  • Just how long is this solo and how many pages does it have? I gotta play this for nyssma in 7 months.

  • last note should be 2 octaves up :D

  • @uiomi It's an optional note. It's written so you can play either.

  • @google2346 haha no worries i know ;) i prefer the sound of the high note though!

  • @uiomi Same. The G he plays is just so boring and anticlimactic.

  • Adagio sounds more like a "jog" more than a walk but thats just me. I'm playing it more expressivo. Nice job overall though!

  • 5:43

I know it's an open G, but my teacher would've punished me if I had only played it with one hand. x'D That's some pretty badass playing though, I'm doing this solo for District contest, but I'm cutting 3:55 to 4:35

  • i have to learn it in two days its just horrible when i play it but its getting better, nice job!

  • Nice job! I know the beginning is supposed to be cadenza-ish but don't rush too much. Anyways, I have to play this piece in a few months : / lol.

  • Learning this for Senior band this year! :] -Ii Love the way it sounds. tones so smooth.

  • I am using it for my GHP audition this winter.

  • HI DAVID!

  • Woo. My band director gave me this piece today...concert in 3 weeks. It's actually not too bad. Lays under the fingers real well.

  • I have to play this for solo and ensemble...

Good luck to me man mine doesn't sound half this good yet...

  • ah -mazing. My sister is playing this song.... i tried playin it its extremely hard 4 me.

  • 2:20- 2:40

    brilliant

  • Georgeus

  • I was thinking about playing this for my solo, but it sounds pretty intimidating.

    I'm not so sure now...

  • I have to play this piece in a few months, and I'm really trilled about it. I love the Tarantella part. Especially the last page! :]

  • That was amazing ughhh I wish I could play it that good! I need it since I am trying out for districts and I already no I will make it but it won't be anything like this!

  • Very well done, and it sounds realy good.

I unfortunatly cant find information on Cavallini, his 3 grand duets (epic) for clarinet are very fun to play and sound brilliant.

  • dude! i have to play this as my district audition piece, and my instructor gave me a recording of it. There is no doubt in my mind it is this recording. ha, what a coincidence!

  • awesome!!!! u platy extremely well only thing i have to say is its ADAGIO e tarantella not Allegro e Tarantella lol but somehow u still played it really well 5/5 =]

  • Fantastico Ernesto Cavallini!

  • it's fantastic...i play this song too

  • only criticism I have is that there is a little much movement, but it definitely doesn't seem to detract from the player's musical performance at all. really sounds good- can't wait for a chance to perform this piece myself in a year or so:)

  • wow. you really rushed the adagio part. great cadenza though

  • wowowow.

im playing this in a few hours for solo and ensamble.

this definetly just destroyed my self esteem. that was incredible

  • Holy..... Wow! This is amazing.

  • oh. my. fiddlesticks!!!

i have to play this for my high school solo&ensemble!!!! AAHH i'm excited about playing this but overwhelmed, you know?

  • He must have improved that beginning because none of that is on the solo.

  • Nevermind, I stand corrected

  • No, its a different arrangement. you must be playing the one arranged by George Waln

  • 0:25-0:36 sounded ridiculously familiar.... but it doesn't appear anywhere else. Does anyone else recognize that from somewhere?

btw, I'm playing this for my Solo and Ensemble piece. I'm really excited, and I love it, but its REALLY HARD!!!

  • is that the guy who wrote this piece? orr whats that guys name. he is scarely gooooood

  • You're playing so nice.I think it's perfect.I love it.

  • i have to do this same piece for an exam its not that hard..

  • Aaaah! Holy crap! >o> I have to play that for a high school honor band audition. I think I'm going to die. It's in two days and I don't play it like that...... Well, guess who's not making that band!

  • DAYUM where the hell do you go to high school??????

  • Its not this exact version, and I screwed up today.

  • It's alright, i have to do the same peice for my all state band audition. I'm scared xoX

  • loved it! great intonation.I liked contrast in dynamics and technique.

  • i have to play that to get into a state band...gosh...it sounds hard!!!

  • i have to play this solo for my clarinet audition for district band in my area... poor me, 2:00s gonna kill me, maybe literally

  • wooh, fixed it, not quite this good, but i finally got a good amount, now if only i could find out the exact notes he plays for some of the parts he was playing, waaaaaay to fast for figuring it out by ear, still loving his style on this

  • my band is playing that with a solo player from the high school in my area...we're a middle school 8th grade band playing with her...yay us

  • omg I'm learning, correction, trying to learn, this for my NYSSMA solo and I'm am freaking out! you sound fantastic though, wish i could play my clarinet like this.

  • What level in NYSSMA is it? Im looking for a level six to do.

  • This should be a grade 5 piece. I know it's unbelievable but I'm looking for a solo and ensemble piece, and my private lesson teacher gave me a list of Grade 5 pieces and this is on it. I expected this to be a grade 6 or something higher than a 5. I don't know if I can do this one in time.

  • @rhsbandgeek24 What grade is it listed as?

  • Bravo, sounds great! Where is the beautiful hall you are playing in?

  • he sounded great...but I'm looking at the music now, and he squeeked a good amount in there.

  • beautifully done

  • the sound quality is surprising. this is such a beautiful piece. and a fun one at that!

  • nice... i'm playing a simpler version of this for my college auditions... i will say though, i wish the video had been done in one take.
