Yea we do have a very big population of squirrrels in Montreal, and where I live beside the railroad triage center and on the street there are many trees? I guess the earlier people living there with bad garbages habits might have made them felt at home or hotel lol! I also have hanging around Racoons, skunk, hares, red fox. Fences stops them, but not the squirrels.And they are safe with me, I scare them off, but don't hurt them. And yea they are cool beside that:-)!
Lol! Well I have a love hate relation with squirrels..I have a garden!! Destructive little things they are, even if they are so cute lol! And it cost my coop over a 1000$ to deplace them, and repair the damage cause by their nest in the roof. Good luck lol!
She wintered over. And as such became much too attached!:) We just released 3 male's We had for 13 weeks . And if I may say so. Proportionally speaking. If we were hung like these guy's. We would have a baseball bat between our leg's

We have a garden and a large Black Walnut tree so they leave most of our veggies alone.
Squirrels do not normally nest in houses unless their habitat is displaced
