@Kaagh178 i do remember the Doctor mentioning he had a brother. mind you let us not forget rule #1 the Doctor lies. i really think it'd diminish it is the Doctor and the Mater were literal as oppsoed to metaphorical brothers ying and yang and all that. if they were brothers you could attirbute some fot he animosity to sibling rivalry but if they were as is established best friends its more interesting to see how that friendship was tainted
