  • I went to the East Hanover JB yesterday and it was fairly dissapointing....good...but not worthy of a Travel Channel stop. Just my opinion. I got a double combo (hot dog, sausage, potatoes and onions) and it was just ok...I wouldn't go back

  • Back in the day,( 70's ) there was a jimmy buffs in Union NJ, It was da shit!!

  • Jimmy's suck nuts. I ate there once and the place was so dirty and the food sucked. I went there with a friend and he said the same thing. Jimmy;s suck nuts. I think they feed the dogs to the pigs that keep going there. lol

  • wow now if I can bring this great taste to my hot dog cart in Florida, then I'll have it made. man I can just smell them now. yummmmm

  • This looks soo good that its WRONG!! All that grease! WOW!!

  • The East Hanover Jimmy Buff's sucks. They need that dirty West Orange water.

  • Dicky Dees I think its in Newark/East Orange

  • this place is dirty and it sucks. Food is very very very BAD. DO NOT WATE YOUR TIME....like i did. you can tase the nasty oil in your food....the whole thing is bad

  • I was a driver for Appetito Provision Co in Union City and I delivered every Saturday to a Jimmy Buff in Newark. it was a little hole in the wall in a run town section of Newark (14th St). But they served the best greasy hot dog I ever had.

  • Mikes Italian Hot Dogs were better. They were on Springfeild Avenue in Newark but moved downtown around the corner from Veterans Administration. Same Jimmy Buff formula less greasy. I live in Richmond now but I frequent Jersey just to get Italian hot dogs.

  • This was one of the greasiest hot dogs I have ever eaten. It gave me a stomach ache, I basically ate a hot dog, onion and pepper, potatoe, grease soup in a bun. Yuck.

  • @Parker4321 i ate at the 1 that use 2 be on Springfield Ave. in Irvington & it was so greasy it ran rite thru me!....neva again!...gotta eat it while sitn on a toilet!

  • @Parker4321 Double sausages from Styvesant Avenue in Irvington, NJ were the greatest!

  • Nothin like a fresh made Italian dog....a Garden State specialty

  • I haven't had a real Jimmy Buff's hot dog in years! I used to eat them growing up in Newark, NJ in the late 50's early 60's on 14th Ave. We went there for lunch at 14th Ave School...it's been a long time. I make them myself, but Jimmy Buff's is the original and can't be duplicated! Now I'm hungry!

  • @Joeiscool24 - You know, it's really sad how people like you get your kicks from talking trash to people you don't know and showing your stupidity and ignorance through your comments. You're nothing but another punk who tries to sound like a badass over the Internet when you're just another douchebag loser who gets his jollies by being an asshole to others. Get a life!

  • @SopranosFan777 retard, we dont need no low calorie shit sandwich. Go to subway and ask if they want the idea. I worked for jim in the 70s and he would spit on your face if you gave him another recipe not from his family. Even if you gave it today he will come from the dead and shove his shoe up your ass. You really are stupid, People come to this place to have a real italian hotdog not some fake Carolina dog. Unless your 70% dont give any ideas to them. Give it to subway you retard.

  • When I was a kid, the Italian sausage at the West Orange Jimmy Buff's was my favorite meal in the whole world

  • My mother & grandfather grew upon these in Newark. Mom went 50 miles to get one for "Papa" when he had only a few days left. It was all he wanted. Thanks for making him happy

  • This changes my speak break plans :o) To Jersey!

  • The best hotdog I have ever eaten. I used to eat there once a week.

  • Love my Jimmy Buffs dogs!!!!!

  • the food channel went across the u.s.a. testing hot dogs and rated these the best.

  • holy shit im so hungry now

  • that looks so good. How is that pizza bread made? I've got some ideas for a healthier version (but still maintaining the great taste) of the Italian Hot Dog. Too bad that I can't get them here in the Carolinas!!

  • @SopranosFan777 KEEP YOUR RED NECK CAROLINA HOTDOGS TO YOU SELF. US HERE IN JERSEY LIKE IT HOW IT IS, WERE ALREADY IN RECESSION.

  • Dickee Dee's is better!

  • the jimmy buffs in east hanover is the awesome.jimmy buffs has the best hot dogs ever so shut up

  • The Jimmy Buffs in West Orange is 10x better than the East Hanover one...

  • Come to SoCal....please!!

  • I'm with you Gaselyne.....come to So California....we have a "Phillys Best" for the cheese steak sandwiches, now we need an Italian hot dog joint....

  • Hi ukcowgirl, nice to know you like JB's.Yes the West Orange location is still there. You can always smell that distinct aroma. These are the BEST Italian hot dogs you'll ever have.

  • obviously you've never had an italian hot dog

  • FUCK CHICAGO! and your fuckin lettuce, tomato and celery seed shit on a dog. jimmy buffs serves the best hot dog ever!

  • they guy at 2:04 should not be eating anything the is deep fried in anything.

  • The one in Scotch Plains is just as good...great dogs!

  • I made some of these a while back. The thing I couldn't make though was the pizza bread. So I stuffed the ingredients into a loaf of Italian bread cut in half. It turned out pretty good. Delicious.

  • is the one in scotch plains just as good?

  • west orange kid in s.cal for 22 years still miss Jimmy Buffs

  • hey, i am a jersey girl in england and my mouth is watering, just thinking about a jimmy buff's. don't forget about the one in west orange, or is that gone now? we could sometimes smell them at washington school. mmmmmmmmmm, goood!!!!!

  • Jimmy Buff is a lowlife piece of crap. The hot dogs are good but the founder's grandson? What goes around comes around, asshole.

  • I wish I were there. I am a true Jersey Girl and KNOWS what it is like to eat an italian hotdog. Nothing like it!

  • Oh man. My mouth is watering after watching that video. I HAVE to try one of these!

  • Love Jimmy Buff's...used to hang in the one in West Orange! YUMMY!!!!

  • @pattygoody Are you kidding, west orange that ghetto ass town. HELL No, I used to work there and there was always mouses in the kitchen. Sometimes they got in the food to, but old jim said to just keep it going.

  • @Joeiscool24 - Are YOU kidding? What years are you talking about? I'm talking 1970-1971...you talking the same era?

  • @pattygoody Im talking about 1970s to. I worked for him for about 6 and a half years till I quit in 1975. But yea he wasnt that rich and he said " Mouses dont scare food" he was funny, but now I DONT THINK they have rats and mice all over the food. Anyway we use to deep fry all this crap so the germs probably burned. Im just saying personally I never ate the food for that reason, But now I eat it sometimes.
