i dont seem to get the visual hub after i create the image. Can you assist me. my email address is armando_552@yahoo.com. i appreciate your assistance.
For burning a movie DVD, will restrictions or permissions stop the creation of the image file. If it does work and I manage to make the disc image and burn the movie's disc image to a DVD, will the DVD work on my regular home DVD player?
Also, at 0:47, you say I need something, but I can't make out what you say, can you tell me please?
in any case, if it's a movie DVD, likely the permissions will not allow the first stage of the copy (to the Mac). at least that was true for me today when i tried it.
Also when I try to burn it via finder, I get this error message when trying to burn it..."the device failed to calibrate the laser power level for this media"
Please Help!
If anyone knows why this happened or what happened to me in my previous comment please help
I'm using a memorax 8.5GB DVD+R DL and when I try to burn the .dmg, it gives option to burn at 4x or 2.4x, and I tried doing both but an error comes up saying the disk is incompatible or I should try burning it at a slower speed. What's wrong? The disk should be compatible...it's a dual layer, right? Someone please help!
First, THANK YOU! I am new to the whole Mac world, and was beating my head against a wall trying to make a backup copy of my software : ) Question: is there a way to compress software to burn it? i need to backup a couple of applications that are over 4.7GB
i downloaded Snow Leopard off of Pirate Bay It's just finished downloading and says i need to" use disk utility to burn this disk image to a DVD and run this application again." Is this the right video for me?
@zachariahlevi Apple doesn't give you licenses. They don't protect their disks in the way Windows does, so you can use their software on any number of machines. It's not what Apple may want you to do, but no one's going to arrest you unless you're selling copies, etc.
i have 3 mac book pro and i want to install mac osx snow leopard and i bought the snow leopard for 1 user .can i copy the snow leopard and can i use to install to my mac book pro

When I tried this, the dmg was too big to fit on the blank dvd I bought, which is 4.7 GB -- did I buy the wrong blank?

@eleanorbat hey man. You need a Duel Layer (DL) DVD blank disk to burn snow leopard.

Unfortunately this method doesn't copy both partitions of the hybrid DVD.
There is a bootcamp partition on the DVD that is Windows readable and windows executable.
