this doesn't actually show the most important part of the shoe. What was truly genius about it was that there is a horseshoe shaped heel that they would use to attach to little nail type things that came out of the stage when needed. they would slide the horse shoe heel up to the "nails" and lean forwards...it honestly takes a heck of a lot of strength to do with or without nails.
