Wow. What a stellar performance of this beautiful song. Your passion for music exudes from every musical phrase. You are truly gifted. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.
as for your "backup dancers", er... are they your parents? he he. i remember my mom every time i hear this song... she LOOOOVES it! I was only 2 yrs old when this song became famous here in the Philippines. And when Donna Summer came out with her disco version, I was around 10. Again, this is just a GREAT song. Thanks again for your version which I won't get tired of listening to. :)
Hi! Can't get enough of you, man! I found myself listening to your version more than 7 times today! Don't you have any other video? I think you should do "Without Her" by Harry Nilsson. Think you'll do a great version of that, too, what with THAT voice... Sigh...I think I'm fallin'.... JOKE!
Great version man! It's like listening to the original combined with Ferrante & Teicher!!! (or is it just me). You sure could melt a lot of hearts with your playing and your voice... This is a great fan from the Philippines. Thanks for the music.
Very nice version of the song . SOunds like you're also using possibly the sound for the instrumentals from the original Harris record with his singing taken out for the fill in background . It seems to me that you can faintly hear Harris hitting the last notes at the end of your performance .If so, where would I be able to get it
I want desperately to agree with you, but Dusty Springifeld's WINDMILLS OF YOUR MIND and Mary Hopkin's THOSE WERE THE DAYS MY FRIEND keep hanging me up in the tears stage...
I first listened to this song in 1968, I loved it then. I love it more now. It is the tale of humanity and it's fall. They ried the false love and it failed. They will not give up that impossible dream. I pray we learn true love again before I die.
Any one who knows a little something about music knows that this was and still is one hell of a song. Some Producers should sound track it to a totally 2008-9 new motion picture.
I am near 60 years old and remember this song when it first came out. I loved it then and even more son now as it brings me back to a carefree time that young people today will not experience. This young man done an excellent rendition of this song. I WOULD love to hear of any other songs he has done.
WOW!!!Excellant!I first heard this classic on AM radio back in '68,and later my mom bought the LP by Richard Harris.I was only eleven at the time, and can still remember seeing harris perform this song on T.V.You however, get a standing ovation for a fantasic job on keyboards.I only wish I was there to sing the entire song as well.

Those still seeking an ever-ascending curve could do worse than to study "MacArthur Park."

Rick,
This is one of the most difficult songs too perform. You play it masterfully.
As you see by my screename.
It's quite a personal song for me, and I've heard many renditions. Yours is brilliant, well timed, excellent!
Thank you for your genius

Nope, that's totally a MIDI arrangement in the background. That is a combination of patches called "choir ahhs" and "voice oohs" you hear at the end.
