  • Beautiful song. I have at home album called Indian Music and this song (this version) is on it. I am fascinated by Indian music and culture, I read all the books about Native Americans, a book, Winnetou I read a couple of times and cried each time at work where Winnetou dies. Receive a greeting from the Croatia!

  • ... shaa ninánóh'aah (you give it back to me)

... Yé'iitsoh jinínáá léi' (... The Giant says again & again...)

    ... ninánóh'aah (...give it back)

  • Sounds beautiful.. It's sad. A whole race slaughtered by those blood thirsty demons..

  • la sigo escuchando y me sigue gustando, gracias por subirla, no entiendo nada pero la pureza de la interpretación dice todo.

  • My god its beautiful ey!!! It makes me cry!!! xx

  • most beautiful song ever. Ever.

  • - one of my favorite songs to listen to on any given day. :)

  • why the heck i see people arguing about economy on this vid... ? i use to sing this song often to my cat.

  • One of my favorites <3 Love it too <3 and the words talks to the soul anyway <3

  • Great song. There are many on this CD.

Dont really care too much about the fantacy pictures...I like to see real human faces.

  • I'm with you. I love this song.

  • Please--find a firm you trust and ask them to duplicate the translation. (I was definitely hoping for something more pithy than what was returned to me.) For myself, I'm just going to enjoy the sound...which is uplifting and healing all on its own, without intellectual meaning..

  • eso de halahala neei neeei halahala neeei neeei

  • son una porqueriaaa!!!

  • uuuuuuh no saben que escuchaaar ahoraaa!!!

  • uuuuuuh no saben que escuchaaar ahoraaa!!!

  • I'm sorry, but the number of "translations" of this song have been so rife that I finally invested the money and hired an internationally recognized translation firm, who put it before 4 native speakers. 3 said it was mostly vocables. (Chanted words without meaning.) 1 said he could make out the following: Chant: Changing Woman (inaudible chant) (repeated 4 times); Deity feather (inaudible chant) (repeated 3x). Then it just repeats. The chants have no word meanings. They all liked the song, tho

  • @DreamsUnfolding Mind if I ask what this 'internationally recognized translation firm' was called? And what were the names of the Native speakers?

  • this song is so beautifull, reading the translation it touches my heart

  • @Mstealth89 do you think natives were speaking spanish in mexico without the spanish taking over, i guess they were speaking spanish with no envasion from spain ha ha.there r native people in mexico that were there bofore your spnish took over.

  • @Mstealth89 mexicans are spanish not native

  • @boomerlesterok Only 15% of Mexicans are white and 10% native and 70% mixed.Yes there is lots of natives that are Mexican.

  • beautiful indeed, lovely images

  • Thank you... beautiful.

  • I thought this song was about a Navajo shoe game (i'm navajo) It was sung by a Navajo elder too...idk I'm so confused @_@

  • Give America back to the Indians. The land and air will be cleaner, the animals respected and people will live in peace with each other and nature.

We Euro's screwed up the country...let the Native Americans make it whole.

  • God bless you, native american !! from Italy.

  • hammergeil solche musik.....SUPER!!!!!!!!

  • Respect from the Ancient nation of Hellenes (Greece)! Great worriers ! Both of US!

  • Such mysterious history

  • Love it, love it, love it.

  • I'm Australian, and i got no idea what i'm doing here, but I have to say, this song is just an inspiration towards Native Americans today.

  • I'm not at all a native american but i feel really connected with this people who endured too much things during the past...

Anyway, now it's the present, nothing can be repared, and i ask to you, natives americans to keep spreading your culture. I wish too that this heritage be the future of humanity because at my mind it's simply the good way that all of us should be.

ps : forgive my english, i'm french.

  • A WONDERFUL SONG THAT TRANSMIT THE SPIRIT OF NATIVE AMERICA, A SPIRIT THAT TRANSMIT IN ME A BEAUTIFUL FEELING!!!! :-) I LOVE NATIVE AMERICA!!

  • Thank you so much for this beautiful prayer... It is healing me. I do not consciously understand the lyrics, but I think that makes it easier to translate through the heart. thanks for this sacred gift. Blessings Abound

  • I wish to heal every heart that was treated unjustly in the past. Behold a spiritual revolution is just ahead of us. Your sacrifice was not in vain. Your time has come great brothers and sisters. Good shall now prevail.

  • Our Native American ancestors are here to talk to us and teach us if we meditate and listen. I was able to meet my great great grandfather this way. Our family is always with us and forever live on.

  • The translation to Yeha Noha is:

Let us eclipse the the sun and the moon with our spiritual and emotional being,

and let us transcend these physical barriers and negativity which have made us a nation of one.

May the winds of time put into motion this feeling we share with our Mother Earth and this universe till the end of time.

May the creator bestow upon us a grand sense of unity and peace which we will continue to pass on to our people, wherever they reside.

  • @Nanakkwettsi

    what language is this in?

  • @Nanakkwettsi i gre up speaking dine bizaad, and your wrong that is not what it translates to, your white eye make things up for what you do not know that's wy this world is so fucked up, don't speak what you do not know.

  • @scorpian8king I am not Dine though I have asked what this song translates to and the best translation I was able to receive was verified by several accounts. I am Newe and encourage you to stop your hate and judgement upon other people. It is not white people, brown, black, red or yellow that has messed up this world. It is one finger pointing and the eye refusing to see the hand. Peace to you, brother.

  • @Nanakkwettsi peace brother, but i have a disagreement with you. no it is not black white red or yellow who has messed up the medicine wheel of life here nowadays, what has made the world messed up is a combination of things, but i feel closely tied to your arguement: in response, i think it is those assuming unjustfully what one does not know, and the ignorance thereof, exemplified in your phony translation. keep your lofty comparisons and your mind in check. don't say things you don't know.

  • @scorpian8king I am your sister and if I am incorrect in the translation, then by all means, please provide the correct translation because people are moved by this song and want to know. I don't know what has happened in your life, but I can tell you are so full of hate. Whatever has lead you down that path, you must know there are people walking it with you. I wish you the best.

  • @Nanakkwettsi i don't know what has happened in your life either sister, but we live in a world where a president is controlled by others more wealthy and powerful than he. the 99% are tired and their efforts almost exhausted. The one percent with all the power and wealth is nothing new in dine tah' where i'm from. this time too will pas and fade away; i am not full of hate on the contrary i am full of love, everyone loves differently and it is a sacred thing. peace to you aswell sister.

  • @Nanakkwettsi thank you for the translation......i sing this song everyday in my car driving around...........my english dulcet tones probably don't do it justice...but i sing from my heart when i sing it . now i know what the words mean its makes it much more special .....thank you again

  • native americans have not gone.. if you have brown skin your pretty much native american.. from north to south america... white government put the 1/2 1/4 fourth rules just for their political benefits..

  • i want a wolf now haha

  • WE are all humans, U are all my brothers and sisters even if u love me or hate me. peace.

  • I'm not American, nor a Native from there, but this song is very touching.

  • may the great spirit bless us all! and show us the path to more understanding about one another and ourselves.

  • Aua aua Zahnweh^^

    und bei 1:21

    anne yey fu*kin nippel

    XD

  • Many of History is sad, but without its course many of us wouldn't be here. --- I respect many of my ancestors and am grateful to them all for their journey toward my exsitence.

I am caucasian and I have Native American from my mother's side - I deeply love every part of my herritage. My mother looks very much like the Native American within her and I find her to be quite beautiful, as well as I find with my father.

My herritage is a part of me - however - it does not define who I am.

  • I am like a forth of native american so this song is amazing to me <3 Loved it since I was a young young child & still do at 15 years old :D

  • This is a remix of a Navajo song about an owl stealing a ball from a giant, which was made by Germans. If you're going to bash Europeans perhaps you should do it on a song that wasn't made by them lol.

  • Thank you for putting this beautiful song up. Even a sizable number of white people would like to live like the first nations did because they like the first nations ppl, find it hard to cope with the cruelty the violence the greed of the modern system. the white ppl use to live like that too, and centuries ago in england, the peasants were forced off of their lands by the lords and barons. We need an alliance with all pples whether black, white, red.

  • I just have a question, how come i hardly see Native Americans? i've never met one before and i'd really think that would be cool.

  • @octoberboiy maybe cuz white people raped our women and children and killed our fathers and husbands.. duh.

  • @lexiepaigeclark No disrespect to your people, but what happened to your people because of the whites is history now. Can we all put the past behind us and move on to the future together? Can we create peace between your people and my people and become one family? I am White, I am proud, like you are for your Heritage. Its important to never forget your Heritage but to create a separation between us brothers and sisters under the eyes of God is not justifiable. Nothing comes from it.

  • @lexiepaigeclark For you information i am African American, My ancestors were mistreated way more than yours and for a longer time than yours were. That's no reason to live your life in constant anger. All of us today are the products of our parents mistakes but we must learn to move on.

  • @octoberboiy, I read your post and where I know, the african american race, their treatment was horrible and horribly wrong, I also know that atleast, they found a "use" for that race. The native americans, there purpose was to wipe out the entire nation. Kinda like, Hitler, in our own country. I am native american, my husband is black, and, it's just the way it was.

  • @WindDancer2u Thanks, and ya i know, the Native American race has truly gone through a lot. Thats why i wish i could meet some, because i feel like we have something in common.

  • @octoberboiy, Tashina, I appreciated your response. There seems to be a thread that runs through humanity as a whole, where power and control are the name of the game, irriguardless of the way. It is a great sorrow, within my spirit, to know this. And, it still goes on today. How does it all stop? Until people can comprehend that we are all in this together, that there is no room for greed and selfishness, the chldren of our world, will know hunger, injustice and violence.

  • @octoberboiy Lots of them died out. Some are still alive and some even mixed. Chances are you might already know someone who is part Native American. For example my cousin on one side is half Aleut and my second cousin on the other side is also part native American (I'm not sure what tribe.) I also grew up around a family of mixed Native American (I'm not sure what tribe but from South or Central America) and White heritage. I even have a small amount of Cherokee. Mixing is very common.

  • @EhnaRivekan That's cool, i know one girl who is native, but she was adopted

  • i hate the white men. they ruined our loving country. they are the ones who cause problems anywhere. i wish i could go live with my people like it was before the white men.

  • @lexiepaigeclark, It is not right to hate their color, hate instead, what they did, and hate it with a passion so deep, that you will forever remember the lesson learned. What it really is, is a sickness within mankind, a choice each of us make whether we are one with the mother earth and the great spirit or we sucumb to a degenerate soul.

  • Thank you for posting the lyrics in the original language.

though I would love to see the literal tranlation, I've always wanted to be able to sing along to this song.

Makes this big ol' gun totin', weightliftin', old school badass tear up

  • Beautiful song about proud and beautiful nation.

    Respect!

  • MARAVILHOSO

  • We are one.

  • I am from Serbia ( Europe),but I've always wanted to live like an indian,to be a part of this great people and to live in wilderness..... I love you.... :))))

  • I agree that this song is touching... I am Half apache and i have lived on the Reservations... We were brought up to love everything living thing.. even different people, but We cannot love people that have harmed us..We bleed the Red from the land why can't we be brothers and sisters like brother sun and sister moon....."Ku-ha nua he-sha ayeha na laena nae ka-shuaana neku hoho iha... Goyaałé {Geronimo, my great great grandpa}" Why can't the white eye share mother earth and father sky??

  • @wikedjackal i have hardly any idea of what u saiid but ii have great respect for u

  • @wikedjackal

Hi there, it is true, the 'white' way has been one of greed, contempt, hatred and destruction; and it has infected many people all over the world. Now is the time that all people remember and embrace the 'red' road - one of love and respect for life in all its expressions. There are people everywhere that wish this to come now. Maybe the time for unity and harmony has finally come, the time of meeting our true selves again. Greetings.

  • @ISa0elisAvlog Ja ^^

  • leg horn chicken dance spirit val blessing to you all thanks...,.., "'/

  • As i am sitting here i am thinking ,why, and you tell me why the people who were on this continent before anyone why is there hereitage taught in schools, why do they not have native history month you tell me,why are they still being kept in the dark, when you walk outside, when you drive down the street when you look around this was their land and it was taken and they were massacred for it and hundreds of years later the are still being repressed, thank you ancestors

  • @TheRockoBaninsky We do have Native American month in our schools.November I believe. Although sadly as much as they feel their contributing to Native Americans , the children still learn more or less what has been written in history books. We did however, have an American Indian come to our school one year and talked about preserving the earth...etc .and how his people always took care of it.

  • @ISa0elisAvlog I love the way you split smart from wise... :) Which is wise.. :)

  • Sometimes I'm asking myself; Why is it so hard to learn from our ancestors? Why do we live here for decates and still make the same mistakes? Why can't we just have respect for every culture? We don't have to agree with other people because we are not suppose to judge. I hope someday we learn. And since I can't change the world, I better start changing myself first...

  • Thank you I found this by accident and when I listened to it it resonated in my soul. When there is noise and chaos around me this song echo's through my head and calms me. It must be the Yakama blood telling me Peace and Tranquility.

  • but "we" are not all earth lovers are we? I for one do not feel like a part of the wite regime; they don't even know themselves, they don't hear the wind, or the birds, or anything, sing to them...the rest of who do have to put up with a bunch of earth-hating life hating, fear-loving, violence is what they know, and perpetuate; "they" are almo$t outta hear the money luvvers; the insanity i$ almost over; but not yet.

  • @ISa0elisAvlog

Thats not true, to be rich and smart is one of eternal lifestyles.

IFF you realy want to learn from them you need to life and to

    live like an indian.

    Good greetings from Germany/Saarland.

  • A Native American translation for this song:

Let us eclipse the the sun and the moon with our spiritual and emotional being,

and let us transcend these physical barriers and negativity which have made us a nation of one.

May the winds of time put into motion this feeling we share with our Mother Earth and this universe till the end of time.

May the creator bestow upon us a grand sense of unity and peace which we will continue to pass on to our people, wherever they reside.

  • @moondancer1955 No, your translation is wrong.

  • A Native American translation for this song:

and let us transcend these physical barriers and negativity which have made us a nation of one.

  • My ancestors are Choctaw and unfortunately my mother never looked upon her lineage with pride, God rest her soul. When I heard the first line being sung, the hair raised up on the back of my neck as if my mind and body were suddenly reminded of a distant time and place. The words, far more than the tune touched something deep down inside of me. Maybe it is not too late to find out who I was at one time. Thank you for the upload. If you have more in this vein, please keep them coming. sh ninanoah

  • @1955thekeeper i am a choctaw ,and i know the feeling.it was my father i never got to know, and my mother is gone now also.both our mothers are at the Great Campfire.i follow our heritage very closely.remember the Great spirit is always with us yeha noha

  • they got powers and lightning bows from the sun to come to this world and slay monsters which are esoteric for slaying evil, because if we accept use and appreciate all life and observe the suna nd the stars, we can overcome evil and life a lifeof beauty.

  • @scheming8rythem i really love you for this

I am navajo speaker from new mexico, he is singing about the twins sons of the sun, who before this world got weapons of lightening frm sun to slay evi

  • @scheming8rythem Thank you very much! the translation couldn't have come at a better time, it make's a lot of sense with how he's singing it that the meaning is somewhere along those lines, thanks much brother!

  • @TheSingingCello peace and love my brother we are all one people

    ya'ashod'lam

  • @scheming8rythem

    Wrong!!!!

The song describes the Giant's (Yé'iitsoh) lament at the owl's attempt to cheat by stealing the ball. The audible portions of the song say:

... shaa ninánóh'aah (you give it back to me)

... Yé'iitsoh jinínáá léi' (... The Giant says again & again...)

    ... ninánóh'aah (...give it back)

... shaa ninánóh'aah (you give it back to me)

... Yé'iitsoh jinínáá léi' (... The Giant says again & again...)

    ... ninánóh'aah (...give it back)

    Wiki the song

  • @downer719 look, i speak dine bizaad fluently and have been for years, im assuming you have too? your translation is interesting however, i wouldnt trust wikipedia if i was you. singing from the giants perspective to give back a ball? what signifigance does that have in din'e culture? none, your translations are totally incorrect down to the syntax of your understanding of din'e possesives and verbs structures, your a smart ass ill give you that but dont tell me how to listen to my own language

  • @scheming8rythem Youre right dont trust wikipedia it makes an absolute mess of Irish Gaelic syntax and translations so I doubt if it comes anywhere close to getting Din'e right. Our word for people in Irish is Daoine (Pronounced like Dine also)

  • @buaileamscith interesting how do you say "peace," in Gaelic? In Dine Bizaad it is ya'a'tay' -or- ya'ho'tay -or- ya'ashod

  • @scorpian8king Peace is Síochán (pronounced Shee-uh-KHAWN) or Síth (pronounced Sheeh). I remember hearing ya'a'tay when I lived in Turtle Island. I remember another phrase like Ton tay. Does that mean Hello/Goodbye in Dine Bizaad?

  • @buaileamscith very interesting, umm i dont recognize "ton tay," if anything it is very similar to hon'te which means "how are you," it may have been apache as dine bizaad has many different dialects. we also say peace a "hozho," or "nizhon," and great spirit we call it "diyin," (deeyin)

    ya'ashod'lam dii nihay din'e na'aszaan bikaa t'o'ayoo bi'hajo'ba diyin biɬo da'hwizhonii;yee

(it is great peaceful and agreeable that a lot of people of earth are having the love for all things)
