I can't believe this movie is skipping Calgary. I actually rode on the 2816, on this very trip where they were filming, on the Calgary to Lake Louise stretch. It was amazing and I would have loved to relive it by seeing the finished film.
My wife and I went to Cincinnati today to see this film. The theater is actually intended as a planetarium and the visual effects of the distortion of the train, mountains, and grand scenery turned this adventure into a great disappointment. The content and story in the film is fantastic but completely ruined by the curves of this theater screen. If they ever do a DVD we will buy one but spending money on this particular theater is a bummer.
@kevdoom2 Yeh, that is what we need. Stunning vistas of trailer parks, swamps, and flat lands. Is everyone in your circle of friends as ignorant and daft as you? When your parents divorced, were they still brother and sister? What a shining example of colossal ignorance you bring to the table!
Really shows the glory of the railway and beauty of the country! Now, if we could only be building a new modern high speed monorail or Maglev railway across Canada, imagine what an accomplishment that would be, and what a great documentary it would make?!
Oooooooooooooooh ya!
