I was talking about the teams defense and goaltending....they are after-all the 2 most important components to a winning franchise....Price has 0 confidence and after Markov, the habs defense is thin....reminds me of Kaberle on the Leafs last year.

But now that you mention it, the offense isn't all that great either...Blake and Poni had more goals/points last year then Gomez & Gionta, and w/o Iginla we'll see if Cammi can duplicate last years success.

Hahaha...I didn't say anything about Toronto being a contender this upcoming season...I am still very realistic about that...I just believe that Montreal will not be as strong as last years team...both teams may very well miss the playoffs.

Cam Ward is a top goalie...I would be more inclined to compare Price to Toskala...both have a lot to prove this season.

as for the d and goaltending, hamrlik is still a solid option even if he is overpaid, and spacek was signed to help the pp more than anything, and believe me he will. in addition gorges will only get better, and mara/gill is a pretty damn strong 3rd pair by anyone's standards.

...price remains the biggest question mark, and much of our success will depend on him. however, i think he is at least as good of a goalie as cam ward or pascal leclaire, and those two have the confidence of their respective teams.
