  • i wanst getting it so like a nerd i watched it over and over again and this is what i got. i copied your hand movements as hard as i could for the d major. i then started like i always do make up stories about what i saw and this is what i got. there are girl foxes in a den and they need to get to their bf house in the other den. but they are wearing expensive shoes. so they have to use the c# as something to land on over the mud and once again on the g# cause its the door step. like the show!

  • @dssuki

If you have watched lessons 1 and 2 you would have recognized the notes. Remember 2 black and 3 blacks pattern?

    Keep it up Andrew;) 5/5

  • i agree with dssuski i try to to the song but you just dont tell us what to press everthing else is great :)

  • great teacher!!!

    I'm just beginning learning,

not alone cause you are telling me how does it plays.

much thank you for your free and great lessons! just continue doing it!

  • Andrew, I am very much enjoying your lessons, but it would be great it when you are showing us how to play specific little tunes it would be great if you would tell us what the keys are. I keep watching your fingers trying to see where you are putting them on the keyboard, but this is very hard. You really do need to mention the keys when you are demonstrating. Besides that, your videos are great!!!

  • dude i just started your lessons and there so easy so far, i took piano class my senior year and it was never this easy, but i only watched lessons one and two and im trying to get to three but it wont play, help? lol

  • "if you've ever turned a doorknob which I think you have..."

    lmao

  • lool can yhoo tell me what lesson i should be at? im only a beginner and im on book 3 of thompsons easiest piano learning thanks

  • Woohooo *I love your expression* I just learn broken chord but sometime I can't hear what your saying.

  • I've had a piano forever and I just now wanted to learn how to master it.

Your lessons help me a lot.

I got this far in one day and played almost all of it perfectly.

  • Hi! It is wonderful when I can play piano. I have never used piano before, and I also didnot know anything about chords, notes, semi-tone or something like that. Thanks so much!

  • you're welcome ^_^

  • Hi I play piano with without lessons, I enjoy your videos as I can pick up some tips to improve my playing, but one thing when you're explaining the Mnemonic you said ends battle and you hit the F and C notes was that intentional? Did you mean to hit the E and B?

sorry to be picky just have to know lol

By the way thanks for the videos :)

  • I think he did mean to hit the F and the C because those are the sharps for the E and the B.

  • ah thought so don't mean to be picky

    just had to ask lol:D

  • does the pianist really need long fingers? just asking my fingers arent that long.... anyway, thanks for all the effort for this... these lessons really help me! :)

  • you don't' NEED long fingers :) if you can reach from 1 C to another C (that's called one octave) if you can reach that far you can play almost anything :)

  • I can reach 13 keys with my fingers (from C to the next G) :P:P:P and I'm only 13 years old ^^

  • are you talking about a keyboard, and including all the black notes? otherwise you're a freak of nature in a nice way ;)

  • In fact, I was counting on a smaller keyboard with smaller keys. I bought a biiiig Delson this Easter and I can clearly press 11 keys, without touching any others. And, counting the black keys, there are 17 in total :P:P But it's not that hard, with a little basketball training you can easily grow up a lot, especially when you're young. I grew up 20cm in 2 years (I am 1.67 now). Btw, I'm not 13 any more. My birthday is on 6th of May. Wee I'll get an identity card now :D:D

  • I decided to play piano at 46 y of age and this is to thank you so much for your videos in less than a month I have progress a lot, my tutor thinks I am a genius..hahaha....it is YouTube - Lypur Genius!, Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and skills!

  • thanx for the lessons they're really helping me alot!! :D

  • I like how you play slow enough for an old man to see what you are doing. thank you

  • U ROCK!

  • lol you're soo funny!

  • Funny, enetertaining and educational.. thanx im really learning

  • the door joke is funny... for me hahaha...

anyway i been watching ur lesson and it help me out a lots thanks hehe

  • lol i'm glad some people find me funny;) you're welcome

  • Helps alot! Thanks for posting the lessons, I'll keep watching :]

  • the 4 note chords need some inversions with like 1 2 4 5 soo if you're used to 3...it would be much harder for you. so in the long run 125 is better

  • Very helpful guide ^^

But, cause I gonna learn to play with your lessons, I have a question to this course:

Whats the disadvantage when I do the 2nd Inversion with 1,3,5 instead of 1,2,5? Is that important in any way in future or can I form a habit of doing it 1,3,5?

  • Sorry, mean the 1st Inversion (on right hand).

    The E,G,C-Thing

  • yea, the reason you switch to 1 2 5 in the inversion is because, 3 note chords are just what you start out doing. If you're going to go higher in piano, you'll evenually need to play 4-note chords, which would be CEGC then EGCE then GCEG then CEGC...so if you play with 135 and then switch to 125 you're hand is already used to using the 2nd finger on that inversion.

  • Jap, thanks. I expected such a reason, but your accurate explanation is better ^^

  • Thanks for your time and effort, we appreciate it. Learnt alot and hope you keep goin, how bout teching us some nice song like "ill be waiting right here" by richard marx"..

  • u sound like one big weakling

  • so what would you say you sound like?

  • is this right..if the black key is on the right of the white key its a sharp..if its on the left of a white key its a flat

  • you've got it

  • hey thankz man, these videos have helped me alot.

much easier to understand then books :)
