  • Oh this is majic!

  • I am back in time as a Freshman in college!

  • this is almost as good as rap.

  • ... hope it was a titty-card. happy birthday,my man & best to you in 2k12 let the Led out, often. i think that grace under pressure is Rush at it's peak lol not easy to judge one from another (as) i believe that all their stuff is good.

    - i saw them once,on the 'farewell to king's' tour and hope to see them again. thanx for this upload,

    ja.

  • @JohnAllanification They I now right John...Ha! i found you.

  • Best rush song, to bad they haven't played it since the Power Windows Warm Up Tour March of 1985.Me In Florida, just two months old.

  • Fantastic recording!

  • some of Alex's best playing and sounds, really hear different strings tones. IMO

  • I used to have a cassette tape of the soundcheck for this show. They spent about 10 mins just programming the swelling sequence that you hear on the bridge. It its out there somewhere. As far as the comments about the late 80's Rush...all the rock then was pretty bad/mellow (remember, More Than Words). But, if you take each Rush era separately, then Power Windows and Hold Your Fire have some great music. HYF has some of Ged's most "melodic" bass playing ever.

  • That's great and rare stuff

  • I was fortunate enough to attend a Grace Under Pressure concert during the tour! My

first Rush concert was February 77 when

the boys fronted Ted Nugent. (2112). Thanks for the awesome memories!

  • WHERE THE FUCK DID YOU FIND THIS?? This is cool as heck!!!

  • @GGBundy These things are all over the internet you just need to know where to look.

  • Wow incredible recording!

  • wow this sounds GREAT!! where can I get this??

Shows I have from this tour are so so sounding..

  • Thank god we outgrew mullets...

  • FANTASTIC FANTASTIC FANTASTIC Rush is different to the others....

  • WOW... Never new this was recorded .. I was at this Show..

  • geddy's vocals of some of the best ever here...

  • the Geddy`s bass sounds different....... what do you think about???? and the song too???

  • Well of course it sounds different its a different recording

  • @ontherush77 I do almsot like this versions sound better

  • @santyrush I noticed that too, at the beginning. I think he had a chorus effect on it for that beginning riff.

  • @santyrush Geddys using waaayyy to much chorus effects on his bass which i believe is a steinberger on this tour.He binned it after this tour

  • @santyrush geddy is so badass. Nobody will ever play bass like him.

  • @santyrush Geddy used a Steinberger on this album and tour, plus the beginning sounds like a chorus pedal is being used.

  • I'd love to hear this version of Subdivisions if it's part of this recording.

  • Ask my friend pinkfloydrule27 I'm sure he'll be happy to upload it

  • they really mixed the bass well on this live show.

    wow.

  • YES! I was at this show. This was my 5th RUSH show (out of 29!). Loved the Cap Centre. Miss that place.

  • Looked at my ticket stub last night...this concert was on Thursday, September 27, 1984.

  • I was at this concert...I believe it was either in August or September of 1984 (the beginning of my senior year in high school). The opening band was Helix (and they were awful). One thing I remember about this particular song was everytime Getty sung 1-0-0, 1-0-0, red lasers would hit the stage from above. It looked very cool. They sounded great. It was a fantastic concert and I feel lucky that I saw them then. Sorry to see the Capital Centre gone now, though. It was a great place for concerts!

  • "Geddy"

  • awesome..the gods

  • Oh... and do you know if they've ever played Chemistry live?

  • Indeed they did and I have a live version if you want me too upload it.

  • Oh, yes please mate... I love Rush so much... I saw them in 2007 and 2008... wish I could have seen them when they were younger (not in the 90's though.. they looked horrible Ha!!).

So yeah, I'd really appreciate it if you could upload that. Thanks again :-)

  • I dunno they were pretty awesome in the 90s but from 1985 to 1988 they were just awful i hate Power Windows and Hold Your Fire they make me physically sick but Roll The Bones and Counterparts thats good stuff.

  • Yeah, Counterparts is incredible. I like Hold Your Fire... don't like Power Windows so much. I mean, they started out almost as a metal band, and then they dominated progressive rock, and PW and HYF are just... too soft. Presto as well, but they dropped all the synth crap in Presto, so that was good. But ya, in the 90's they started getting heavier again... and now I feel like their music is more like it was back in the 70's and early 80's than ever before. Early 80's was their best, though

  • But Mission and Tai Shan AAAAAARGH WHY RUSH WHY

  • Hey, Mission is a great song! haha... Tai Shan I can agree with... and High Water. Just crap. And Big Money.. I HATE that song. Marathon is great, though... and so is Open Secrets. One of my favorite songs ever :-)

  • the big money is good but i also agree with tai shan, high water is OK... i like all the rush albums, grace under pressure was one of their albums that had the most spirit.

  • i think every decade of rush has one song that can make you physically sick in the

70s it was cinderella man in the 80s it was mission that song is just pain to my ears and hold your fire in general have several that can equall it probably open secrets i think the best on the album is force 10 but to me thats just a bad song among WOEFUL songs (actually i dont think the 90s has a song that makes me sick, maybe resist the acoustic version is alright but the studio version sucks)

  • I would love to have a recording of this concert from the Capital Centre, if that's possible. It's pretty rare when someone can get-a-hold of a recording from a concert they attended. Please let me know! Thanks!!

  • if you want i can send you the links to download this recording

  • That would be great. Not sure if you have the entire concert, but if you do, that would be fantastic. Thanks so much.

  • i think it has a few tracks cut but its still got about 16 tracks

  • Looking forward to hearing them. Thank you!

  • I was wondering if you'll be able to send me the link to down-load this concert from the Capital Centre. I would really appreciate it if you could. Thanks!!

  • Are you still able to send links to download? That would be awesome.

  • Sorry I can't find the download for this one but I found another one from this tour from madison square garden the qualities not as good but it's still a recording worth getting

  • RIGHT ON! Thanks so much for posting.

  • I used to live in BC, where the hell is Largo?!

  • I honestly have no idea I live in the middle of I just put what it said on the site.

  • This is in Largo, Maryland at the old Capital Centre. He's refering to the Washington D.C. area.

  • FANTASTIC! THX!!
