My father who was from Balagat couldnt understand a word so taught us all English.
I could speak it fluently at the age of 4 but have forgotten most which is a shame.
Bu yeah Dravidians are unique from the rest of India and are gifted in many ways. Their food, hospitality and humour always set the standard when i go back to visit.
some years back, I have read in a news paper that malayalam has been found teh fastest language in the world ,by a language researche institute in USA.

Man that Dravidian tongue has got to be the fastest language ever spoken!
Malayalam is the only language that has the highest rate of words per second.
I could listen to malayalam forever and a day and never get bored. I dont understand a word but wow its unique!!
