How to install & patch Ableton Live 8.1.1 -COMPLETE- {UPDATED!}

i get to the part were you have to drag the .auz file into live 8.1.1.exe and it pops up with a blank live message box and my only option is ok. what'd i do wrong?

@sirdoob I'm not sure what's going on there. Try re-doing everything from step 1 (including re-downloading the torrent, etc) and if it happens again let me know.

as soon as i uncheck at 2:20 my computer wont pen the file to change the name, it says could not find kcmouse.mfc! and then my computer blocks a trojan virus help???

@DriveByDragonSlayer Sorry for the late reply; the unchecking is simply to edit the extension; you can use third-party apps to do this if the computer doesn't want to do it for you. Also, the false positives are to be expected with a patch, its the way the patch was made that makes virus scanners think their harmful. Their not, read the comments for proof ^^

I need help frm 2;26 on. On this part of the video there are two screens.The left one looks familiar but the one to the right i have know clue how to get to that screen. Any help plz

@DJEst1990 The left screen is the extracted files from the RAR Archive; the Right screen is the actual program files in the Ableton install folder. Simply rename Live.exe from the extracted archive to 'Live 8.1.1.exe' and copy it to the actual program's files, and click 'Yes' to any prompts asking if you'd like to over-write the files. From then on it's pretty straight forward and I'm running out of characters to explain this; Good luck mate.

@AlexYorkville Its in there, its just that you need to right click on the patch and extract. This is where everyone is getting confused. it looks like a straight up patch but its not. it is a zipped file.
