  • That last Rod Stewart laugh at the very end is creepier than Darth Vader's breathing...

  • Ray Charles & Sarah Vaugn did a version of this.

  • ''Say what's in this drink?''

    Me: O_O..

    XD

  • ghastly

  • Aw

  • MERRY CHRISTMAS ENJOY!!!!!!!!

  • I've seen Rod Stewart in concert-awesome, esp. when Ronny Wood showed up. And Dolly Parton, what can I say except BOOM!!!

  • Rod Stewart is the Justin Bieber of my parents' generation.

  • Sang beautifully by Rod and Dolly. I don't know how old the people are who write the negative comments, but this song was made when it was ok to smoke cigarettes, he is not spiking her drink it's just a strong drink when she says "say what's in this drink?" Find real issues to complain about and try to enjoy music without being analytical. Merry Christmas.

  • Thank You Rod and Dolly!! Just wish we could've seen you singing this together! You two are two of the most beautiful people in this whole world!!! And you sing as good as you look...Uh Huh!! You're the BEST!!!

  • I'm certain that if someone dug up Frank Loesser they would find him face down after hearing these two hacks butcher his wonderful song. Stewart a crooner? Listen to him, he can't sing.

  • Nastily recorded with over-the-top limiting and bad sound-staging.

  • Very professional! I can't understand tha Big stars are singing, they know how to entertain :). The ending is also different from all the other versions ;P

  • This is what happens when you have Rod Stewart and Dolly Parton sing this song. They bring the sex. ;)

  • Wonderful I love them !!

  • What a great duet!!My favorite version of this very popular song!!!!!!!!!! very sexy!!!!!!!

  • :D

  • My favorite version by far of this song. They are perfect for this duet!

  • DATE RAPE <3

  • This version is my favorite

  • @risingphoenix86 apparently he plays ps3 not xbox that changes everything

  • Meow :P

  • This is my favorite song on his American Songbook collection. She sounds so cute. It's cute and a little naughty. ;)

  • >Lindo.....

  • @JoeCaliforniah I'm not gay and I also prefer the glee version over this... But I prefer Margaret's version over the glee one

  • Haha no wonder she gave in at the end. He spiked her drink!

  • 3:42 wow that's an ugly fucked up face. She sounded so playful and sexy, but once u see this, i think im so scared she gonna accidentally eat my dick along with my balls.

  • This is good but Tom Jones and Cerys Matthews do a great version too

  • Glee version is SO MUCH BETTER!!

  • @GleeLittleMonster for gay and faggits. yes its nicely sung.

  • @JoeCaliforniah Sorry, but im not gay and im not a faggit and still i preffer de Glee Version :3 U stupid...

  • Well it's a decent attempt at a classic song. A lot of people try it and Rod does is fair but Will Farrell in Elf beat him out. What can I say.

  • haaaay hermosa cancion incluso las personas que no entienden el ingles , claramente con la sensibilidad y juego de voces magistrales se entiende el coqueteo y romance ............... AMO A ROD ¡¡¡¡

  • Love this! Just the best!

  • i love his voice <3

  • its not that bad worse if uve heard it karoake........blech,....its 2 ppls interpretation of how they feel......all in one persons OPINION

  • If they ever dig up Frank Loesser, I'm sure they will find him face down. I know he turned over in his after hearing these two trash a great song.

  • hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrribbble.

  • nada mejor que el buen jazz, que deleite de buena melodia y la magestuosidad de estas dos grandes voces, se hacen placenteros mis dias oyendo ta deliciosa melodia...

  • Love it = Yall that dont suck it

  • terrible

  • Two words: They suck.

  • @AlbanianGuyPTP1 Two words: You swallow.

  • I noticed they excised the line about having "just one cigarette more". I guess smoking isn't politically correct anymore. Spiking a girl's drink (or at least plying her with alcohol to get her drunk enough to stay and sleep with you), however, is still perfectly acceptable.

  • @CrazyOldMaurice69 Apparently lung cancer is worse than non-consentual sex

  • @CrazyOldMaurice69 Yes, totally acceptable.

  • Holy fuck I'm seeing Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks tomorrow. Hooooooooooollllyyy fuuuuuugggggg.

  • @InsideUCLA71 Now wouldn't that be a duet!

  • Cool video - you have some great uploads

  • Does anybody know when this version was recorded?

  • @VanniaF In mid-August of 2004 and it was released in October of 2004 on Stardust: The Great American Songbook Vol. III.

  • Love this version as well :-)

  • Wonderful, Breath of fresh air, Thank U :)

  • This is the best version.. is there any video these 2 performing live?

  • This is my favorite version!

  • Bueno muy bueno, un placer escucharles

  • Somebody tell her that its her massive tits in that drink...

  • AHH, THAT WICKED,EVIL LAUGH AT THE END.....BAD, BAD ROD!!

  • Love it.

  • you all are wacked... I wonder what KINDA TROUBLE dolly & rod could get into after a few drinks on a cold night!!!!!!!!

  • Btw-people keep bringing up the date rape analogy with the drink. Come on- the song is a classic. Can't anyone see this song for what it is? An old fashion song when girls should not have been out super late- nonetheless with some guy at a house/apt. So what if they are enjoying drinks? There are two adults singing this song and she is torn between wanting to stay with him and having to do the so called" right thing"(for back then)-GO HOME FOR THE NIGHT-in the snow,no less.

  • @THEGRINNINGDOGGY

You nailed it. Everybody else relax now and breathe.

  • My absolute favorite version of this song. Dolly sounds so feminine, delicate, innocent yet sexy. Rod? Rod is fabulous Rod, playing the pleading beau.....

  • :) Baby it's Cold outside..Cooooooooold

    Interesting!

  • Definitely, i'm waiting for Rod record his Christmas album.

  • At least there will be plenty implied - If you caught pneumonia and died

  • Nice, but can't help myself - do check out James Taylor and Natalie Cole's version - theirs is sincerely a dialog one must not miss; truly is sublime :).

  • kikyo, you are out of your damn minddddddddddd!!! This is classic. Keep your thoughts to yourselffff. "oh but it's cold outsiddddddeeeeeeeeeeee"" Yesssssssssss!!!

  • @LWFguapo What the hellare you talking about? I think this song is amazing. You got the wrong person, buddy.

  • It sure is cold outside :)

  • boobs

  • I like there voices together.

  • Dolly is beautiful!

  • This song sounds completely different depending on who sings it! I love the mellowness of this version, Dolly just sounds so innocent!

  • This may be worse than Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas time. It doesn't even sound like these two have ever met each other

  • I just heard this on the radio today. Rod and Dolly are great together in this! Really nice.

  • @RudeCock.I have always loved Dolly.I think this is the best version of this song.

  • I love this version because of Dolly Partons take on it. I love her take on it. =) that giggle at the end ^^akes ^^e giggle too. =)

  • Nice cover of this song. Two very different voices blended together for a nice duet. Dolly and Rod are part of the American Music History.

  • What the hell is wrong with you morons. There is nothing creepy about this song. It's a great song written in a more innocent time. If Dolly's singing it, it must be OK. People quit reading your own mental illness into every aspect of your life. Shut up and enjoy the song. Simple song, girl trying to find a reason to leave but wants to stay/guy wants her to stay.

  • @TMK30 While I agree with you about the meaning of the song, the fact that it was written in the '30s, or the fact that Dolly Parton is singing it would not make any difference if it was about date-rape.

The past isn't always as innocent as you might think.

  • @TMK30 actually the song is about rape... according to the cracked article "8 Romantic Songs You Didnt Know Were About Rape". search it up if you want.

  • @risingphoenix86 So far I've been reprimanded by a 15 yr old and a 17 yr old. Two people who probably think Big Time Rush is a great band. A Cracked article? Are you fucking serious? Go back to playing your X Box and listening to Lady Gaga.

  • @TMK30 aHAHAHA I've never even heard of Big Time Rush and neither do I listen to Lady Gaga (I hate her/his "music") and I play PS3 not Xbox. Umad bro? I never intended any malice in my previous comment but apparently you've had a bad day. Go fuck yourself faggot.

  • @risingphoenix86 Wow, go fuck yourself faggot, How will I ever recover from that?

  • @TMK30 Oh my! Such a powerful reply! Now to leave this pointless "argument". I don't even like this version of this song anyways.

  • *Backs her into a corner* " You aint leaving till i get some."

This is such a creepy song lol ~So Not A Christmas song

  • does the line, whats in this drink? give anyone the pre-date rape feeling? lol

  • To those who think the lyrics remind people of creepy date-rape scene, I would like to point out that we have degraded over the decades. We go for extremes of either believing in absolute safety or in constant peril. Date rape existed in 1949 as it does today. The lyrics wisely hint that GOOD GIRL always ask what's in the drink. As a matter of fact, the song is about how a man refused to let a girl leave. Obviously they married later and had children. That was how we came to this world.

  • @sillymanda88 No, just makes you seem like a big idiot for thinking and/or writing that. Way to go, taking a great song, sung by two of the greatest and putting a bad spin on it.

  • @sillymanda88 great another person doesnt get the text of the song......probably think that justin b is music,,,,,ha!!!!

  • VERY good duet!!!

  • A classic pop duet challenge. They met it .

  • Are those things real?

  • @kobebryant9981 Noooooo ... she's been really "up front" about that for eons! ;-) ... Part of the "look."

  • @TheEmpressVox, I agree. This is weird. Even Lady A got it better.

  • Dolly Parton kinda creeps me out.D:

    But this song is amazing.<3

  • ....this is...a weird version

  • rod stewart is soo hot !

and his voice is ommg < 3

  • I love Dolly Parton. This song is one of the many reasons why.

  • Perfect 2 iconic voices together! Awesome!

  • I love playing this on my stereo :)

  • I like that he puts an 'r' at the end of pneumonia....pneumonier

  • Rod's voice is so awesome, so perfect for this song!!

  • who sang the origilal song

  • i thought this comment section BELOW are for NON-HATERS

haters, or trolls, please, get some dark corner and rant as much as u want >:D

  • glee version is alot better

  • @imak1992 ... Who cares?...

It's not better. just more your taste.

  • @imak1992 Glee sucks actually.

  • Nice avoiding the question "Hey what's in this drink?"

  • @Ally657 lol

  • @Ally657 I heard that too. Did Rod slip Dolly a date rape drug or what? LOL.

  • I like both singers, but thought this would be awful. Surprise! Not bad at all! My all time favorite version, though, is Vanessa Williams and Bobby Caldwell.

  • @McKennahLane Wow, you have no taste in music whatsoever. Hater.

With that said, I don't know what the hell you're talking about. This version is beautiful, soft and sexy.

  • @Kikyogirl HOW can you say this is SOFT and sexy? It's like they are shouting or trying to overpowering each... and that was my point. It's two super-stars trying to one up each other. It's so bad - it's funny. Plus - what song is Dolly singing? She's got some weird melody...

as I am writing this the song is playing again... oh COME ON! Just as ONE example.. Dolly pumping it out at 2:30...and that's soft and sexy??????

You people have been hitting the EGGNOG a little too much! :P

  • @McKennahLane What are you talking about... maybe we are both listening to 2 different versions... they sound great together and I hear none of the issues you are hearing... maybe it is your sound card...

  • For the BEST version see Tom Jones and Cerys Matthews. Tom's manly roaring purr, Cerys baby-talk voice, and the great staging. love, love, love it.

  • I don't know what I don't like about dolly parton's voice.....I think it's because she sounds like she's driving a rickety truck down an unpaved road..... or sticking her face into a fan while she sings.....but I love Rod's voice. oh, well...I'll keep looking for different versions..

  • Very cute pair! Best version!

  • best version by far :)

  • Nice for Thanksgiving night ! Rod's voice is so special !

  • In the 70's, he was the "Rod man" only the best looking women.. sigh, how have we all gotten old??!! Still has the pipes though (and I heard the 1st nickel he ever made!!)

    Good mix

  • I agree. Best version!

  • cool

  • Well... they're no Doris and Bob... but this is a really cute and playful version, and very well done! Dolly and Rod's voices sound great together... who'd a thunk it? Rod sounded like Louis Armstrong there at the end, on the line "Just give me 5 minutes more"... bet it was intentional.

  • everytime im feeling cold this song would just warm me up!:)

  • lol I like the ending :D "Ya sure know how to wear a girl down, dontchya.."

  • I love this version!

  • WTF has happened to Rod? How can he do this shit? Ron Wood should give him a smack upside the head and knock some rock and roll sense into him.

  • BEST VERSION EVER, PERIOD. :)

  • there is a rumor going on dolly parton has fake boobs

  • @dmk3434

I volunteer to check 'em out !

  • I love this song and this version!

  • Girls give in to naughty boys! Argh...!

  • This is the way the song is supposed to be sung, slow, seductive and oozing sex.

  • I wish I could do a duet with Dolly and Rod. :(

  • @iWuffle Trio!

  • the absolute, by far, and without question, best version . So much appreciated.

  • Love Rod and Dolly ! Dolly is my Idol!

  • grazie- bello

  • i lie this song...

  • yes, its cold outside, don't go....

  • Their voices are perfect. This is a great version. Nothing can touch the Leon Redbone version. However, this is pretty damn good.

  • Mmmm good mix of voice timbre.

    Great song eh?

  • brilliant.....
