Its takes more than a wide vocal range to be considered talented.Britney had the sound that Jive was looking for coupled with the fact she was a good dancer and very entertaining to watch. American Idol is a fine example that a great singing voice doesnt guarantee success. And when did she call herself that?Besides Christina isnt exactly a "legend" herself you know.But those 2 had the stuff to remain in the business for a full 10yrs, so they are great in their own right.

I'm not one of those people who think that if you don't have a big vocal range you're not talented - I have respect for plenty of singers who don't have the biggest voices but I still think they're very talented.
