  • I"ve heard doing this with the use of the nerve stimulator is quite painful indeed. I get panic attacks even doing something under "local" and HATE being awake for procedures but, would think about doing this except I'm not so sure now with that "nerve stimulator" process. I'd have to have a massive dose of xanax and maybe something else too...dunno about doing this with that "nerve stimulator" thing...

  • I have had this procedure done for my severe heel pain and have been pain free for 2 years now. I am so glad that I had this procedure done. I did not have the procedure done by Doctor Katz but I thought I would make the comment for anyone who is thinking about the procedure and not sureif this is right for them. I would suggest getting the procedure.

  • Do you know if there are any Drs. in Olympia, Wa. that do cryosurgery for mortons neuroma?

  • Can they do that for heel pain? I have had steroid injections and it did not help what are my other options? I have gone for an EMG for my heels, will not go back till October to see what's going on.

  • Yes the procedure can be used for heel pain. However, you would need to be examined to make sure that your heel pain is coming from certain nerves in the area.

  • Thank you drmkatz

  • How long does it last for?

  • It can be permanent for many people. However in some cases another procedure may be needed. In any case it is far superior to the traditional surgery.
