I only learned I have AS a little over a year ago and I am in my late 40's. Life is difficult. Yes. I'm very dependent on my husband and that is very hard emotionally. I am a lonely person. I'm glad to have found it out if only to explain to myself why I've always felt so "weird" and an "outsider" in the world. Look forward to your videos!
Hi Angel. Asperger's is a birth to death syndrome. Many of us who were diagnosed as adults lived in a world where Asperger's wasn't really known enough about. Now, the focus is on getting kids help. We will be seeing alot of adults realizing that they have lived with it their entire life.
Thanks nothingunusual and robenel! It is a work in progress. I attribute most of my positivity to my faith and God. This is the only thing that gets me through. By the way...
I got really busy and not in the mood to record in my video diary...but more tomorrow night as I am going to Seattle. Look for me then! : )
I admire your positivity. I was wondering how much of your success you credit with your belief and faith in God? Personally, I have had a lot of motivation to develop my relationship with God and as this is the only answer that is even close to allowing me to overcome this.
It's always good to hear from another woman with AS. :)
And I agree, the understanding and self-awareness after diagnoses is quite something. I was only diagnosed last December and I've already learnt so much more about myself, even though the news still needs time to sink in completely.
Thanks for sharing.

Guys stop self-diagnosing yourselves aspie. I dunno why it has become so trendy these days! Most of you got low self-esteem.

32? You look like a young teen. I have AS too; people think I am 16 but I am actual 23. I wonder if there is a connection.

I say that Knowledge is power. Find a psychologist who understands aspergers in women. It just tied up many "loose knots" with me.

I didn't know I was an asoie until 18 months ago. By the time I found out, I'd assumed I had a maturity problem.
