    Thanks!

  • @IMAP3 try smoke CDs NZ

  • @arobinsonnz,

Um, not on iTunes. If it were, I wouldn't ask where I could get it....

If you can get it through iTunes - let me know. It may be a function of the way Apple manages rights (I have a US based account).

    Thanks.

  • Yes! This song was quite popular in Indonesia on 1994/1995. And yes, this song was also what made me interested in funk genre. Great song indeed :)

  • fyi the album 'traction' was gold-certified in indonesia, which is a rare thing for a then-obscure band. thanks supergroove for exposing me to funk and leaving me hanging, you beasts. f*ck pre-internet distribution channel.

  • I miss my pager!

  • LOL the voice! Sounds like ol' Burtros from the afternoon show on the Rock.

  • this movie is used in the intro of Superad wasent it?

  • thanks to those who say good things about this song and kiwi music :D Yes there are some good songs / artists out there like Dane Rumble, Stan Walker ,who in fact is both Australian and Kiwi but thats for Stan Walker, Scribe, JT Williams (but thats for the artists) ... • @5342abc

No its not...but I believe its the voice of the TVNZ continuity announcer of the time, hence why the voice is so familiar

  • @5342abc I think it sounds like Robert from the rock.

  • @MoreFunThanWar

  • @EricMcRae76

Australia only wishes they had bands as awesome as the bands here. :P

  • @TheMisodoctakleidist no need to wish when all the kiwis move here anyway :P

you should know as australians we claim everyone as our own once they become popular. its less work than actually producing our own talent.....unless they have been on neighbours or home and away first hahahahaha

  • @EricMcRae76

The Cat Empire are an EXCELLENT Aussie band. Just sayin'. And yeah, an actor hits the big time in NZ once they've been on Shortland Street hahaha

  • @MoreFunThanWar they were definitely a band before their time. Disbanded too early!

  • @MoreFunThanWar thats true dude i 100% agree with you they just seemed to go downhill when Che left leaving Carl to take the lead..... so their music went in a totally different direction........ example after the album "traction" it got wierd the sound just wasnt the same....... but still i do agree with you. just putting my 5c in

  • whare r they now..there r cool...

  • SUPERGROOVE

    AUCKLAND CITY

  • I met some of these guys when they were signing stuff at a record shop in Wellington, when they were unknowns, and they were very cool and friendly. They just look like they have so much fun when they play together, and they were equally acting the goat at the record shop in Manners Mall.

  • I remember hearing this when I was 6 or 7-loved it then, still love it now!!!

  • what happenened 2 this band?,Ive remembered them occasionly through the years=)

  • Check Wikipedia. They split up in 1997 but reformed in 2007, and they've played quite a lot of gigs since.

  • Wikipedia isn't always right though, anyone can make an account and put shit up there

  • cant get up

  • Concert in Auckland Sept 5 ft Scribe, Hollie Smith & Gin.

  • Does anyone know what happened to Supergroove? I saw these guys live in Whangerei in about 1997 or 98 and they Fucking rocked, perhaps one of the best dance live bands Ive ever seen, I live in the States now but I would travel anywhere here in the US to see these guys - Where are they now?

  • well they did an nz tour last year, i saw them for free at the hamilton v8s concert because some rellys had tickets but only wanted to see the racing. kora played aswell and it was awsome!

  • Yup. Che Fu went out on his own. The rest i don't.GOOD KIWI MUSIC!! Yeah baby....

  • Great band great song. It's good to see them back together after so long. I just hope they release some new tracks.

  • freaking awesome song

  • Yoko... ONO!!

  • Supergroove...What can I say...They're too good.

  • just saw them live. was an amazig show.

  • Dear lorenb, did you say you just saw them live? did they get back together?

  • yeah they did haha

  • Yea

isn't that Robert Taylor not Mark Perry ???

"Having an abundance of plutonic relationships...Reminiscent of my man Mike Plato"

  • Wow,

it took me back to the 90's when i used to go to 'A saco' disco in Barcelona... We all there were waiting for this song to start jumping as crazies...

The way they sing: 'can't get enough, can't get enough of you' sounds for an Spanish (after many beers and other things) like 'chaqueta, chatetazo', that translated is something like: 'jacket, hit with jacket', so one day we took our jackets and start hitting people in the disco with them while this song was playing.

    Crazy days...

  • this band totally rocks and is awesome live...a true taste a kiwi music...che che

  • wooh baritone! best instrument ever. the lead singer also sounds like the red hot chillis singer... they are still a good band though

  • Would love to see "If I Had My Way" again. Who can supply?

  • they might be about to tour Australia... do they have many fans here?

  • from what I've seen, they have tonnes of aussie fans, and I for one can't wait to see them live (was too young last time they were here -and- I had the money to go)

  • Live at Waikato University Friday, they were sick!.

  • Who was the newsreader that appeared sampled in the middle - I remember the voice from the early 1990s...

  • Wasn't it Bob Gentle?

  • I thought it was Peter Sinclair?

  • Its Robert Taylor off the Rock

  • Mark Perry from Hauraki!

  • Whoever he is, he's the old V/o guy from Channel 2 who now does the voiceovers for the Living Channel.

  • Mark Perry from Hauraki. He does all the great voice overs.

  • Are you sure? I remember the voice over guy used to be the 'continuity announcer' on TVNZ, I though tis name was Nick or Mike. Definitely not Selwyn Toogood as other posts believe. His voice is great. Do you know if Supergroove were a manufactured band, I don't want to sound conspiracy theory but they did lad the Munchos ad & the music & lyrics sem incredible for guys so young. Even if they were whoever were the talents behind this group produced wonderful music & memories

  • Cant wait to see this live

  • man o man i really wanna go to da bdo now

  • Big Day Out is going to be sick.
