There's a charm about the first game that Ubisoft could never replicate in a sequel. In the simplicity of it's combat, it excelled. The platforming was spot on. The diversity in culture and religious beliefs did well to paint a story where the factions themselves are not viewed evil as a whole, but rather many of their leaders are instead.
