry at least then flat iron it

  • wet to dry flat ironing isn't necessarily bad. When you flat iron wet hair, the heat from the iron goes into evaporating the water AND straightening your hair, so your hair actually receives less heat than it would on the same heat setting on dry hair. As long as you don't make th iron too hot, your hair should be fine.

  • It actually boils the water within the hair's shaft causing damage from the inside out. Its not a good idea to do.

  • Who told you that? The water doesn't have time to boil "inside the hair shaft"

  • Water + heat = boiling. Ever heard of bubble hair too?

  • i would say you're right but only if you have the wet to straight flat iron other then that any ordinary flat iron fries your hair it sucks all the moisture out and leaves your hair looking dry and frizzy.. i mean don't take offense to what i tell you im just let you know what my beautician told me

  • no, the heat from the iron isn't evaporating the water... its boiling the water---essentially causing the hair to boil/burn. Using heat is damaging to the hair, no matter how expensive your flat iron is, but its especially damaging when used on wet hair. When hair is wet, its at its weakest and its more prone to breakage.

  • gorgeous gurl =]

  • OoOoHhH this thing is tha SHIT! lol Got it, Used it [= n lovin it.

  • i've heard reviews about the kiyoseki not workin after 3 times......true?

  • YES! TOTALLY TRUE!! i got mine and i ABSOULETY HATE IT!! it cant even curl my hair. i mean it can but the curls dont even look nice. after curling it a couple times...it gets all scratched up on the sides. IT TOTALLY SUCKS! if you are planning to get it...DONT!!

  • wow and i was goin to get it...god

  • My hair is very very curly and frizzy. But I dont know if I should buy it, can someone help me?

  • add a silicone base product before you blowdry your hair, then put a heat protectant styling product before you use a flat iron. hope this hepls.

  • Okay, thank you.

    :D

  • Hey great video, can i ask what kind of flat iron you have and how well it works?

  • I'm thinking about getting one of these but I have to ask does it work as well as they make it seem on TV?

  • Ok....I sell the Kiyoseki and although it sounds expensive to upgrade to the professional model....if you old out and pay in full they will upgrade you to the professional model free, priority process your order and deduct the 14.95 s/h....So it would be 119 instead of 134.....just thought someone could save a couple bucks.

  • Wha......??????O_O I bet ur asain....xP

  • ok so like i just need to kno if anyone has had this iron for more that 3 months and if so does it still work cause ive been doin research and i get either phenomenal reviews or Horrible reviews but i havent heard anyone say they have had it for longer than 2 months without if malfunctioning...anyone out there???

  • you didn't get the warranty?
