I was here. Its funny, I was drinking Long Island Ice Teas (in plastic cups) and threw an empty cup up on stage. You can see the plastic cup and ice landing near Joey's feet during Teenage Lobotomy ha. Ramones RIP ::sniff:::
The Ramones shows were so full of energy. I loved how they always stepped up the tempo and played faster than there recordings. SWAN and I went to one of there last shows. At one point, we were in the middle of the mosh pit, slammin with all the younger people,( and SWAN is tall right, , like six foot six ), and when the Ramones finished the song, Joey sticks out his arm and POINTS to SWAN and YELLS into the mic, " YOUR GETTIN OLD MAN!!! ahhh,,,thoses were some good times.
"WOW! Hell yeah!! Love The Ramones. Been listening to a lot of The Ramones, Rancid, No Doubt, The Offspring, and Hey You! lately....We need more punk in 2011!!!!
Hey You! is still pretty new but they're really dope. cute singer girl too :-) check em out.
I believe it's the logo of Clay Smith Cams called 'Mr. Horsepower'. People who are into muscle cars usually stick it on something they own.... And yes, I'm a MASSIVE petrol head :D
damnit they dont make music like this no more fuck im 17 me and my band are bringing back the punk here in south florida all we got is scene kids doing theyre poor excuse for music long live the fucking ramonesss
i wish i could've seen them live atleast ounce in my life i mean sure we got cj playin their songs every ounce in a while but its not the same jealous of my uncle johnny got to see them live back in the 80's
i was at this show. eddie vedder sat two rows below me, upper seating area, before he went on, and tim burton was also sitting near us. Saw guys from Rancid in lobby early on. Was amazing show!!!
saw em 4 times including dee dees third to last show...im not religious but "god bless Joey Johnny and Dee Dee" i find no coincidence that the ramones stopped and all you hear today is DJ Jazzy Crackpipe and his hip hop crew...do you remember rock and roll radio?
only the ramones could play their songs twice as fast, and they still work?!.... also amazing there is no drop off from their very last note of 2263 shows and 22 years....when they couldn't get any better they quit rip ramones
@arnocardon Agreed dear friend but what i ment was any of the so called music today is stone dead !!!! The real fab four's music will live forever................And a day !!!!
Whats really amazing is The Ramones members didn't seem to suffer from any hair loss at all! Not bad for a bunch of old guys!!! Seriously tho - a major influence in music history. They were an important part of the 70s-80s music scene and will continue to influence for a generation to come. They deserve a lot of credit. RIP boys...
Read Monte Melnicks book & learn first hand about these guys.HOLY SH*T !!How they lasted 22 years is astonisning !!I'm glad they did.Thanx all members of the Ramones.
The Ramones rocked HARD. I saw this tour in Toronto and once in the mid eighties in Montreal. I could not take the live volume but I love their songs. I don't like the editing in this video or some of the angles. That said the band kicks major ass. Love it. Thanks for posting dood.
i would seirously go back in time to see The Ramones. Best punk band of all time. no doubt about that. All the best bands don't exist anymore. Total bummer. I always think about how amazing if they were still a band and joey, dee dee and johnny are still alive. It would make my dream come true. Too bad I won't ever get to see them. @punkadelicfuzz i'm sorry, but i have to disagree, he made a lot of great things in the feild of punk. but i think the best was Sid Vicious. He was everything Punk stands for, which is free rule, and total anarchy.
@punkadelicfuzz i suppose this is true, but i still prefer Sex Pistols. no offense, but i never liked The Ramones, their vocals have never been my thing. Marc Bell (marky ramone) was the drummer in the proto-punk/psych band DUST in 1971... the two LP's the released were actually great! KSHE in ST Louis was very fond of From A Dry Camel... in fact, I found a copy of it in some grandma-type's record collection the other day... freaky!
@hey138 i read somwhere it was johnnys decision because at then he lived in califonia but its true i dont know ... if it was its a strange decision from a band who call them self an all new york band!
