  • The best part is eating the tip of the chicken they covered... Btw awesome recipe...

  • Looks awesome, I'm gonna try it out.... Thanks for the recipe

  • Well it "tends" to flare up cause there is aerosol powering the spraycan that you have in your hand, it says clearly you spray before you heat you dumbasses you can blow the can up in your face.

  • Tandoori chicken traditionally served with pickled onion. U got to be kidding me, Tandoori Chicken is a Indian Dish, & I live in India.& I am telling u, they dont know nothing what tradition is. & there Tandoori chicken recipe is also very different from traditional way.

  • OMG that looks amazing... :O *drool*

  • Damn you guys this video is simply showing you ONE recipe of Tandoori chicken. It doesn't say this is the ONLY way to prepare it. Everyone has different styles of cooking whatever they're cooking. So please just appreciate the video & stop criticizing them. They're helping !

& as for you people who are saying it's burned, if you ever order Tandoori chicken at a restaurant you will see that some parts of it is indeed charred. NOT burned. Wow.

Thanks for the video btw =)

  • Thanks ladies. You all are also very cute...

  • my heart always burns for like 3 hours after eating this i think im gonnna die when it burns and i cant try to be happy because the heart burn comes over

  • Billu uk

  • you know i watch so many cooking videos on youtube and want to cook it but then i see the ingredients and i'm like fuck that.

  • sweet girlz .nice video thanks friendz

  • I love Indian culture, you both are so pretty.

  • love you gals. Trying this recipe today, nicely marinating now :D

  • your preparation of the marinade is awesome! however, i feel tandoori chicken should only be "baked" in a tandoor and not a barbecue grill. A tandoor exposes the meat to uniform dispersion heat by virtue of convection. The barbecue grill is heat affecting just one side and with much higher intensity... thanks for posting.

  • u guys burned the chicken

  • Hi, This looks great and yummm, quick question would you use a thin yougurt or a thick, my impression of kebabs and tandoori or any drish is to keep the liquids less

  • @supermanbatma

The thicker the yogurt, the better. We were filming outdoors and the temperature watered down our yogurt :I.

    Cheers!

  • @snair55 I Cant believe this idiot posted his phone number in public!!

  • the FLY is embarrassing the video .. LOL !

  • Can I add Saffron to this Tandoori CHicken?

  • food colouring is verry bad for u and is artificial which can lead to health problems in future..it is ban in some countries too

  • @teeoak It's only bad for you if you go over your daily intake by too much, too often.

It's like alchohol. Casual drinking won't destroy your liver, but using it too often, and in too large of a quantity will damage your liver.

  • please what kind of yoghurt is it, just plain or sweetned??

  • @fattie8701 : Plain yogurt.

  • ha ha ha... the short one is fighting the chicken - you dont no how to hold a knife.

  • Thank You to both of you :)

  • hai

i have a microwave with gill/convection can u plz tell me the temperature and time and also the mode in which i should cook tandoori chicken, and chicken tikka some say in grill others in covection plz help

  • Thank you very much ladies. It looks delicious. I will try to make this. I hope it goes well.

  • Hetal are you vegetarian?

  • BLACK Tandoori Chicken ahahahahahhahh :)

  • i will be making this tomorrow. thank u

  • I don't think it looks burned :\ Makes me hungry in fact.

  • burnt to a crisp lolol

  • haha is burnt

  • boggu(coal like ) la undi grilled chicken drumsticks

  • putting 1/4 tsp of anything is pointless.

  • that looks straight up burnt :)

  • THank you guys

  • Will Garam Masala work?

  • @MrDevinbates

Tandoori masala has a little more flavor than plain garam masala. You can use garam masala and add in a little dried mango powder, paprika and salt.

  • is it ok to keep the chicken in fridge overnight? what is the minimum time

  • @mePriyankaDolly : Atleast 2-3 hours. Marinate it in the refrigerator 2 hours or overnight)

  • well burnt chicken

  • that chicken is dry and burnt

  • these chicken look yummy but a little cancerous

  • its so simple & very tasty...thankx for presenting......gud presentation style...

  • That looks a bit burnt to me. :x

  • great video i love it.

  • the one that has long hair I think was vegetarian b/c she didnt want to touch anything and was like WTH evertime the shorter haired person would comment or something. lol

    but i love you guys!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have barbecuing since 1992. This one does look quite dried and and a bit over done. Theres 2 types of marinating, lemon or yoghurt. Yoghurt one does take a lot longer to cook but does taste better and not dried,

  • We would love to get your recipe...the more the merrier!

  • Marinate over night, Barbecue at medium temperature. High temp dries up the chicken. When ready brush or spray with oil & high flame before taking of grill. This does take longer to cook because of the yoghurt. Roughly about 3 times more time.

  • Take enough yoghurt needed for the amount of chicken that you have add a few drops of lemon juice add garlic paste 2 tsp salt to taste red chilli pepper & tandoori masala and what ever spices your heart desires. Add all these spices according to your taste. I never measure. Over the yeard you get experienced how much spices your family takes what quantity you make. Slice/make cuts on the chicken side ways so that the marinate goes deep inside.

  • I couldn't keep watching; the photos enlarging and shrinking made me dizzy... acoustics not too good either. Sorry to critique, but I thought you'd want to know to get/keep viewers b/c I like the info you have to offer.

  • Thank you for your feedback. This was one of our earliest videos so needless to say, it is lacking in production quality. You may want to see some of our newer vids. Hope to keep you as a viewer :).

  • I don't think the other woman is taking over, I think she is just more experienced cook.

  • I am loving Hetal more and more!

  • how do u base it?

  • i like to baste my chicken with beer and remaining spices mixture left over in a bowl. It's so juicy and soft!

  • this other women with the sleeveless shirt, seems like taking over that other girl!

  • @Russin07 I thought it was just me who noticed it. Every time the girl made a comment she always said good point, that right like She is in charge and the other ones still in the learning process.

  • i love your videos!

  • its not cooked my dear cheffs but over cooked.. lol

  • Comment removed

  • Yummm...

    ;)

  • is her name pickle!!!!!!????

  • too much salt in onions but chicken looking good

  • Lmao @ show me the curry. If a white guy said that it would be pretty racist lmao.

  • good recipe, bad video editing, lol

  • AVEC DU RIZ LA !!!!! C'est UN DELICE !

  • Its great and will be tasty but over burned..hahahah even that have good bite

  • Looks great, I'm trying it today with chicken breast!

  • isn't that like a ton of curds???? don't know, though...

  • Show me the CURRY!!!

  • I added balsamic vinegar in addition to all these. the chicken tasted so tender and amazingly delicious!!

  • How come that chicken looks so overdone? Will it taste right?

  • A lot of that darkness is the marinade caramelizing.

  • How is it that the yogurt is so liquid?

  • That Looks Fantastic !!!

  • what is that special rack called that you have the chicken placed on?

  • How do you make lamb curry?

  • wonderful

  • could you use lime juice instead of lemon in the marinade?

  • yes!. haha jk IDK

  • Absolutely!

  • oh no u killed that chicken :) nah jus kidding i love tandoori chicken thanks for the recipe :)

  • that chicken is store bought lol

  • pehle kion nahe bataya

  • hum 6 se zyada paka sakte hai

  • yes, just double or triple the recipe!

  • If you want to try the real tandoori chicken as it is made in India, try out the link in which "Vah Chef" is doing it... just tried it following his instructions.. came out really great...

  • @nopain1114

Perhaps you should stick to commenting on the recipe at hand instead of comparing it with others.. these guys are just as awesome if not better and have posted a gazillion recipes.. Maybe you forgot to notice that..Peace out!

  • i tried his recipie and i find it to be a bit spicy compared to the chicken i have restaurant here

    @nopain1114

  • lady with short hair is funny and has loads of "Good point"s.......lol

  • yummmmmmmmm

  • I have no problem getting my hands dirty when im eating the chicken drumsticks :P

  • lol. Food coloring.

  • That's what i said!

  • the chicken looks burned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Never had a bbq before have you?! lol

  • The blackness is the natural sugars from the different things in the baste and marinade caramelizing. It is not burnt, just tasty! :)

  • if u using tandoori masala no need 2 more masaley only need ginger n garlic paste...

  • didnot taste like tandoori..

  • Two cooks spoil the Tandoori!!

  • u guys r soo amazingly and conveniently practical...!!!

  • Yogurt should be thick:should absorb extra yogurt water in kitchen tissue and then add specified ingredients(it helps chicken absorb maximum flavour of marinate)

marinate remains should be used for basting.

  • you should use leg quarters - the presentation is significantly better

  • good job.I picked up some tips from here.

  • Hello, how can u download this youtube recepe?

    PLs kindly reply

  • Use Orbit downloader or Flashget downloader

    in orbit use Grab++

for these free softwares please google

    ok I blv I cud help u

    bye

  • Yes. Use orbit software. It's a freeware

  • I have it marinading right now, will cook tomorrow. marinade did not taste right to me but i really didn't know how to tweak it. i can cook a nice traditional bbq chicken and i plan to use some of those techniques when cooking this chicken - such as adding olive oil to the marinade and just basting with that. fingers crossed. has anyone out there found ways to tweak this recipe? writing a recipe for 6 pieces of chicken seems silly, who would go through all this hassle for 6 pieces of chicken?

  • I love Indian food. I'm a spicy food addict.

  • Two Points:-

    1. I think it looks way too-too-too over cooked.

    2. Why couldn't she use the left-over marinade for basting?

    Otherwise, just OK.

    IJM

  • I agree I would have used the left over marinade to baste, rather than making the additional basting. Thats what I do anyway!

  • you should direct you compassion toward people animals are delicious food.

  • Mmm maybe you shouldn't watch this recipe if you are a vegy! It's upto individuals if they eat meat!

  • i dont get it..a vegetarian looking for a tandoori chicken recipe.. that just makes no sense at all..we love our meatt =) (ccoked ones of course)

  • Really nice job. I am cooking Biryani right now for the first time. I hope it works out, if not, then tandoori chicken here I come. :-)

  • yummy.. im hungry.. good point..

  • ver good job, keep it up

  • Nice video....Do you ever make with breasts or thighs? Save me a piece:)

  • Yes, you can use Chicken breasts and thighs as well. The presentation with drumsticks is awesome and that is why we used it.

Keep in mind that of you are using chicken brests, baste it more often and make sure it does not dry out. Also, the cook a lot faster than thighs and drumsticks.

  • Thanks, I made it with boneless thighs yesterday on my charcoal grill. It was great! Even the wife had some and liked it. Can't wait to do it again. You two are the best!

  • sounds like you should have married an indian woman hehe

  • Yea, then she could show me her curry!!

  • thankz for gave nice recipe

  • they are depending upon the ziplock more...i wod never do that..i wod prefer a big bowl to do that....she almost teared the ziplock...so dont try this with ziplock or u'll loose ur apetite and lunch!!!!

  • i dont see any problem with using ziplock. this is actually a good method for marination.

  • Hi great presentation and recipes easy to follow

along with the color of the chicken gives you a clue to its taste and those look mouth watering

both of you have lovely personalities continued

success thanks for taking the time out to do these

  • As i saw video, very well done and make me hungry.Without onion and green chilli and only chicken will be a enough for me.

  • you might want to spray the grill before heating it ie on a cold grill and then heat..that way there won't be any flare-ups and the food won't stick to it

  • Thanks for mentioning that - it is another good option! We did spray at an angle and only on the grill and not at the fire, unfortunately, it is not very obvious in the video.

  • the mariande is too watery....if you go for traditional recipes it does tell you to use "hanged-curd" which means the water has been drained out...i m not too paranoid about food color....a pinch of it wudnt hurt and you dont eat tandoori's everyday....the joys of flavour enhances with the colors u see around!!!!!

  • You are right...when possible, it is best to hang the yogurt. We, unfortunately, were shooting the video in 100+ weather and by the time we got to the marinade...yes, it just bacame watery:-(!

    Thanks for explaining about 'hung-curd'

  • Your video was very nicely done. I will be trying your recipe! I will eliminate the red food coloring, as I think the chicken & the onions will be beautiful without it. Also, may I suggest that you use fresh lemon juice instead of the bottled? I am looking forward to seeing your other videos & visiting your website. I already visited your 101 on spices. I am hugely interested in Indian cooking, have many whole & ground spices & have one of Madhur Jaffrey's cookbooks. Thank you!

  • Thank you so much! Definitely, using fresh ingredients is always best and the food coloring is absolutely optional. Good luck!

  • seems good recipe..i'm going to try this out..today itself..thankx for the team

  • Your marinade is very watery. You dont have to add so much of watery yogurt or your masala will not stick. Add some oil in your marinade to keep the chicken moist during and after cooking. And please, dont encourage artificial food colouring and additional salt. Food colouring is very bad for health (in UK its ban). Tandoori chicken does not have to be red. You'll never see tandoori chicken in India to be red in colour.

  • Mmmm...
