There are slight rumors that Ghost might make a comeback in Modern Warfare 3. Since people think Gaz from MW1 is Ghost, the undying is possible no? So thats why critics think Ghost comes back, that or under an Alias and the persona of anotheer character. Of course all this is pure speculation, and the truth will be seen on Nov, 8, 2011 when MW3 Comes out.

Becuase Shepard was lost, the americans lost his stratigies, shoving them farther into Hell's lower asscrack. That why the russians were able to invade other cities (New York NY was being attacked in the demo) which means that America's only hope would be for Soap and Price (and maybe the new Ghost?) Kill Makorov, and end the war.

@Raymund925 yes, everything that Shepard did (beside killing Ghost) was completely justified. Letting Allen die, letting the russians attack Washington DC, doing nothing to recover from it. All of this, completely necessary for him to win the war. (by letting a few 10,000 die he gained a few 10,000,000 soldiers) he was stratigizing, and he thought that TF141 might be a threat to his plan, so he let most of them die (justified) then killed off the survivors (COMPLETELY UNJUSTIFIED) but, he lost!

@kefkaROX well, He's kinda, Justified (except for Killing Ghost and "killing" Roach, his death was never confirmed, that was plain fucking unessesary) but the whole letting everything go to Hell's lower ass crack and getting all of america on his side was, well, Kinda important. If he didn't, the russians would have gone and whooped our asses, so by letting everything fall apart in Washington, he kind of made his army stronger.His one downside was that he fucked with Price, you don't Fuck Price!

I think people miss the point of how Ghost and Roach are killed. There is no reason to burn them, think about it. All their fellow team members are killed by the Russians (think about it, the other three guys almost always die), so why not just say Ghost and Roach were shot by Russians too and Shepherd recovered the data from them? No, the point is that they aren't coming back. No ambiguous death like Price, who did come back. Infinity Ward is likely not making more CoD games just to add on.

@thuxter1 Well, Roach was still some what alive when he was getting burned (he rolls his eyes around), and Ghost used his teamates jawbone to Dig his way out in the Novels, So he may still be alive, just the new "Ghost". The thing is, they never confirmed Roach's death like they did with Ghost. So its all up to speculation I guess. I mean Price was left for dead at the end of MW1 (they never confirmed his death) and he came back. I can only Hope.

@KillerPanda1200 There's really only ONE way that Ghost could have lived, and it's from something that NO ONE has EVER even though about. Ghost wears a balaclava. He wears gloves, boots, and the regular 141 suit, as well. In other words, his body is COMPLETELY covered. So maybe, just maybe, his balaclava was flame retardant. So basically, he was completely fire-proof.

i just hope that in mw3 the surviving members of task force 141 reunite and join some other agency or something like that
