people follow george harrison an take up Krishna Consciousness chant and be happy hare krishna hare krishna krishna krishna hare hare hare rama hare rama hare hare (pronounced ha ray )
its a lil different not the same with a longer ending and god its the beatles why dfoes every video have an argument when what they stood for was peace and love let it go kindly explain not argue if anything just debate no hate
i CAN beatlesfan6270, the long 'different' ending you refer to is just edited off. this is EXACTLY the same version of the multitrack and as such, gives you some insight into how mixing works. (i'm a professional.)
i don't think this is an alternate version i think this is just what is called the 'multitrack,' with some of the sliders on some of the (mixer) tracks pulled all the way down. What is revealed? Well, for one, how well Paul sings, that's for sure!
no, george wasn't sure if it was he OR JOHN, on bass. he said so on the anthology. those who think John incapable - there's a GREAT, complicated line here on youtube on some tune or another.
hey geniuses -- all the bass work on this album was done last, which Paul began doing on the Pepper sessions. This is simply the original rhythm track, no backing vocals, percussion or bass. Apparently only Paul on piano, George on guitar (sometimes with the most bassy tone), and Ringo, all of who's parts are exactly the same as in the final mix (which fades into vocals only at around 3:40).

i'm not sure it's fair to credit the song as "Paul Mccartney's 'You Never Give Me Your Money'" as parts of it were definitely written and sung by john. but thanks for uploading :D
The reason is quite simply that John and Paul agreed from the beginning that all their songs would be credited to Lennon & McCartney, regardless of who wrote what.
(Even "Give Peace A Chance" is credited Lennon-McCartney, despite the fact that Paul was in a different continent when John wrote it.)
"You Never Give Me Your Money" is Paul's song from start to end.
True enough, but the point I'm making is that they both took the writing credit together, even if one of them made little or no contribution to the composition.

I like this rough mix. It also has a rocking ending too. Some people think it's At the Hop. It's just a 12 bar coda, that's all!

I think the bass parts were done on this song and a few others on Abbey Road by George on his fender jazz.
The master tapes show the bass parts played with take one (piano/vocal) of the take. Paul played and sang the song on piano-no bass.

No Echo on Paul's vocal as to the albums version here it is dry. No Lead Guitar either. Among other things.

Instrumental track sounds identical. Middle eight vocal sounds identical.
Ok, and middle eight arrangement is different too.
I like Paul's "Ohhhhhhhh" during the middle eight.
Bass seems less dominant on this version. The final version's bassline, btw, is one of my favorites. Paul at his best.
Thanks for posting this!
