Scammers often use the Christian thing as a front. They feel people will be more trusting to someone who is christian. Alot of the other MLM zombies use phrases like god bless, or have a blessed day. They target military and people of authority for the same thing. Doctor, nurses, police you name it. If it buys you some ethical currency they exploit it.

A lot of MLM schemes have a similarity to faith healing.

In faith healing, anyone who doesn't get healed is blamed for having weak faith.

In MLM, those who are unable to make money off it (which is always impossible unless you rip off others) are blamed for not having "faith in the product" or for not working hard enough. It's never ever the fault of the pyra..eh MLM business.

Also Amway and such meetings are almost copies of christian revival meetings.

I'm a Christian and I've been approached by those scams too. And they're not Christian. Christian means "Christ-like". And Jesus wouldn't scam people. They'll have to answer to God about their evil, blasphemous deeds.

Where did you hear that Christians say science is evil? you've got some bad info dude. Science supports Bible principles and the Bible is scientific, you wouldn't know that until you read it.

Well some christians seem to find that science rather evil. Not all I agree there are actually christians who are scientist. And quite able to make the distinctions there.

There is one issue with your comment the bible is not scientific.

For it to become scientific it needs to be test, it needs to have a hypothesis, anti thesis and it has to be put through the scientific process that attacks it.

The bible stands no chance.

It is a historical book yes but it is obvious the stories are a bit changed over time. Many are rehashed story of earlier religions. And these stories are used again in the bible! Nothing wrong with that but this means and definitely will all changes made.. that it is required to do more research to find any truth.

And really if the bible had science why was it the church that stopped science for so long? Why didn't the bible teach people about hygiene >>

@masticina have you read let alone studied the bible. Did you know that if a women is pregnant to a boy the testosterone levels are high therefore are less likely to get pregnant after having the baby, however if a women gives birth to a girl her oestrogen levels are higher therefore more likely to get pregnant after giving birth. Yet over 2000 years ago the bible tells us not to have sex after pregnancy longer if the baby was a girl. Thats just one of the small examples of science in the bible.

Folks Medicine yes isn't it lovely! Learned by utter experience and well is is slightly scientific, I say slightly. It at least is based upon experience and obvious it's nature of knowledge is due to experience. Not because it is written but because it is experienced.

That and lets be fair people lived far before the bible was written by men. Again it is a decent book and has lessons.. but it isn't scientific. Because it doesn't allows for the scientific method.

If the church wasn't in power and science was allowed to progress .. then we would much earlier have found cures for instance from the black plague. Or many other diseases, we would have found ways to grow crop better much earlier ensuring less hunger winters.

In the end reality is that the church was an enemy of science. Because they felt once people began to learn the "how" the mystery was gone. And without the mystery the blind belief.
