First of all it took me 5 hours to download and install the demo. After that it took me another hour to try and figure out how they could make such horrible controls and camera system for this game. I'm no fanboy of Wow, but i will say that the controls and camera system for WoW are superior to any MMO i have ever played.

FFXI's movement is a little diffirent (i.e using the numberpad to move or the mouse) initially, but it can be easily changed.

you CAN go into the menu and set your keyboard to "compact" this will allow you to move with WASD, though you have to hit spacebar or enter if you want to start tying something but that's common of most MMOs

quick question how do you fight in this game is it like pokemon you tell it how to attack or do you use the buttons to swing the swords and punch... cuz i dont like games were i can completely control what my character does.. some1 answer me please

You select a target, you hit attack. Hit buttons for abilities, magic, etc. Just like most RPGs.

You can make a party anywhere.

But anywhere you go there should be people. Unless it's a remote area, rarely will you be the only person in a zone.

Will you be able to get somewhere in this game if you have like 2 hours a day of spare time to put in this game?

It depends on what your main focus on the game is. Right now, we are rebuilding our LS, so Kakarot and I spend a good 2 hours a day on the game, if we log on.

But some days, I log on for under an hour, then head out.

If your goal is just to hop on and killa few mobs, exp a little, two hours should be able to suit your needs.

When I have only 2 hours, I probably won't be able to do much else than killing a few mobs? Are there shorter and easier quests that you're able to finish within two hours? Beacuse of what I heard, I have come to understand that it is a game with depth and requires a great amount of teamwork, but are there solo quests?

How long does it take to form a party and finish a middle length quest that has a middle difficulty level?

It depends. Leveling is far easier then it used to be, what with sanctions and books at leveling areas that grant you more exp. Exp. rings etc etc. So if you were to try and just level past the level requirement of the quests, you'd be a lot better off.

But if you want to do pick up parties for quests, it might take a bit longer to accomplish things.

If you have higher level friends that are willing to help, much is a lot easier, they just go in and wreck things for you.

i used to play this but i stoped due to the fact that there is a serious lack of people that play it and it is hard to lvl lower lvl jobs because of that

I am not sure what server you were on, but if anything, there is too many people. Also, leveling is MUCH easier now. People who are higher level then you can now level synch down toyou, to form fast Parties and get XP. There are tons of XP bonus items and gear. Also, the low level areas have Traning manuals with missions, do them as you fight mobs and you gain extra XP per fight. It's nuts, I see people leveling so fast these days.

You can install all the information on your PS3. My cousin Kak plays FFXI on his PS3, so it's no problem.

it actually depends on what your looking for in a game, personally i like ffxi because of the fact that you can have 1 job with multiple jobs and a lot of different end game events to do as well as different mission story archs

wow does have it's good side, its one of those games you can pick up and play any time and feel like you got a lot of stuff done, but personally, i dont like how they basically hand you things, its a bit too easy imo
