@greenerize this is PC. conquest maps in PC have 2 jets per side, 1 attack helicopter, 1 transport helicopter. Rush maps in PC still only have 1 jet per side though. Maybe you need to play conquest maps?

I personally prefer Stealth for practical immunity to lock-on missiles, but to each their own. It's also possible to fire two salvos of rockets onto one target if you're accurate and start far enough away.

Ok I have noticed that some jets like the super flanker have a really weak cannon vs ground units, is it intentional that some jets are weaker than others?

@jedi1ryan The attack jets(thunderbolt/frogfoot) have much much stronger cannons than the Flanker. this is by design, the jets in rush mode(attack jets) are much more deadly than the ones in conquest mode.

You don't get "stuck" you Stall....

@malcolmx117 No you don't, maybe they patched it, but the way it was, if you flew directly up, you would get stuck in the flight ceiling. Stall implies you would lose thrust and immediately start to fall. That's not what was happening, I would fly up, the plane would stop and I wouldn't lose altitude, it would just sit there almost frozen for up to five seconds and then you start to fall directly down. It didn't work as smoothly as you imply.

In a way, disabling a vehicle is not a threat eliminated, it just is a delay, and until an engineer can get on it, it is just turned into a stationary AT, so disabling is just delaying the enemy longer.

This problem is only relevant on rush maps that feature planes, the aircraft on the rush maps have stronger guns, and there is next to no AA on the maps to deal with them.

gonna go ahead and assume you realize that the flight "ceiling" you are referring to is you stalling the aircraft? they are planes, not rocket ships, they aren't meant to fly straight up indefinitely

@chineseviking It's not really stalling though, you sorta get stuck in the sky like your driving into ever thickening jello. You just kinda stop, but you don't fall right away you just are like almost dead stopped until it manages to get loose and start falling. It's very unnatural and the ceiling is different on all the maps, seems more like a balance implementation as the lower the ceiling the less effective the jets are.

Heat seekers dont have any air-to-air capabilities in the first place. They take way too long to lock on and when they do they still have their flares up. By the time youve finally locked onto an enemy jet you couldve shot it down 10 times by just using the main cannon.

Can you make a video on the effectiveness of the jets ATG missiles? I've been using them since unlocking them because I don't need to commit to a vehicle as much as the rocket pods. Plus, I can quickly fire from altitude, then forget it and evade missiles/jets. Also, embarrassingly, because I've died more to thin, hard to see poles and other objects when diving for a rocket pod run than to other players killing me. I tend to get tunnel vision and a bit greedy and stick to the dive too long.

Why do you choose flares over the fire extinguisher? You can take 2 missles and use the fire extinguisher which serves the same purpose as the flares. You can also heal from low health from getting shot and can stay in the air much longer.

It's not server lag that causes the shaking, it's air turbulence as a game feature. This is why it also has sound effects for it's occurrences and animations.
