Maybe its a loose screw that is rubbing against the plastic well. It doesn't sound mechanical in nature, just an older car with a general maintenence issue. Your going to need to unscrew that thing at rev it up and watch it. Geez Tommy when your planes sound like that, you don't seem to complain about it!
i would have to agree. it sounds to me like a loose screw or some sort of vibration
