  • fischer cried when he lost to spassky!

  • In regards to Fischers' racist comments, I view Fischer in the same way I think of Clinton. They both may have had questionable personal lives (outside their professions) but both were great at what they did, so as long as they were top notch in those areas, Fischer with Chess and Clinton as President, any of their personal problems really should be overlooked.

  • Read the book "End Game" it is a great book and goes in to great detail about this match.

  • See...

    iamthewitness.c o m

  • ahhhhhhhhhh hahahaha alexander cockburn ahahahaha immature i know ;)

  • I love You Bobby. I hope one day I will visit your resting place.

  • Spassky lost because he's circumcised. "Lost my nerves...." pfffffffffff, he literally lost the most sensitive nerves of his body!!! That's what you get when you circumcise. Fucking child mutilating bastards ought to be hung!!

  • @gingowitch I'm Pro life I mean a foreskin is a life and should have rights. We need more people like you saying what needs to be said.

  • He's a genius for speaking out against circumcision.

  • What is the name of the russian player in 4:49

  • That's one of the most difficult to beat players ever, Michail Tal. He was usually winning against Fischer. People say that he hypnotized his opponents just with his very look.

  • Hey, thanks for replying, I totally agree with you, his look and especially when he smiled like in the video would absolutely irritate and distract his opponent.

  • His winning strategy was to confuse his opponents with complex and difficult to calculate combinations. Usually not accurate playing (there was a winning defence but who could really find it ??) he won games just because his opponents couldn't find the right answer to his sharp moves. Later, his secret was clarified, and he began to loose against strong opponents.

  • Thanks for the very valuable information. I am a big fan of Fischer but you can't help admiring the attacking style of Tal which made him one of the greatest chess players.

  • I also believe that Fischer was the greatest, and there will be never again such a great player on the World. Geniuses like Kramnik, Anand or even Carlsen, have only a fraction of Fischer's skill level. Fischer was a continuous researcher, never stopped learning and discovering, until his early death in 2008.

  • A travel I would do in my life is to Island, to visit Fischer's beloved places, and of course his grave, where I will place 64 flowers, one for every year he lived and made chess better, one for every chess square too. I can't stop hating people's reaction to him and his ideas, but it's usual by artists, to be fully recognized only after their death.

  • @ppantazis Tal was probably the best player at that time, in 1962 he got one kidney removed, so from that year he played with probably 60 % strength and god knows what would happened if he was with normal health. Its not true that his style was "aggressive" beyond the limits all the time, patience was his problem :). Tal still holds the unbeaten record, i think he played 3 years without losing a game if i remember well. Tal and Ficher popularized the chess more then any player in history

  • He is Mikhail Tal, world champion 1960-61 He died in 1992.

  • @telmas ...I remember being at the '92 World Open in Philly, when I heard about Tals' passing. A very sad day.........

  • Capablanca would have eaten him alive

  • Bolsheviks did one good thing.

Chess is the best game in the world.

  • Fischer's statements about Jews have been distorted by the journalists besides never had a mental illness because of their genius to interpret life in its own way

  • 1 fischer 2 alekhine 3 capablanca 4 petrosian 5 spasski 6 morphy 7 karpov 8 kasparov 9 tal 10 botvinnik

  • Robert James Fischer the greatest chess player in history ever take drugs like many American athletes demolished Bent Larsen Mark Taimanov win the world title by defeating Spassky 2700 elo

  • Alexander "Cockburn" lmao funny

  • Incidently Spassky became world champion after defeating Petrosian in 1969, not 1970.

  • Ayn Rand wrote an interesting essay regarding this match called "An Open Letter to Boris Spassky"

"Because your leaders of your coutry have proclaimedthis championship match to be an ideological issue...between Russia and America, I am rooting for Bobby to win-as are all my friends...

...Fischers behavior mars the symbolism...He throws tantrums like a child, breaks agreements, makes arbitrary demands an engages in behavior that would disqualify him in a high school tournament."

  • For those w/ misguided notions about Bobby Fischer, learn more - start w/ "Bobby Fischer Goes to War", by David Edmonds & John Eidinow. Brilliant chess player? Certainly. But also paranoid schizophrenic, insane, & a menace. Also investigate his 'post-911' anti-US rant. He was extremely anti-Semitic, despite being 1/2 Jewish. Don't lavish praise out of ignorance - an embarassment to the U.S., so much so that Henry Kissinger had to intervene personally to suggest he behave.

  • He was actually the product of two Jewish people, making him full blooded semite. not half.

  • Thanks to all the videos, one can get to know a lot about Bobby Fischer. I have been admiring Kasparov for a long time, but after seeing all these videos i am more of a Fischer fan. Imagine the Psychological pressure he would have to face taking on the Soviets. USA should FOREVER thank Bobby Fischer for having trounced the Soviets , all alone. Bobby might have done it in his own interest. It just happened that his mother moved to USA, which proved to be USA's gain.

  • Who fucking cares what religion he is? What does that have to do with chess?

  • Rob, His religion had more to do with his anti-semantic rants than his chess playing.

  • the use of the beach boys as bobby's theme throughout the series is brilliant

  • the greatest but he was wrong

  • why was he wrong, cuz he was different

  • ROBERT JAMES FISCHER 1 - THE EVIL EMPIRE 0! HAHHAHAAH THE GREATEST TRUE LIFE MOMENT EVER!!!

5 stars!! ROFL! Fischer goes Rambo and whacks every Red Russian bandit!!! RIP Fischer you did it. Cold war !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I don't know about Spassky but Bobby was a jew.

  • Bobby Fisher: "When I play black I don't know, but when I play white I play at least equal against God."

The greatest man in sport and truelly visionair politician is come to an end. When the dollar falls and another millions have to die for the Jewish Banquers of Wallstreet, till than I say: listen carefully to Bobby Fisher!

    Einstein - Newton - Fischer

    With all my heart I play e2 - e4!

    YouTubeJockey(g) - Disgo

  • Spassky is genetically jewish he is half jewish.

  • What Fischer was saying about the Russians is true, it's not paranoia. The Russians did cheat in this way.

  • But ethnically he is part Jewish.

  • kasparov w ouldnt have stood a chance against fischer is his prime they needed a programm a scheme of GM to beat fischer

  • As kooky as I think Fisher is I have to agree with him that chess is dead.

  • Equal basis? what equal basis? Fischer was a ONE-MAN-GENIUS...SELF-MADE (hehe...winks)

  • fischer in his prime and ksparov in his prime i'll take kasparov 10 out of 10 times kasparov is just to good!! Look at the stats fishcer doesnt even compare!

  • Name the masters helping Fischer to prepare

Name the masters helping Kasparov to prepare

Name the chess programmes of Fischers epoch

Fisher was BRILLIANT - give him Kasparovs environement (which you cant) and then well argue on an equal basis

  • The whole interview of the bench interview would be great to see in it's entirety. Would be great if someone could gather that from somewhere.

  • Kasparov does what he can,Fischer does what he must.Simply the best

  • fischer never lies, he just makes weird conclusions wich have obvious reasons considering the things he experienced in the past. the fact him being to rational made him hard to deal with considering human beings are irrational by nature. chess is a great and objective way to make the right descision without other peoples feelings being hurt. a move is good or its not. to bad humans are not capable of that same approach when it comes to isseus taunting other peoples believe.

  • can anyone locate Fischer's video from "The Dick Cavett Show"

  • Great question, can someone locate that video?

  • Good question, but also he appeared on the 'Dinah Shore Show" as well...where is this clip too??

  • spassky is great. he's also awesome for doing his own thing and not being a tool and Fischer is awesome for being such a personality long live the special lol

  • This is great, thanks.

  • great video about one of the greates player still alive I hac-ve had the chance and priviledge to play both spasski and fisher I lost both to them

  • At least this clears up the air that the Russians were indeed colluding (in lay terms "cheating") as confirmed by Viktor Baturninsky, Head of Chess Soviet Sports Committee. Fisher had the unique perception to daringly point it out.

  • The best there ever was.

  • Kasparov can kick fischer so easily. Thanx for the video

  • Robert James Fischer -world's greatest chess player

  • Very interesting.Thank you for posting!
